Spent a week skiing all over Feathertop in 1981 with my mate Chris Hilton Wood. We hiked in from Hotham, no skins, just 205 downhill skis. Stayed in the old Federation Hut. The entire time we were there we saw no -one, the mountain was trackless. Had a super 8 camera with me, but did not get much footage. thank you for bringing back such amazing memories. Well done!
Been waiting a while for a video that shows Mt Feathertop's challenge for skiers/boarders, great work. The next destination would be that long flat-topped mountain in the distance at the end- Bogong, and it's dozens of double black diamond gullies 😁
Hi Ben This is great and inspiring! Are you based in Vic? I'm super fresh to back country skiing and would love to connect. Would love to have a yarn. Let me know of your keen. Vince

When I was a boy, Dad & I hiked, & also skied, from Hotham to Feathertop on many occasions. My parents were the best.
I felt nervous just watching him skiing Avalanche Gully with the sound of ice - fck that! You slip you're cactus.
