Ppl didnt really like this movie but I love it because you can see thw mental stress tony is now under and can see how much he’s changed since iron man 1 hes a completely different man than he was back then
This movie also confirm what happened in Iron Man 2, the suit his friend stole was coded for him or for anyone, but any other suit is Tony only....So Tony let him steal the suit as he could have put same block/lock in the silver/chrome suit too
When Tony fled the restaurant, that "anxiety attack" he was experiencing was PTSD. I know that feeling all too well.
Explanation: Roxxon is the generic evil corporation in the Marvel Universe. If a writer needs a corporation to do something awful to drive a plot point, Roxxon is usually the corporation that does it.
When Tony was getting his suit back then the music kicks in always gives me goosebumps. I honestly prefer this movie over the 2nd one

A lot of people complained about this interpretation of the Mandarin.
As someone who is half-Asian, I loved this take on the Mandarin.
You see, the original comic book character was straight "yellow peril" anti-Asian racism, so anything that was different from the comic book character was a good thing as far as I'm concerned.
This was simply hilarious, and as sir Kingsley is half-Indian (don't quote me on that), I believe Trevor is technically the first Asian character in the MCU.
There is a short film titled "All Hail the King" or something like that, which you should check out. Basically, the real Mandarin (who you will meet in the Shang Chi movie) was not at all happy that someone was pretending to be him.
okay but current comic mandarin is still a major villain in iron man's story a serious threat. In this movie he is legit joke till the end, it doesn't help the he was killed in the same movie he appeared. Still loved iron man 3 tho

Dr. Yinsen was in the first Iron Man movie.
Hogun the Grim was one of the Warriors Three in Thor.
One of the Howling Commandos from Captain America: The First Avenger was Asian (I don't remember his name, and granted, he's a pretty minor character.)

Little kid that helped out Tony Is significant in marvel comic books But they don't really talk about How much in the marvel movies but you will see him later as a grown up teenager

As a person who gone through the mental health issues... This movie was so relatable to me.. People didn't liked it because they don't want their superheroes going through mental health issues.. They are Invincibles right? But Tony's character proved that wrong. Even though you are not a super serum taker or a god you go through the things like you get scared for someone who is your own.. you got anxiety issues, You knew that all you have is your intelligence and nothing else. You are not a super soldier or Hulk or something.. I really liked that movie.. .

I always find it strange that USA, the only superpower in the world, have powerlines in the air like third world countries....why not dig them down like other 1st world countries? Haviung them exposed like that? something hit a poll or there is an accident and you have high powerlines among the people

It's a great movie! I have watched them back to back, and I got to tell you I really couldn't pick a favorite between 3 and 1, but Ironman is amazing. I never understood why people didn't like number 3 especially if they tolerated ironman 2

What if…? In an alternate continuity that will affect the MCU…
Ben Kingsley is the real Mandarin - reimagined by myself as a Hindu Singaporean militarism extremist who has been the main orchestrator of the entire Iron Man trilogy, sporting the same attire, hairdo, beard and even having a dragon tattoo from left clavicle, around and down to the right back hip of his chiselled muscular physique that lights up when super Saiyan’d up - and the characters Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) and Xu Wenwu (Tony Leong) from Shang-Chi were his protégés - next in line to adopt the mantle to further spread his iron plague - similar to Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Bin Laden, Jinping, Putin etc
And to further extent, similar to Heath Ledger’s Joker, have him stand out as force of nature, never to be reckoned with. His past his unknown (real name) and he considers himself as a true civil servant (mandarin).
That is what the MCU could’ve ended up with.
Imagine the Kingsley Mandarin working with Thanos (Josh Brolin)!!! Those two have similar agendas/mindsets - imagine all of the chaos and carnage throughout the infinite world…and other multiverses…
P.S. reason why Kinglsey’s Mandarin would sound American while speaking English in contrast to sounding Asian when speaking his native Singaporean, Mongolian and/or Chinese he might’ve learned it from some radical far-right extremist from America who can also speak Asian languages

Also just kinda random iron man fact. He is a trained martial artist. And about the suit it only ways about 25 pounds. Its heavy to be a pain but no reason he cant cart it thru whatever
He was trained by black widow Cap shang chi and iron fist if I remember correctly but he regularly spars with the best martial artist marvel has to offer.
If you go back and look at all of iron Man movie it will actually pepper is the one who beat all of his villains and I didn't include whiplash because iron Man beat him earlier in the second film and if it wasn't for Justin Hammer given whiplash the materials and tech he needed to create his drone army whiplash wouldn't been able to come back later. So Justin Hammer is the actual main villain of iron Man 2 movie.
Note to self. Do not dox yourself like Tony Stark.

This movie is all about PTSD.
Tony didn't just have PTSD from what happened in the Avengers, but also from the first Iron Man movie. He never entirely gets over it. These various traumas build up and drive the decisions he makes.

Am I wrong? Compared to the rest of mcu this movie seems so out of place, kinda random / weird, it shows tony & the growing trauma he has (prob the best /most important part of the movie but) iron man 3 is easily one of my least fav movies in the mcu. Any moment w tony, pepper or happy is a blessing tho
