I love these Julie. They are all so pretty. Everything you make is pretty!! I know what you mean about the glue. I live in Queensland Australia on the Sunshine Coast and it is very humid in February/March. So I have to change the glue I use during those months, as it doesn't work the same as when its cooler or warm but not humid, if you know what I mean. Thanks for sharing these notebooks Julie. I will be making a heap of them with my 6x6 papers. 🥰💓💌
Thanks Sophie love 😊 Exactly, one glue doesn't work all year does it. I like Yes paste for collage, but only in summer or it's too solid here as I'm very frugal with heating in winter 😘🤗💜
Greetings again from Alaska 😊 I've seen some people using small metal washers on one side of whatever it is they are needing a magnet to connect to...thus saving you from having to use 2 magnets. I'm going to try it ❤
Oh thank goodness, got my Julie fix. Man oh man, I was strolling through looking for something to make me feel a bit less blah AND your video popped up, thank you Lord. These turned out cute as a dickins. I love your mansplaining term, I have to do it all the time. Thank you so much for coming on here and sharing your talents with us Julie. I so look forward to your videos. Can't wait for the next one. 😊😊💖💖🙏🙏
Hi Julie. I love watching you work. Love your talent and chatter. You are a talented artist. I have been watching you for a long time now. I don’t always like and comment on videos that I enjoy but have just learned that the channels that I love don’t benefit from this. I will show my support by fixing this. Have a lovely day. It is beautiful in Nova Scotia-Canada today.
Hi Julie. These notebooks are so very cute and I plan on making many of them to have on stand-by for various journal projects. Thank you so much. Love your creativity. 🦋🦋🦋
It’s so heartwarming to see you’re still making videos. I just love your attitude along with your terms, bits and bobs, crack on, weeee( the magnets are worth the “weeee!” God bless you, So happy to be here again…… hopefully I will be able to get back into journal making again. 🤗💜
Hello from Kentucky USA! Love these little books ! I'm home ILL with Covid, bored out of my mind! I realy think I can whip out a bunch of these and use up the ton of scraps I've got, And use up the pesky 6×6's that seem like a good idea when you buy them, but never get used ! Lol I love watching your videos you have some terrific ideas! Have a Blessed day!
Love these. Very cute and functional ❤. We have missed you but we will be here when you are. You definitely need to do family first. Thanks for the video and good luck with the electrician.
Lovely make Julie. So good to hear your voice again. Was sorry about your lighting issue but I do like the new one. Hoping life settles for you and the girls. Love you all.
Thanks Diane love 😊 it was a case of ooooo I can buy the new lights I've been wanting now without feeling wasteful😘 should be able to film at night too now, do a win win🤗💜
Shouting at you to round that final corner on the last notebook! Gorgeous little notebooks, the bonus one is my firm favourite. Thank you love these and will definitely trying these out
Julie, you're fun to hear and watch. I'm doing great, my eyes are healing and I can see really good. Just need a reader to see print. Still putting eye drops in until the end of the month. Thanks love for your prayers..this project is so cute. I watch a little and then rest my eyes. Thanks love for sharing this with us. See you soon. 🤗🤗😍💜💜
"Weeeee!" 🤣 Oh you make me giggle. It's 2am US 🇺🇸 time. Insomnia..."weee". I agree with the 'hoarding'. Oh my word I have so much stuff. I used to work at the craft store Michaels in three different states, weeee 😂😂. Ta da! Thanks for a good giggle. Appreciate you sharing your amazing skills and laughs. 👏😊
These are so great, Julie! Good to see you-- you are missed, but understandably, family comes first 🩵 A woman after my own heart, the way you stood up to the man 'splanin' electrician! 😆 You Rock, Woman!!
Cheers Mrs, 😁 the age of him was the most insulting part😅 if he comes back I'll tell him to make it quick as we don't have nappy/diaper changing facilities😘🤗💜
Love this! I had to stop what I was doing and craft along so I could be sure to capture this one. Youʻre so right - it makes ugly 6x6 paper look quite nice, and it uses up those offcut scraps of paper. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks Lani love🤗 they really do don't they. You could say I got the idea from the cover of the paper pad. They looked so nice when I bought them and could only see a snippet of each design🤗💜
Love you and how you communicate - so relaxed and funny. My 2 are neuro diverse as well, doing well at uni, and one is a computer whizz - who wudda thought! Blessings Helen [retired florist from NZ]
These are great Julie!! I can always count on laughing while watching your videos… my craft room is such a mess and my husband has been telling me since Christmas he was gonna build me shelves above my desk…still not done…anyway I will give these cute little booklets a try!! Thank you for the idea and for the laughs!!!!❤
Yes, these are brilliant, Julie! I love them. You are so creative. Good luck with the electrical guy. Lord have mercy if anyone ever had to set foot in my craft room. We even had one kitty who used to come half way in and then back out!! 😂I would tell her that she was overreacting.
Good morning, Julie. I love these little notebooks! You are amazing. You come up with the cutest things. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us!
Fun idea! You can do a bottom one using a 12” long strip and fold both ends to make the top flaps with magnets under top flaps & non-directional paper though. Or bound-in “center of the journal” one with notepads on both pages by using a 6x6 folded in half like your side one. No magnets needed. 😊 Center method is harder to replace papers though but good for permanent journaling, photos, quotes, etc. String ties on flaps enable paper replacement but would be a bit fiddly. I’m with the one commenter, i don’t ink edges and am not into grunge so I appreciate when inking is finished off camera. I also don’t like to use images older than my lifetime. I enjoy junk journal crafters as well as other creators even if i don’t do their crafts. I have yet to junk journal but have amassed the materials to do it. One of these days! Thanks for all you do and i love your accent!
Good morning Julie, I love how you are making these pretty pieces with scraps 😊. I also love that you created this beautiful journal with the County Diary of an Edwardian Lady. 🧡 I have this book and you inspired me what I can create with it! 🤩😁 Gina
These are very fun. Thank you so much for sharing. Hope all goes well with your electrician and they are able to fix the issue without too much chaos. Take care dear one.
Thanks love🤗 it's a very simple problem, an earth wire has come away on one of the sockets in one of these rooms. The rooms with huge wardrobes and book cases😐 If they send the mansplainer back, he won't be getting a cup of tea😅🤗💜
Thank you Julie. I was scrolling through last night looking for something late on and your video popped up. Too late to watch as I had to be up early. So saved and watched this morning. It’s like saving your favourite bite of food to the last😂. Love the double sided note books. 😊❤️
Oh Julie, I laughed when you mentioned velcro on shoes. We bought our youngest son a pair of joggers with velcro fasteners when they came out. Well we all nearly went mad, because he sat there opening and closing them over and over, and the ripping sound drove us crazy. 😨😂😂 Needless to say he never go another pair. He's 49 now and is lucky he made it this far. 😂😂.Val.🐨 💟
I really like this, because you can always use more writing space, plus it's a great way to use up scraps! I also like that you can make them to go in ANY journal, and they are just super cute! Using the little magnets really elevates them to the next level, and it's so easy that anyone can do it - you don't need any special digi kits, fancy tools or whatever - a pair of scissors and a regular hole punch is really all you need! Thanks for the "thumbs up" video!! Bravo! Rounding corners is optional, but even that can be done with scissors - so simple - love it!!! Nice to tuck into your bag, also - or even include in a happy mail or card! So many uses!!
These are different for me. Fun to make and pretty! Thank you for showing how to use magnets, I haven’t done that yet. I enjoyed our time together, I enjoyed you sharing the process. Looking forward to the next video. 🤗🎶🌷🐩🥰
thank you for your lovely tutorial today, I really love this idea and will be making some this arvo. Love listening to you and you always make my day with your sense of humor. My in laws are from the yorkshire part of England and its lovely listening to them as well.
I love this! And I have to admit, I am quite smitten with the side one. 😂 So I am making one this afternoon. Definitely family should come first, so we will just have to wait until a spark of creativity hits you, and life gives you a minute to breathe. When it happens-it’s always wonderful! Yes, I still cannot get the Edith Holden journals out of my head (And I know you wish I would shut up about them! 😂) Hugs 🤗❤️
Thanks lovely🤗 The girls will be 18 this year and won't want to spend so much time with their old mum, so I'm making the most of it😁 My friend Sherl just ordered some Edith Holden German scrap images from a lady in the USA. I'll link them if they are any good 🤗💜

It works if your magnetic is strong enough to go through whatever you want it to. I used a washer the other day for the first time & it worked! 🥰 ❤️
Oh my, i wish you were here in the states, i would just to meet you, ur so jolly, & happy, PLUS i simply LOVE ur accent 😘😘😘😘
