Despereaux as a character is just utter proof that having morals, a code of honor, and being noble is something that's not always fashionable, but will ALWAYS be needed. We need to remind people that this kind of storytelling rocks.
I love Tale of Despereaux. An underrated movie. Despereaux is a likable character because he’s noble, heroic, honorable, gentlemanly, brave, and of course he’s knightly. He has his flaws which is being a small mouse instead of a tall handsome knight, not to mention he gets scared and his valuable in the dungeon but thanks to Roscuro saving him Despereaux is able to save the day at the end and become a true knight. Just my opinion.
This was my childhood film, and I just watched it again days ago. Desperaux is so badass to not be like every other mouse. Plus, using his big ears for gliding is such a bonus 😊
This movie is extremely underrated and I remember seeing this in theaters. Fun fact: the voice of the title character’s Mom also voiced the director of the Institute from Nimona.
sub for part 2

one of the best movies no cap
I agree, this is one of my favorite childhood movies
@@justrandoom9025 Agree. It’s my favorite movie about talking mice and knights.
@@justrandoom9025 Mine too. My favorite movie about talking mice and one of my favorite movies about knights.
@@justrandoom9025 Honestly, more people should be like Despereaux. He’s much more chivalrous and knightly than the actual knights in the movie.
This movie is a fever dream
and a good one at that

yessir, it’s truly an underrated gem of a film
This film may has it's flaws but it holds a very special place in my heart.
lmao the other mice in the back being like: 'Don't look, don't look' 'I won't' at 0:43

This movie and other mouse based stories is the reason I was obsessed with Thea Stilton stories, and more books about the mouses.

He's one of the cutest mouse characters alongside Mickey Mouse, Miss Bianca, and Bridget from An American Tail.
I remember, I watched this so much, I actually ruined the dvd.

We watched this in library class after reading the desperaux book and we had to turn it off like 3 minutes in😭😭🙏
