I know this video is old but still. For those wondering. The evo at 4:34 is put there and not at the back of the base because it helps very well against a 12 pool baneling all in. So that the banes have to go further around the evo to get to the drones. Whereas if it was at the very corner in that same situation his workers would need to split and the evo could actually block splitting. And also if an overlord/ling could get in to scout that evo it would scout it even if the evo was at the corner of the base so there is no pros of putting it in the corner vs in between hatch and minerals.

It would be interesting to see if Serral clicked on the queens/roaches early, which would have revealed the early +1 upgrade (the pull of overlords suggests that he didn't).
