It’s a perfect movie for a real hip hop head. Every one I see bashing this film have no where near hip hop fans at all. Y’all are looking for a Lego story while we are looking for the clipes story in Lego form. This is a huge step for hip hop it has a lot of people mad
Oh yeah, for sure. As I say at the start of the review, I think a movie like this will definitely land differently with those who love the music and the artists who pop up in the story then it will with general audience that have the previous "Lego movies" as their reference or exception. I'm just not sure how many older hip hop fans will be interested in a Lego documentary,. Good or bad, it just doesn't seem like a movie that will land in the sweet spot for any particular audience (and the modest box office seems to suggest this too). But I'm glad there are people who are enjoying it.
