  • In this video, explained new feature of Squareoff Trading Bots where user can select the hedges based on their risk appetite that dynamically changes based on Auto Short Strangle Entry.
Users who are looking for margin benefit can opt for far away otm as hedge, where they can stick to default strike where it chooses 10 legs away otm for nifty, FinNifty and midcap. 20 legs away otm for bank nifty, Sensex, Bankex.
If user wish to purely go for hedge, then they can opt for near by hedges like 1 leg away or 2 leg away or 3 leg away, closer the hedge lower the risk and it can lower the profitability. This can also reduce the required margin significantly since you use closer hedge.
If you select 3 leg away, and if Nifty ATS shorts 25000 ce and 24500 pe, then it will place hedges first which will be 25300 ce and 24200 pe. And then execute the respective short order. And when the system rebalances, then it will squareoff short order and hedge order, then place new hedge orders which is 3 legs away from respective short entry.
So hedges are not static , it’s dynamic , it keeps changing based on where the short position which makes sure the risk is always intact and doesn’t vary at all.
Based on individual risk appetite, one can opt for ideal hedge.

hi kiru is it absolutely necessary for us to mention the distance of the hedges, or there is a standard format which square off chooses & we can follow that like now

By default, It selects 10 OTM for Midcap, nifty, finnifty and 20 OTM as hedge for BNF, BANKEX, SENSEX. You can leave it with this default as well, not a problem if you want the hedges to be used for margin benefit alone.

4000rs is just brokerage , what about other charges ? stt gst cgst so on

Maximum portion goes to brokerage, for option trading stt is ten times lesser compared to futures, even considering all that it ends up in profits.

@@SquareOff I had a brokerage of 95K during the 100 days challenge which we stopped in between. Though gross profit was 80k after charges ended up in negative due to 20 rs /order for capital of 30L. Kiru already traders are facing so many challenges with teh spike, if you can bring in low cost brokerages it would greatly help. Otherwise we would be filling coffers for exchanges, brokers and intermediary. I have already written to this and am hoping you will heed to this request
