The first time HM really broke tradition by looking after Diana's boys & a lot of people can't understand why she didn't immediately return to London. Maybe someone should ask why Diana extended her holiday with Dodi leaving 'her boys' with the RF
Because she was too busy looking after Diana's sons? Diana had already delayed returning to London to stay on with Dodi - Tiggy arrived at Balmoral just after the RF returned from church that Sunday - Tiggy was to take the boys back to Diana

@@farwakhantanoli7512 Pretty sure hes saying that people are being judgmental about the Royal family's relationship with diana. People use Diana as a Martyr to voice their displeasure of the Royals.
HM was one that could read a room. HM hadn't known someone as dynamic as Princess Diana but she learned. HM took that time to grieve and study Diana and found the formula and used it herself. HM knew how to adapt. However, the moral of this story is what saved HM's reputation was her honesty and candidness. HM, in this moment threw the never explain policy out the window and explained the situation to everyone. Everyone knew where she stood and why. It was HM that gave Princess Diana to the world. So, the world expected HM to show she respected her own selection.
I always thought the anger behind the lack of presence of the royal family was so immature yet natural. Everyone was expecting the stages of grief, and part of that is anger. I do believe Her Majesty made the right call to be a grandmother for her grandsons who just lost an integral part of their life in such a devastating manner.

People were always complaining that the late HM was too duty bound - she really went into grandmother mode for the boys - then people complained that she should have left the boys & looked after them instead
I think history has been rightly kind to Queen Elizabeth in this moment. It was clearly a very personal, family situation and Diana had no always been very kind to the press regarding the royal family (including her former husband, after their divorce). I appreciate that she paused before acting in such a highly-charged situation.
I think this had to be hard for the whole family. She had her grandsons to worry about. I loved Diana but her interview with Basheir made some scathing remarks about all of them. Bottom line, they may be royals, but they are human beings with very real human feelings. I salute the queen for all she did. Most of all for all she did for Diana’s boys! GOD save the queen and the family that truly loves her!
I completely understand the Queen's position on this. She did everything to maintain the Institution, which must always be bigger than the person in charge. She acted like this all her life and Diana could not be Queen, because she was bigger than the State itself. Two different things. The Queen was right about that. It is very risky when a Governor becomes more important than the State.
Come on now ... The true is that the queen didn't say a word for 1 week and she only react because the public has shown so much love for Diana and were so angry st the queen for keeping silence for so long.
@@susanlockyer1192 No she shouldn't. Her first duty was the Charles and boys - of course it was. But... she should have made a brief "holding statement" tribute from Balmoral as soon as possible after the news broke. Either on TV or in writing. Total silence looked bad and uncaring. And then when she made the full speech, she should at least have *tried* to sound as if she meant it. ;-)

Yes‼️‼️LONG LIVE THE QUEEN HAPPY AND GLORIOUS What a noble woman 🇬🇧♥️🔱🌠⚓️👑👛🦮🐎
Just because she was born royal doesn't make her right. She had to do something to save their collective royal butts and so one of her speechwriters came through with what people wanted to hear. She never cared about Diana and did nothing to help her.

The fact that the queen died now…. I’m speechless
LIZZYS in a box! ☘️
Royals and politicians need to remember they serve the people and not the other way round. Without the people they are nothing.
That's exactly what the queen did for 70 years.
I so much admire late queen, lady, princess of Wales, Diana Spencer, rest on
I was 4 when she passed. My mom was so upset. She loved Princess Diana. That’s prob a reason why I’m so into the royals.
And she also bowed her head as Diana’s cortege passed in front of her, in front of Buckingham Palace. That was a first, I believe. 👑
It was.
The Queen did bow in return to Diana's curtsey & bow at the wedding. The Queen did bow as the coffin passed, as did Duke & Duchess of Kent - Margaret gave a very small nod just before one of the mounted officers blotted her out
The Queen seemed so cold then as compared to now. I wonder what changed. But she just seemed so heartless during her speech about Diana. She was so warm in recent years
Shut up, she didnt seem cold and she never has. Theres traditions, that arent supposed to be broken. With all the respect, Diana wasnt a member of the royal family anymore.
please don’t forget.
when cortège went passed,
Q.E.2 bowed her head. 🕯
i do recall that being a first also.?
* i may be wrong, i am but a mere human 😉
🇦🇺✌🏻🇦🇺🕊🇦🇺
Looks like Diana broke so many traditions. She’s awesome.
She did exactly what Dianna would have wanted her to. She was protecting her young Grandchildren.
she was shielding and comforting those boys why half the british public was calling for her to show her face, shame on them !
Hindsight is 20/20. Now people know that the Queen was in fact mourning privately. I'm an American who loves the Queen and the working Royals.
🇺🇲❤🇬🇧👑
Hi,how're you.?
Nothing is gonna bring Diana back to life. It's not over for Di. She holds a special place in our hearts. It's just the beginning. Believe me, she will be more famous as Prince William become King, followed by Diana's grand children.
There are very few days in your life that you will remember so vividly, I am an American so I remember where I was when the space shuttle challenger blew up, I remember where I was during the 9/11 attacks, and I remember the moment I heard on my radio station that Princess Diana had died, and I thought to myself that’s a terrible joke. What a terrible prank to play. But it turned out to be absolutely true…. 💔
I think the Queen was forced into the speech she gave. In which case it's hardly sincere.
Who’s here after watching The Crown Season 6 Episode 4?
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth delivered this news with teary eyes😢
What a sad, sad day and year of 1997 - TRULY HORRIBLE!!
The Queen was busy caring for her family and the 2 boys and not doing what everyone wanted her to do. I imagine she’s never been one for spectacle
She was killed by them. The windsors are evil.
The first time HM really broke tradition by looking after Diana's boys & a lot of people can't understand why she didn't immediately return to London. Maybe someone should ask why Diana extended her holiday with Dodi leaving 'her boys' with the RF
they pressured her to give a speech lol
She had to be forced to behave human
Because she was too busy looking after Diana's sons? Diana had already delayed returning to London to stay on with Dodi - Tiggy arrived at Balmoral just after the RF returned from church that Sunday - Tiggy was to take the boys back to Diana
HMTQ Protected and looked after her two grieving grandsons in Scotland as priority
Her majesty, she's my queen, and she always will be.
I am an Arab, I loved Queen Elizabeth very much, she is really luxurious, she makes me feel that she is the source of Britain's strength, I love her ❤️❤️😭😭😭
I HOPE CHARLES AND CARMELA REMEMBER THIS DAY FOREVER.
It’s absolutely crazy to me, how people complain about how is Diana treated even tho they never knew Diana. They never met her, never really had an insight into her personality. People are so deceivable by persona. It’s insane.
So what are you trying to say that Diana not a good women
@@farwakhantanoli7512 Pretty sure hes saying that people are being judgmental about the Royal family's relationship with diana. People use Diana as a Martyr to voice their displeasure of the Royals.
she touches hearts even after all these years...
Not just a the country was grieving, the whole world was
I always thought the anger behind the lack of presence of the royal family was so immature yet natural. Everyone was expecting the stages of grief, and part of that is anger.
I do believe Her Majesty made the right call to be a grandmother for her grandsons who just lost an integral part of their life in such a devastating manner.
I wasn't even thought of when this happened. RIP Princess Diana, The Queen Mother, Princess Margaret, Prince Philip and HM Queen Elizabeth II. You will all be missed HEAVILY.
Weird flex but okay
⚜ God Save the Queen ⚜🕊
She knows as a queen, she must stay strong. She also bears a lot. Being a queen is not easy actually I think, ur personal family affair could not be personal, but she knows she’s a queen she must stay strong. May god bless the Queen
For the whole country and more.
CHARLES NEVER GRIEVED
She also bowed to Diana's coffin as it went by also, i presume at the funeral. She's not really meant to do that to anyone 'under' her but she did.
Guess we'll ignore that she's clearly reading...🥲
Diana changed the world. A Legend.
Rip Diana and Elizabeth 🙏 🕊 ☮
I genuinely feel she did what she thought was the best but it missed the mark
In the eyes of the public.
Very honest and fair assessment.
But she put those boys first! If she would have come out right away she would have been accused of making it about herself instead of Diana!
@@theoriginalkrabbypatty no disagreement here. It was a no win for anyone. Full stop.
Her eyes never wavered..she meant every word of it.
Diana was to good for the Royal Family
The queen ordered the hit we all know it
I reckon she didn’t know until after, hence the no response. It has Phillip written all over it.
The family didn't care about Diana, she only wanted to do this save her reputation.
Right? What was so extraordinary about this
@@mikegarcia597 Diana wasn't a royal anymore, meaning the royal family didn't have to say anything. Elizabeth broke the rules to put this speech up, do her funeral and even bowed at her coffin. Philip didn't care about Diana, that's it.
I be thinking I’m in the blood line 😂😂😂
Idk how much I would trust someone’s words when they’re pressured to do so
Crocodile tears from the queen here. She never liked Diana.
The first lesson that any public figure needs to learn is how to fake sincerity.
I'm a Dutchie, I will never forget coming downstairs that morning and my mom crying. I understood it was a great loss, later in life I learned how great she was. One of a kind.
The RF is another breed, there traditions and modernizing the monarchy hasn't been easy. I understand the coldness they have, but it truly was Diana who set the wheels in motion for that change, she is sorely missed and I do think they realize the impact and importance she had on them and the world. She watches over her family with the dearest of heart. May she soar with eagles and rest amongst the Angels. God bless her and keep her forever, hope her children find her there when it's their time. Work to be done ..
I remember my mother rang me and told me Princess Diana had passed away I remember feeling so numb in utter shock and disbelief, I turned the TV on it was true our beloved Princess Diana had passed away, I just cried my heart out, this was just so heart wrenching and tragic, she was so beautiful, still young and had so much life left to live. She is so dearly missed. God bless her.
R.I.P Princess Diana 🙏💕
I always find it bizarre as a nation a family suddenly lost a loved one I doubt they wanted to be on display and I am sure her grandchildren wanted to have time away before we paraded them around I don’t think she was silent I think she was grandmother in that week not our queen x
I was brought up in the English tradition of controlling your emotions. For me it was hugely unhealthy. Hugely.
I have been so grateful to the Maori people's of AotearoaNZ
Who take time to wail and tell stories....three days is usual. Much more like the Celtic peoples of Britain.

@@claire-christmas-august73 no can you introduce me to the concept
People were always complaining that the late HM was too duty bound - she really went into grandmother mode for the boys - then people complained that she should have left the boys & looked after them instead
I think history has been rightly kind to Queen Elizabeth in this moment. It was clearly a very personal, family situation and Diana had no always been very kind to the press regarding the royal family (including her former husband, after their divorce). I appreciate that she paused before acting in such a highly-charged situation.
I'm under the impression that she killed her. They didn't like her and wanted her gone.
@@cottage_pie exactly
@@cottage_pie Wrong. She loved Diana like her own daughter. Stop spreading lies.

Never forget this. RIP Diana.
She was really the queen of people's hearts
I completely understand the Queen's position on this. She did everything to maintain the Institution, which must always be bigger than the person in charge. She acted like this all her life and Diana could not be Queen, because she was bigger than the State itself. Two different things. The Queen was right about that. It is very risky when a Governor becomes more important than the State.
Come on now ... The true is that the queen didn't say a word for 1 week and she only react because the public has shown so much love for Diana and were so angry st the queen for keeping silence for so long.
thats the same thing i said!!
Exactly!!!!! She did it out of pure public pressure. People forget how cold hearted they all were with Diana so quickly...
Yeah - she should have told Charles & the boys to stuff it - & swanned off back to the bright lights of London
@@susanlockyer1192 No she shouldn't. Her first duty was the Charles and boys - of course it was. But... she should have made a brief "holding statement" tribute from Balmoral as soon as possible after the news broke. Either on TV or in writing. Acknowledge the fact that the nation is grieving for Diana, explain why she will be staying at Balmoral for a few days and promise a full speech when she and the princes return to Buckingham Palace later in the week. Total silence looked bad and uncaring. And then when she made the full speech, she should at least have *tried* to sound as if she meant it. ;-)
Yes she's a gifted person. the world loved her but the person she cherished always undermined her
I don’t get how they cry for someone they don’t even know
Was thinking the same. It's sad and all but I couldn't cry over people I didn't even know. Not even an acquaintance would set me off
I have always thought the same....
She had such a good heart and cared alot about people
Search for Diana and you will understand
Exactly - it's like crying for Elvis or James Dean or Marilyn Monroe
More people cried for her than the queen publicly
And in private life too.
