Millwall v Luton preview: Do Hatters have a fighting chance at first win?

- The international break is over and real football returns on Saturday as Luton Town head to the capital to take on Millwall at The New Den.
To preview the match, Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe and Luton professional boxer Linus Udofia, who will be fighting for the English middleweight title on Saturday..
The boys begin by reflecting on the international break and the talking points from Kenilworth Road over the course of the week, including the flag row with The FA, before looking ahead to the match with The Lions.
The lads then reflect on what we can expect from Millwall and where the dangers might lie before the attention turns to who could line up for the Hatters in the contest.
Is this the day we see Marvelous Nakamba starting a league match? Will Tom Krauss start straight away? Could there even be a surprise name in the squad for the game?
As always the football chat ends with the score predictions. Can any of the lads correctly predict the score for the first time this season!?
Once the football talk is done the attention turns to the boxing ring where Linus fights for the English middleweight title at York Hall on Saturday night.
He gives us some info on his fight with Dan Catlin including his preparations and what we can expect. There is a chat about the Luton boxing scene and a shout for Kenilworth Road or Power Court showdown!

The Luton Town Supporters' Trust was created, and initially named Trust in Luton, in 2003 to help force out unpopular former owner John Gurney.
Current club chief executive Gary Sweet was part of the group that effectively forced the club into administration and out of Mr Gurney's control, for a new consortium to take over, headed up by Bill Tomlins.
Another change of ownership again brought problems and administration followed again in 2007, until the club was eventually bought out by the fan-led 2020 consortium, headed up by Sweet, which has now helped steer the history-making Hatters from the non-league to the Premier League.
The Supporters' Trust is a democratic, non-profit organisation run by fans for fans. The purpose of a Trust is to help fans to join together and strengthen their influence over the way Luton Town Football Club is run, and to improve the links between their club and the community it serves.
In a way, we’re like a union, believing that many voices are stronger than one and that the best way to influence the club is to represent many fans, not just ourselves.

Gonna go for a 2-1 victory for Millwall. In the hope that Luton prove me wrong. Good to hear some support from the panel to give Joe a start …definition of madness to keep persevering with the same thing and expecting a different outcome. I’d put Morris on the bench for a couple of games or at least move him inside so he has a closer pairing with Adebayo.
Excited to see how Krauss and Moses will figure. Baptiste has played well for us in the first 4 games, I think he deserves to start again for this one. Marv has to start if he's fit, he showed his class in that half against QPR. So maybe both Krauss and Moses will be on the bench?

Playing Away to a revitalized Millwall with 3 new forwards since that home defeat to Watford, where I paid for a Millwall ticket and for the first time in over 60 years,I never went .
Now with players back and recruits, we are buzzing but have to play on a sleepy, sunny Late Summer morning so the atmosphere and passion will be diluted.
2/2 Draw though if played later,a Millwall win.
This game Saturday for me, is a Luton Town reboot.....watch this space, 0-3 Luton Town. Linus to mash up the ring again, the the 6th.
I can't wait to see what Victor Moses brings to the table. I tip my hat to the recruitment team again on pulling another blinder out of the bag. This is why I will never panic when it comes to who and when we recruit. Fingers crossed Rob makes the changes we need to start our season but worried he will keep with the status quo and wait until we're 2-0 down at Millwall to make changes in the 81st minute with a trio of subs.
Either way, the first goal will be so important and if we score first, we will go on to win 2 or 3 nil. If Millwall score first, I'd be looking for a draw followed by the usual excuses from Rob. However, if he does change things up, I'd be looking for a good performance and a 2-0 win. Taylor must start if he is fit but if it's 0-0 at half time, Taylor must get 45 minutes without question. The lad has goal and we are lacking goals. COYH!!!
I've been watching Ted Lasso recently. It sounds weird, but watching it made me less worried about Luton's poor start this season.
Absolutely no idea of what version of Luton will show up. It’s basically a new team. Will take a couple of months to gel. Results will be up and down until late November time. Then a strong run will put Luton in the playoff places.
Confident for Saturday - they’ve had time to put right a few things, going for 3-1 to Luton. COYH
I am a long term Luton fan. Forget the fair weather folk that jumped onboard during the good years. A few bad games as a run is not a disaster for any club. Accept these muppets, they are used to instant gratification. They will learn.
Millwall are gonna be tough and will frustrate us. If they get their noses in front our heads will drop again and we'll lose. If we score first, I think it'll end 1-1, just due to lack of confidence we won't hold on for win, but an away draw will be something we can build on. Either Morris or Adebayo should be dropped for this one, but not both. We've heard many times how good Woodrow is at finishing, maybe it's time for him to step up, with Brown and Taylor as options from the bench.
Back on track Saturday 2 - 0 win to the Town.
Linus seems like a nice guy, but not really contributing much to the football side of the conversation. I'd probably not tell him that to his face tbf. Good pod as always gents, and hope Linus wins his upcoming bout.

this boxer guys doesn’t know much about football does he! The transfer window is over so you can only sign players who have no club! Can’t remember players names as well!

He has a major title bout on Saturday. Got plenty on his plate this week; probably his agent tossed this gig in at the last minute to promote the fight and he didn't have a chance to get up to speed.
