- Russia is reportedly set to establish total control over Kharkiv & Odesa amid a mega blitzkrieg. Russian diplomat made a big claim about panic among western nations over Moscow's win. "Embassies In Kyiv Are Asking Citizens To Leave Kharkiv, Odesa," said Konstantin Gavrilov, head of Russian Delegation to the Vienna negotiations on military security and arms control. He said that Russia’s victory will be achieved in an obvious way, as this can happen any time.

In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time.

Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. No one should be surprised, this was inevitable. Ukraine just doesn'thave enough soldiers, especially for the offensive tactics they decided to use against a well-entrenched and supplied enemy on the battlefield. Its amazing the Western intel didn't see this outcome months or a year ago, it was so obvious after the defeats at Mariupol and Bakhmut.
You'll know the end is near when the Ukrainian military deposes Zelensky and seeks a peace settlement. But the Russians will not be so easy to negotiate with now, since they are so close to achieving their ultimate objective, which is to provide themselves with a buffer zone in the Eastern third of Ukraine, defined by a line connecting Kharkiv with Odessa. And the leadership of the Ukrainian military still may have ulterior motives to keep the war effort going, such as incentives from the West. Perhaps their minds will change when the Russians threaten to take Kiev after securing the third of the country they want as a buffer zone against NATO missiles and rockets.
It wil be appropriate that a ridiculous war that never should have happened will have a ridiculous ending. I can't wait to see the finger-pointing among NATO leaders in the aftermath of their losing this war that they never should have started. It will be interesting to see the German reaction when Russia tells them that there is no further need for the Nordstrom pipeline, and the Germans will have to continue paying price for energy that are killing their economy.

It is Russia's failure that there was not a single air-defence system protecting it's refineries. The drones were visible with naked eyes, even a simple MANPAD or short-range air-defence complex would have done the job. I think it's time to look inward and fix these shortcomings before it gets worse.
