Been waiting for a video like this!!!!!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉 Sydney and Femke Bol showdown will be crazy. A couple of days ago Femke Bol ran a 50.95 getting her 3 tenths of a second off of Sydney’s 50.65. It’s going to be a close Olympics. I think that a sub 50 second 400m hurdles is coming up with the competition push. Would love to see Grant Holloway world record in the 110m hurdles.
There will be no sub 50 sec in 400 m W hurdles that’s crazy talk ….. note: some people who predict the sub 50 sec claim Bol is light years away from current 400 m h records which is only 0.30 sec away lol
Sydney was not hurt in 2023. I think that Sydney's "injury" was a cover. Syd is still the class of the 400mH but Femke is just a bit behind. The race is for bronze.
Sydney did a lot in Late 2023 and Early 2024 that was more Brand and less track and field related as did Athing Mu. I think that Bobby Kersee used some of the injury talk to keep them out of running too many meets as well as to allow both time to pursue their Brands. With both Sydney and Athing being top shelf, the need for higher volumes of meet level intensity is not as needed. The strategy, so far, has worked well for Sydney. Not so well for Athing.
Athing Mu just finished with a 2;00.29 in a "B" level race. 2024 is just not her year and I suspect unless something lights/re-lights her fire, Mu will exit pro level track. As for Sydney, I think the off year focused on a different event (400m) as well as time away for both branding and time with André, has kept her focused and on track. As for predictions, Sydney: low 50's (new WR), Bol: mid 50's (under 50.65). After that, Rushell Clayton and then Anna Cockrell both with low 52's.
As a non-US citizen, despite the US hurdlers looking stronger than they have before any Olympics, I can't let you have it all your own way, so I'm going to predict Cyréna Samba-Mayela for the 100mH. You can have the other three events.
@@felixsamuel3632 great question! We didn’t forget about Toby. In fact, we she came up a few times in our conversation. I’m not sure if her name is mentioned in the video, because we had to edit it down quite a bit. We know she’s a force, but just hasn’t run as fast as some of the others more recently.
@@acemethodcoaching9102 I guess we will have to see. one thing I know for sure is that the female 100m hurdles is very competitive and it always spring up surprises

Another Great Video. Wish u did the high jump, Yaro doing 2.10m was amazing
I'm team Bassitt. Gotta love an underdog who always has alot of fight. Will be fun to watch all the hurdles. Look forward to your race breakdowns.
@@bbsoccer2350 thanks! Yeah, he is a very impressive competitor! He knows how to step up in the big competitions.
May be the deepest general event group of all American events in Paris. Can't wait.
Agreed. Thanks for the comment!

We're hoping for a surprise.

@@acemethodcoaching9102 Yep. US had an amazing Olympics in the Athletics and Cyréna seemed happy enough with her silver.
1:10 thats wrong. Daniel Roberts competeted in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and made it to the Semi-finals
@@calloforestis3126 good catch! I’m sorry I didn’t pick up on that earlier.
@acemethodcoaching9102 no worries. Keep up the great work, i have been enjoying your content
how come they forget about Tobi amusan for the female 100m hurdle. she is the world record holder

Tobi didn't even make the finals. Now that the spotlight is on Tobi, she is not running as fast. Makes me wonder...
Holloway 12.82, Benjamin 45.91, McLaughlin-Levrone 50.49, Masai Russel 12.22!!
Wow! Not only predicting the winners, but also predicting their times! That’s awesome!
