    the video is great. but there are two concerns in your video.
    1. never clean you chain by putting your engine in running condition.
    it will lead to fatal accidents.
    2. you are spraying the chain lube more than required which results in attracting more dirt.

    • @thesportztourer
      @thesportztourer  6 років тому +12

      Hi Prithviraj,
      Totally agree with your 2 points,
      I did rectify it in the separate video made for Dominar. I know sometimes I become too generous in showing my love towards bikes & tend to over spray 😁 one good thing about Motul C2 is that it doesn't attracts much dirt/dust as compared to others.
      Thanks a lot for taking time & puting down these inputs, it will be definitely useful to riders coming to the comment section for additional information 👍

      My chain gets tighten at a point...and becomes free when we rotate the wheel. And chain also making cutting noise..! I have lubricated every 500km ,chain slack is also as recommend.
      Any soultion for the tightness and cutting sound?

    As these chain lube and chain clean are quite expensive for regular use can you say a good, effective and cheap alternative for these products can we use kerosene, petrol or diesel and what can we use for lubing
    Please reply soon

  • @upsidedowndog1256
    @upsidedowndog1256 5 років тому

    The additives in diesel destroy some o ring chains. Use pure kerosene only on those. WD 40 is also good. When checking for freeplay check in several spots by rotating the wheel. Set at the tightest place found. Good video.

      I keep on experimenting with different chain lubes like TVS, Wurth, Motul, Waxpol, Rolon, OKS etc all of them work fine till the you are regular with chain maintenance. Some chain lubes like TVS, Rolon etc can be less sticky and spill around but that won't be a big compromise in terms of lubrication.

    Great channel and high quality content. Buy why do Indian youtubers always use annoying cringey music. Better to have no music. Look at foreign popular youtubers.

    Hey bro how often do you maintain your chain
    Like clean and lube
    Adjust the slack

    • @thesportztourer
      @thesportztourer  6 років тому

      Hi Ojan,
      A lot depends upon the surrounding condition. Cleaning and lubrication is more frequent in the rains. Have made a detailed video on it: ua-cam.com/video/-ntGmU0Q1Lo/v-deo.html
      P.S: Don't work on a running chain like in that video and be careful with your fingers.

    Hi my friend, can you help me?. I have a chain that gets tighter on one side of the rotation and loosen on the other.
    I do notice that it have a stiff link.. Could that be the reason?
    Thx Greetings from Chile

    • @thesportztourer
      @thesportztourer  5 років тому +1

      Hi,
      You have probably detected the issue with the stiff link 👍 I would also suggest you to check the sprocket condition where tooth wear can also be a reason behind the issue.
      It's a joy to read comments from riders across the sea! Happy riding 😊

    Diesel will damage the O-rings. I tried with diesel and the orings came off during summer highway ride. Use WD40 or Chain Clean or Kerosene.

    • @ketankadam5669
      @ketankadam5669 5 років тому

      Diesel is recommended in many user manuals, so it's completely safe. Petrol is not safe, wd can be used but it's good for a rusty chain.
