@@officialxverzusz I just recently went to see gojira in Glasgow and I guarantee you they are wayyy better than rammstein the energy and aggression they put out was next level
Hello, Gojira is still and always was as you described 6 years ago, but please, also check "Be'lakor - Sun's Delusion live" and check this live vocal quality (if you know the original studio song it's even more stunning)
Old-school Gojira... they are still amazing as ever but their older material is badass man. They come up with some of the most amazing riffs and tightest break downs. Mario is an awesome drummer one of the best out there.
DreamPurpleFloyd maybe theyre one of Gojiras influences?? Even if they are I highly doubt Gojira would go out of their way to rip off Morbid Angel lol. Either way IMO I think Gojira is a pretty original band. Ill check it out though. I know Morbid Angel and the only album I ever heard was Covenant.
enthrallingusername maybe theyre one of Gojiras influences?? Even if they are I highly doubt Gojira would go out of their way to rip off Morbid Angel lol. Either way IMO I think Gojira is a pretty original band.
Honestly, this is probably my favorite live performance of Gojira. Every element is so perfect, and Joe's vocals are absolutely above and beyond. Way better than the original song in my opinion.
One the best bands in the fucking world. The first brutal band I really discovered as a kid. Found their stuff on limewire while browsing in the Death Metal genre. Just the name had me hooked. Heard "Flying Whales" and there was no turning back. Later some songs from "Link" were posted, needless to say, I thought FMTS was heavy, (which it is) but this was Fucking insane!!! They are so precise and technical when playing live, unbelievable. I also love how they played "Connected", transitioning into the song. And the crowd!!! Why do the fucking crowds here in the US never get down like this? You are in the presence of some of the best fucking music you'll ever hear, fuck shit up!!! I really need to go to Europe... those motherfuckers are CRAZY!
Indeed we are in this kind of concert! At a Gojira show in a venue named Olympia, a huge guy fell on me and made me fall on the ground while we were all jumping. The guy helped me getting up, smiling, hug me…and we got back jumping alltogether, this is how it goes here! Respect from a french metalhead!🤘🏻
Its weird, I'm watching Gojira from New to Old and it's fucking insane. Like, the other guitarist shows actual emotion in this video, the bassist is losing his absolute shit and Mario had a shirt. Its like nothing makes sense

"Bordeaux!" love this band so much and this very specific performance is so unreal. Thank you so much Gojira. Was so happy to catch you in our native Gascon/Basque country two years ago. What a performance and what a sound engineer.
3:42...that moment when your fucking jaw just drops, your balls swell until painful proportions in your jeans, your face melts and your mind explodes into blissful, orgasmic, sonic oneness with the universe...
haha yeah that's what's great with gojira starting from death metal and evolved through time , each albums having a different flavor while retaining their style
Back when Mario had a shirt
The USA have Matt Pike, in France we have Mario Duplantier
The shirt only held him back
And the bassist had hair
@@seanr1647 the hair only held him back
good one ;)
Mario was only 22 when this was recorded. Fuck.
+Evan S He was 21 at that time
He began at 15 to play with the band :-)
I envy the fact..aww man
That’s not young at all there are drummers that can play at that level 10 years younger then him
^ That CAN PLAY*, but rarely can compose.
I love the fact that the fans were allowed to jump on stage... how it should be in a perfect world
Yeah, rip Dime
Always like that in small venues in France 🤷♂️
When Dimebag died that started to change :/

Agreed.
Super underrated comment 🤣
Is it that crazy to get into a band and go into the old parts of their discography🤯🤯🤯
But I'd found you)
All gojira stuff is incredible
I love how they’re not even moving in the beginning. Just statues delivering heavy riffs. Badass
The bass player is underrated imo
Any bass player who can handle Mario's explosive drumming is a great bassist in my opinion.
Gotta love the energy he brings to their shows!
Most of the time, bass players have a crucial role behind the scenes, during the writing process
Not true 😂
Some people don't like metal. Some people will never get to know this stuff. This is fucking sad.
I'm in love with the outro. Gives me that special "deliverance"-vibe.
Mars Topia I fucking love the song deliverance by opeth
i think he's talking about the song deliverance by gojira
I said exactly the same thing, for those wondering what we're on about; check out opeth-deliverance - forward to about the 9 minute mark

This is the highest quality metal performance ive seen in a while. They playing is so tight, sound is incredible, and they murder that breakdown
