The Pink Old lady's granddaughter is the first sacrifice that's why she placed flowers at the entrance and then Maina's the second. Erena will be the third that's why the spirit was set free in the bad ending. The yokai Ubume is about a spirit of a woman that died during childbirth or while pregnant. It has connection with the doll you threw in the trash. It's actually an interesting concept but for me didn't get presented well by Chilla's art.

They imprisoned him in the basement but cory freed him, and so he burned the bathhouse down with the priest and landlord inside.
I have a feeling that the wanted man was the first woman's son that the monk failed to kill.
