In world news now and Brexit news today, the Theresa May resignation (Brexit related) is set to happen today June 7. We recently saw the Theresa May resignation speech signaling to the UK and the world that the conservative leader would be stepping down.
Theresa May resigned from office on a bitter note ,her tenure dominated by what was largely regarded as failure after failure in the drama of one of the most divisive, confusing, and heavily-covered news events of the past couple years: the country’s impending exit from the European Union.
In the years since the Brexit vote, May has negotiated with parliament and the EU in an effort to arrange a deal that both sides would agree on. Resultantly, every deal she’s attempted to pass has failed.
In March 2019, she even offered to resign if the latest version of her deal passed. It didn’t.
It’s also worth noting that not long after the Brexit vote, she became the first world leader to meet with U.S. President Trump after his inauguration, and despite hopes of a U.S. - UK trade deal that would offset the losses of leaving the EU - she didn’t really establish a rapport with Trump.

Reality is she took a job no one wanted. She was set to “fail” from the very beginning. Anyone in her position would have met the same fait because parliament handicapped her every step of the way. I’m glad this video does a fair look on her legacy
Her legacy?.., turning the words strong and stable into weak and wobbly?
Yes good point. It was a very uphill battle from the start and sadly I think many in the Torries knew that her tenure would be short
Well, no. She inherited from her predecessor a narrow majority of seats in the House of Commons, then she called an election that she could've easily won with a much increased majority, and then she threw it away with poor decisions. If she hadn't bungled the 2017 election, she would've had a Parliament with way more MPs supporting her agenda. She wasn't a victim of circumstances. She was a victim of her own poor judgment.
Also, plenty of people wanted the job, not "no one."
Oxfordshire is a county, I've never heard anyone call it a district.
The Americanisation of everything is getting out of hand.
@@tomwright4969 The Britishization of the past got out of hand. Admit defeat. Britain is no longer as powerful as she once was. She died with colonialism in the 1900s.
Well, this is for non-UK viewers. You kinda cracked the case.
You're right
I'm a simple man...
I see Tigo Bitties and I click.
This deserves 1,000 likes 😂
LMFAO
The video failed to give a balanced view on May's time as PM. There is no mention of Grenfell or Windrush, increase in poverty and homelessness etc etc.
I hear you but that would have happened under any conservative PM, this vid purely focused on her unique failures and successes.
I'd say 10% of the views were generated by the topic of the video, and the other 90%... well you know why you came here
🕵 good eyes
So true, weak we are...
Yeah It was an informative video but... yeah
Yes. And, yes.
Bewbs
I feel bad for her . but she had all the odds against her 😔
Can you please make video about the rise and fall of Najib Razak. Malaysia's most controversial prime minister.
David Cameron has a lot to answer to for this.
As soon as we voted exit he bottled it and disappeared
He’s the one that let us all down and scurried off
Didn't he say he did not agree with Brexit and therefore would not be the one to negotiate an exit? If he was pro Brexit and then left I could see that he let you down but he wasn't.
Don't Bet on It
He was our prime minister at that time don’t forget!
He got a result that he didn’t want and in my eyes he clearly slopped off
He’s made a couple of comments backing May but honestly truthfully can you say he’s?????
Pan-European Soviet Marxist-Leninist
But also mrs may was remain and vocal about it aswell
Cameron was our prime minister and he should have gone with the result whatever the outcome
He obviously new it was a tough battle ahead but in my opinion ran away
Ask yourself this, knowing what we now know about the E.U. Would you join in or out that’s the question???
Cameron was a remain supporter that’s why he left.
you forgot to mention she triggered a snap election in 2017 due to favourable polls but lost her majority, which is why she never got her Brexit deal passed.
May did everything she coukd to stop Brexit her plan was to stay.
You should have played in full what Owen Jones said at the end, he summed up the stark reality of life for the disadvantaged and poor under the conservatives, 10 thousand disabled people dead for starters...
I'm going cross-eyed :/
There are honestly not that many comments about how hot the narrator is.
I'm a bit proud of you guys.
Im literally only here cuz of the clickbait shirt.
🖖
@@Makaveli3k. her shirt. Her plain gray crew neck sweater-shirt? Jesus christ what isnt clickbait to you?
@@cg1906 she has a rather... Not small.... Y'know ..
Click bait I want to see more giant canons!!
If you listen carefully she’s saying something about mrs May I think 🤔
I’m so woke now on recent UK history.
I don't even care about Teresa May.
Alex janin is hot!
You can’t expect much from the comment section if your thumbnail is sexualized clickbait. I mean that’s the only reason I came here.
It was a pretty informing video, though.
I'm an American it just seems crazy that she won the Prime Minister roll be her opponent dropping out. Was there only one opponent? I was under the impression every party puts forth a potential like Lord Buckethead.
But, man Idk how I would have dealt with it either. I don't support it but I must do the will of the people. Must be a terrible position to be in. I would have pushed for referendum instead of any deals. because the majority of UK's voters didn't even vote, correct?
You cant revote when things go bad like if they revote now. Then why not revote in future it will set chain of revote all over. The only things she can do is brexit then after some years refendum again. To join in or not.
Her opponents for the role of Prime Minister were squabbling and backstabbing each other - Theresa May looked sensible and mature by contrast.
So she easily got the position of Prime Minister as her rivals had ruined themselves by what was seen as clumsy attempts to became leader.
Oh I'm here for Theresa May for sure. 100%
Them tiddies tho
Who? ;)
Ol’ alex is packing some serious sweater pups. Nice!
taylights lighten up francis.
Muhfuggaz watching this video like “Theresa Who?”
Gray Cashmere... Nice...
*Unique dance moves* - _MAYBOT_
I enjoy Alex Janin, the woman with blonde hair, sharing the story of how Thresea May became prime minister than the prime minister herself.
That’s some good milk
Lol yup
Good Lord Almighty! Those are amazing!
Both will go down in history.
Good stuff, very well researched and presented. Thank you.
You wrongly wrote "devisive" instead of "divisive" at 7:46.
Big ole udders
What's with the square video?
This video wouldn't be as good if there was a podium in the way
I think people are way too quick to judge her. She didn't have a chance to really do anything but get Brexit sorted.
Tenha fé mulher ... E não se esqueça, tenha fé e continue trabalhando.
Alex Janin gorgeous and talented.
Got Milk?
Then again she climbed the throne while it was in a burning stage.
Nice sweater meats
I would not say it was much of a rise. She took over after Cameron stepped down and went downhill after that.
The rise?.., ffs give yourself a shake!
@@sierraromeoromeo2444 She was always pro EU and it showed in the end, the UK had a referendum and if she was any kind of leader she would have done it regardless of the consequences, its what the people voted for!
There would be a lot more "rises" if she did..... ;)
She showed spineless cowardice and was willing to sellout just for power.
I have absolutely no interest in British politics. Then why did I click on this video? Some mysteries shall never be solved.
Nice obituary.
I have only seen fall and fall of Theresa May
Breakxit means food in the morning
In a democracy, everone eligle voter should choose prime ministers, not members of only one party.
That sweater though....
Let's hope she made the right choice
Rosie needs to whiten her teeth.
Alex janin . Okay. I am out.
Terrible research, no mention of windrush. Loose a sub!
I came to see if this would be mentioned. Didn't have much hope when I saw the presenter and biographer
@@jackieandrea why Jackie, because she is an attractive big breasted woman?
If you give people a chance in a Democracy? Her sentence composition sound like Trump.
She was never great!
Like your Trump ?
Whatever America wants
Now Sajid Javid has gained some traction after Johnson's £39 billion dollar EU payment issue..Let us see if what happens next😉😉
Anyone else clock Anne Widdicombe's bowl haircut in the 90s clip?! As vile then and she is now
Pigs.
The presenter is hot as FK! Who is she?
BOOOOO! BOOOOO!
What happens when your genital serves as a better legitimacy than your competency
Albert Sutanto She is the longest serving Home Secretary in British history and was in the shadow cabinet. Her competence wasn’t so much issue, it’s the direction she inherited from David Cameron.
Nice.............very nice...........🧐👍🏽
🇬🇧🔚🔚🔚
She played the child card in that speech of resignation ...cliche ...Ug!
