Im an old guy who has played games since Atari, This game is brilliant. It's not just about the history, but the director, actors' performance, sound design... People who ask for more action are not able to engage deeply with the proposed experience... We are in a generation of short videos high dopamine.... Keep reading books and watching non-hollywood movies, kids.
I came here hoping to find more conversation about the game. Just finished it in one sitting, because I had to know what was next! It was a great experience. Really groundbreaking gameplay. This game is proof that video games can be so much more and do so much more than other mediums. This felt more like art but still had such satisfying gameplay. I loved the combat sequences and how the voices played into gameplay. Really didn't feel like I was alone and helped me pull through the Sea of Corpses without dying. So intense! Also, its not like listening to a short video on whats it's like to hear voices. They're treated like characters. They often occupy the same area from where you hear them. Having them help and encourage you one moment and belittle you the next, and laughing at you. It must be so tiring to the people who experience theses things. 1:52:30 Probably my favorite part of the game is from here to the trials of Odin, going to the different worlds and experiencing something new to overcome in each one. Mainly because of the line given beforehand, "if you except that Senua's reality is twisted, you must accept that yours might be too." 2:11:10 is the start of the trials Which sums up a portion of what this game is trying to do. Bring awareness and compassion to those with psychosis. It shows things that people have experienced as reality, and the impact having hope can have, like she found in Dillion. Having someone to help you through it. "You just needed a little help, a little hope."
I couldn't agree more with everything you are saying here. The game had a way of making you feel like you truly were going insane. The combat was very satisfying. I got the feeling of God of War, but much more emotional than that. I can't wait for the sequel. This game is hugely underrated.
Great game movie! Thanks, i really love hellblade and it was an amazing experience coming back to that game on a new platform. For those who are using the game movie to chase against the lorestones and/or is playing for the first time, just keep 3 things in mind: 1. To see if your progress with the lorestones is correct, you can simply listen to the story and see if you are on the same part of the video, it doesnt matter in wich order you read the lorestones, if you read the same quantity as the gameplay on the video, the part of the tale being narrated will be the same, this can be your guide. 2. Fenrir (or Gamr) can only be actually damaged when senua is focused, you can approach the fight like in the video if you want, but you can also keep dodging till your focus is charged and them focus and hit him, its up to you. 3. If the lorestone on 4:06:18 is missing for you like it was for me at first, its on the little entrance on the right side of the iron gate on the bridge (the one Senua sees when you are about to fix the final bridge, the last one is on the top of the stairs you see just after lorestone #42, you should go on the floor under it to fix the bridge anyways.
without music.. it is no the same in many parts. And most importantly, the game uses binaural audio.. so the voices are really "all around you", portraying even better the tortured mind (with some small tactical advantage that "behind you" really hear behind you, so you know immediately where the danger is). .
Yea you are right. I can't capture the binaural audio with my device. And youtube music copyrights make it hard to include it. I didnthe best I could and would have added music in....but couldn't find anything that gave the same feel.
@@jamescpapg don’t worry preloading is absolutely useless, I had it "preloaded" and now on release day it needs a 41GB update 😅 But it’s finally here 👍
Holy crap the whole "whisper in your ear" shit got old after minute 1 ! It's also in such a sharp pitch at times that i had to lower the volume all the way!!! Skipped ahead and YEP! It persists throughout the whole thing... Quick close from me. Respect to you . Cannot imagine playing 4 plus hours of a game with such obnoxious constant yapping...
So here is the thing, I started recording it, it was super buggy, so I halted my playthrough, hoping CD Projekt RED would patch it. Because if I am not careful about that stuff, you get one shot to record and if it messes up a scene I can't go back without having to play the game all over again. So I made the call to stop early in the campaign. If the game is stable and fixed, I will jump back to it.....but it makes me nervous if they haven't patched it enough.
thanks. honestly tired of dealing with the copyright stuff. I spend so much time recording and editing to then have it claimed via copyright and I can't monetize it. It also protects me from getting copyright strikes...which is the main reason.
its a game of parkour and action where the story im not gonna say too much so it will not spoil the game its about you running and killing prison guards while a voice commands you and you have to recsue him thats it. i hope it will be fun for you :)

What is your progress of cyberpunk? I am waiting for it.

Amazing How about UNCHARTED 4 bro?
Thanks! I did Uncharted 4 when it first released. Just look through my video library, I also have an Uncharted playlist that has all the games in it.
Lol haha😅
I tried, but 30 mins in I found this Game boring. Glad others enjoyed it though.
I thought it was decent, I will definitely play the sequel.
34 min in and i nodded off 4 times
Whoa
👍👍👏
😍😍😍😍
One question. Is Senua good or evil?
Good, in my opinion. She is looking for her love.
💙
Really great set up. But why turn of the soundtracks?? They are great :/ A piece if the imersion feels lost without it
