- When David Bowie came to Singapore for his Serious Moonlight tour in 1983, he paid a visit to this shopping mall called Far East Plaza. Seen here is a footage extracted from his Ricochet documentary released in 1984 that showed his Serious Moonlight tour in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bangkok.

In 1983, David Bowie performed in Singapore's then National Theater, near River Valley Road. No other major 80s pop icon would perform in Singapore for the rest of the decade until the 1990s when the Indoor Stadium was built.

This was my old hangout. Missed this but once saw two members of depeche mode in one of the malls just walking around like tourists and nobody knew.
Oh ya coz DM were staying at Goodwood Park hotel just next to Far East Plaza.
@@kidgmusic I see, it was in the mid 90s, I think they came as tourists.
@@redskysaturn75 they were here for a concert at Indoor Stadium. 1st March 1994. I was there. Actually met them again the next day at the hotel’s bar for a quick interview. But only managed to speak to Fletcher, Gore, and later on Gahan. Totally starstruck haha.
