So amazing. I saw them in 2007 and they were fantastic. Ihsahn is such an underrated guitarist and kudos for Samoth for always keeping up with him. Trym is spectacular as always. I think Emperor is the perfect black metal band. I would do anything for a new album. I know it will never happen because Ihsahn said that if there were a new album it would sound just like his solo albums. Sad though because I like his solo music, just not nearly as amazing as the one true Emperor!!!
Emperor are the fucking gods. I played anthems to my brothers out in afghan and patrols were so much fun after. I was in the Irish guards and most just liked oasis. I turned them into metal fans. Emperor slayer and when we needed to pump up i got biohazard on. Good days
These guys are pretty good they are playing fast and are actually in tune and not sloppy and thats what I look for in music like this. I never seen these guys live but if they ever come to cleveland I will go see them.
Yeah I knot it all, Mayhem has good albums especially DMDS but nothing amazing like Emperor or Darkthrone works. I know the complete stories I really hate to Vikernes but never to Euronymous. At least, he was who gave life and essence to this genre but real Norwegian Kings are Emperor and Darkthrone.
