Very informative, great boats and I'm sure once you get used to it they are equally good. That drone footage is amazing, needles looks very tropical and exotic 👌
Thanks for this comparison. I am guessing that the added rudder length is not quite as significant in terms of amount of rudder in the water when you take into account that the new rudder mount is substantially higher with the new version. Does the clearance for the rudder mounts in shallows or relative sturdiness of the different style rudder mounts amount to anything important?
Hi Paul Its a valid point but yes, there is still more blade in the water. At a guess I'd say by 3 inches or so. The difference is definitely noticeable with a stiff crosswind. I put a link to a relevant video at the end where around 30 knot wind from the side made it a challenge to hold a straight line until building a speed up.
The small fwd day hatch is optional on both versions hence no mention. Mine is the V2 and I fitted the fwd hatch myself. Since this video Duncan has also fitted one to his V1. Thanks for watching the video and taking time to comment. The one is out tomorrow. Darren
Hey guys another question about the Valkyrie 😂 I recently had a chance to try one out and have purchased one, the one I tried however the rudder pedals felt extremely stiff, almost having to use the full strength of my legs to move it. Seemed very strange as the smart track pedals seem set up to be easily manipulated with your toes only. I'm wondering if the guy had his rudder setup wrong or they are just stiff like that? Is there anyway to adjust tension in the rudder lines? any info would be amazing as I can't find anything on it. Appreciate it cheers!!
Hey mate. That doesn't sound ideal.. I haven't done anything non standard with mine and it works as it should with just a light touch from the toes only. I do make sure to wash the control lines through with water forced down the tubes with the hose to wash out any salt in the lines. Maybe even a little bit of dish washing soap to help if its not been done in a while.
Haha... Nice try sir! 🤣 I only have the one, the v2. The v1 here is Mate Duncan's. It was a Gumtree song.. if he hadn't grabbed it I was going to adopt it to make sure it had a good home.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video - we're sure plenty will find this useful!
The pleasure is mine! Thanks for taking the time to view and comment. You will see a lot more PandH content yet to come here... Do keep an eye out 👀

The needles didn't feel very tropical last week...
But yes, its always a worthy trip to the needles..
I have the V1 and absolutly love it. I recently installed a longer rudder(finn only), now its even better. Shout out from Denmark.
Excellent to hear. Yes, the rudder length is the biggest difference and a worthwhile upgrade.
My Valkyrie is still my favourite toy 👍

I do like the decklines of the V1. The V2 reminds me of the Virgo
I've not played with a Virgo.. but maybe I should make a point of doing that now.. haha..
Any excuse is a good one 👍
Plus newer one has small front hatch. Obvious but still wonder why no mention of it.

@@GoneKayaking I just went to P&H web page after I posted that. I then saw that It was optional. Thanks,.
Wow. That’s how I know I have the V2 version :)
Excellent. I'm glad it helps 👍.

@@GoneKayaking Yeah I had a feeling something was up with his, good to know it's not standard. Cheers mate will let him know.
Great - so you'll be selling me your old one for a song!!
