None of the current maps are Tank friendly. They either are: 1. Too small and cramped so you just get surrounded by infantry and blown up to oblivion. Or 2. Too vertical like Hamada which is supposed to be focusing more on vehicles. All the small cliffs and hills just block your vision and make tank movement a real slugfest. Panzerstorm will be a welcomed addition in my book. Also only 2-3 skins without any other customization option is a joke.
hamada is so annoying in a tank because even though its big, they force you down canyons and narrow vallies. Every map except Arras does this to tank. For the tanker to drive down allies and get blown to bits. Its that or machine gun snipe from 3 miles away, then drive another 3 miles away to refill ammo. And I hear they are BUFFING the panzerfaust to disable a tank in one hit in this patch. Not kidding Edit: they’re not buffing it after all. Just changing it a little
@@NeilSeaver No they are not buffing the panzerfaust, they are reducing its maximum damage it can do, and increasing it's minimum damage, it will only do a maximum of 25 vehicle damage when the patch hits.

this map looks like great. Like al alanin or whatever in BF 1942. A real battlefield maps doesn't always cater to someone who wants to run around as infantry and go 40-2 and gets triggered when a vehicle kills him twice making him go 40-4.

It seems that they purposely stripped content that could have been in this game day 1 as a means for their “live service” to give the allure that the game is going to be receiving loads of content in the future. Since this game does not have a premium pass, Its easier to half ass because you’re not paying extra for dlc. I honestly don’t feel good about the road map but we shall see what becomes of it.

arnoodt panzerfaust is being nerfed and buffed at the same time. Shorter range and deals less dmg when firing at a long range. However glancing blows will deal 15 dmg now instead of 5or 10. But it will be more consistent so instead of doing ridiculous dmg at parts where it shouldn’t it will be glancing blows instead

DICE is acting like they have never designed a functioning Battlefield game and they are starting from scratch. Just make the assignments permanent and give us skins that are earned through actually gameplay and not stupid made up currency. They need to just be happy we are even buying their games after how the last couple games have been handle, stop trying to nickle and dime us.
I know it's controversial, but I loved BF4s battlepacks, you got them from leveling up and every 100 kills with a weapon, you unlocked knives, skins, dog tags and even stuff to customize your profile with if that's what you wanted. There was like 50-100 weapon skins, granted they were the same camos but different variations they still seemed 100x better than this bs. There was a lot of vehicle customization, you could get thermal, night vision and double zoom for your tanks, incendiary rounds, 50. cal machine guns, different tanks shells and all that shit. I don't get why no battlefield has tried to replicate what BF4 did ever since then even though it's arguably the most fans favorite system.

Yeah you can also get the gold one through gameplay but guess what you need to put the assignments on which nobody does, instead of BF4 where all the hundreds of assignments are on at default and the challenges are actually fucking fun and well thought out like get 5 kills on firestorm tower to get the gol magnum or get 5 headshots with the unica 6 to get the deagle. Now the challenges are just "deal 960 damage as the axis" which is the stupidest most dumbed down assignments you could possibly think of.

Yeap. I constantly see people avoiding playing the medic class, but its super useful for reviving and attacking. Well placed smoke grenades (both hand and rifle grenades) can be used to shut down MGs and snipers at range and allow your teammates to rush forward. This is a must in the breakthrough mode and also really useful on conquest.

Love you Jack, but tbh not everyone mains the scout/recon class like you tend to lean toward and the entirety of battlefield games shouldn't be geared towards players like that (as they usually seem to be now). Since it is World War 2, and an early battle at that, German Blitzkrieg was a lot more effective and a lot more prevalent. In my opinion, there should be more than 7 tanks per team, but be restricted to what tanks you could choose from like in BF1 on some maps. The focus NEEDS to be geared more towards vehicles in this one since the other battlefields were quite lacking bc 90% of bitchy snipers complained about getting killed. This is world war fucking 2, one of the only conflicts in history to employ tanks and aircraft in such large numbers in their battles. To not focus on them would make for 1) lackluster gameplay and 2) be a dishonor
Recon and sniper rifles have been merged in battlefield for a couple years! That’s not botching, it’s just a fact. The rifles aren’t over powered at all. Only 2 bolt action rifles are head shot kill rifles. The rest of them take 2 head shots for the kill.
One thing that bothers me with people saying that its tides of war when we will see the m1 garand and it had to follow a time line but then we have the stg 44 which was not made until late 43 and 1944 log after the Americans already entered the war.
Locking the coolest most amazing revolver in any game in bf1 not just behind an endless grind for someone who hasn't known or figured something epic would be the payoff to all of the terribly monotonous and very plentiful Easter eggs. Honestly I downloaded BF4 yesterday and played for about an hour and the tank map coming out now in BF5 is basically what Golmund is in BF4. So honestly I don't know why people are hating on BF5 when these people are actually getting what they want. I also would like some vehicle maps too, but I can love the maps we already have and have fun playing them. I personally get more kills and live longer in BF5 than I ever did in BF4 where you constantly get sniped in the back and shot from someone you'll never be able to see because everyone is just spawning everywhere. I think people remember BF3 and BF4 differently than they actually were. Yeah they were a lot of fun, but they could be really fucking frustrating to play too because there's no real skill in staying alive. You just randomly get shot all the time and have no control over it. The maps in BF5 do a great job of providing cover and at least give you a chance at staying alive.
Why is it that instead of reducing the damage or fire rate of a weapon they just go to the damn recoil? To me, it's a less effective way of addressing an issue of a too good weapon. People can master the recoil and still go on a tear with it.
Theres no recoil in fortnite and cod bo4. They have to copy off other games that everyone else prefers these days because of pussified crybabies that cant handle a hardcore war game

Some elements such as the transport is for something like a Milsim (military simulation) where people get together making a group that is based on a military all the way down to the very weapons you use like US made weapons etc.
Seems the game is almost dead or at least dying. I don't see DICE doing anything beyond the know Tides of war content, having no motivation to produce more maps, etc. because there is no DLC or lootboxes to fund additional content.
It is getting released in 2019. In true DICE fashion their games are in the launch quality state 12 months after the intial fully priced early access release.
I don't understand why BF5 is getting so much hate? They are releasing so much content for free there are gonna be like 5 more of these updates and the gameplay is fun it was just a little rushed by the bigger ups. I am excited about this map and future updates.

Royal Chill Person Dice have a 2 year window they have to get a game out by Christmas year two, no matter what, there’s some Bugs so what, they’ve added more to this game mechanics wise than any other BF, BF4 was just BF3 with different maps and it was buggy as shit, but it was fine a month or two later. People complaining about update need to understand that even NASA has problems and failures. Rockets get scrubbed, rockets go off and explode. Shit happens, it isnt some simple process even though we all think it should be. Please humble yourselves people.

IMO little things like making the most effective use out of handling and deciding the path of a vehicle can potentially come in handy and change how people effectively use a vehicle which can make all the difference in a game, especially for those relying on someone to properly transport them to an adequate destination. Minimize getting stuck on rocks and getting hit by a rocket.
I think it’s gonna be awesome seeing infantry and tanks side by side but I do agree it looks like another Galicia and should have maybe more trees, House , maybe emphasize the fortifications but being able to build lots of trenches and pill boxes even
What happens when you poop out a new title every year. Battlefield used to be so immersive and having a variety of ways to play the game base on your play style, just a massive decline in content and playability since hardline. Hope they come back eventually.
There is a tank shooting range. But you can only choose between a Churchill and a Flakpanzer and the tank targets are just paper cutouts and with the flak panzer the planes that spawn for the spitfire spawn and fly circuits around you

I am mainly an infantry player, but I appreciate there being more armor centered maps. I feel like BFV has done pretty good at making everything interesting to play. I'm excited to hop in some tanks and lob giant ass hunks of lead across the map :)
DICE has that developer thing where they make something perfect once then forget how to make it again.. BF4 had a practice range and it's perfect IMO, you can access your full kits for both teams, every vehicle in the game, you have moving targets at various ranges to shoot at, all the battle pickup weapons, enemy vehicles to shoot at. All on a dedicated map, why can't they just do that again?
They said that the bombers would take more damage to AAs and another planes... but i think dice likes ju88 players going 100/0 and demolishing any plane with the passengers HMGs upgrade. Nice²
Right now bombers don't take any AA damage directly from behind, because of a bug. That'll be fixed in the patch. They also increase the flak damage a bit against the bombers. Those two things make AA much stronger against bombers.

Medics shouldn't have a rifle... with revives and infinite health and smokes, the only thing to balance the class is reduce the guns' effective ranges. People who complain about medics only having SMGs either played the class once and didn't understand how to effectively fight in range and died trying to outgun an STG or an LMG or main Assault and expected similar results when trying to play a medic.

And its not fun to just play with your mates rez and revive them while staying behind and only have the stan for low Mid range. Medic in Battlefield 4 and 3 wasnt a problem too with almost insta res and the Assult rifle on Bf3/4.
Yea i do, but only if done right. I love distinguishing myself from others and a skin can do that for me, especially if you can earn it by completing challenges or simply playing the game a lot. It gives you a sense of accomplishment and customization is always great for expessing yourself.

BUT and I hope this will raise some attention to this; people dislike almost everything about bf5 and the stuff that is added, however people never mention something good or just accept somethings. for example the vehicle checkpoint game, if it is in the game and you don't get forced to do the checkpoints than does it matter that is is something new. and for example the tank skins that change the tanks, people put out so much hate on it in the release trailer and not you'll hear people complaining about it not changing. to sum it up people are constantly so negative about almost everything from both sides off a topic, I hope this changes. sorry for the ramble but I thing people should accept things first and stop being almost only negative about everything in this game!

Whilst they were in the pre game menu, I saw that the total assault weapon count is now 11 and medic is 9. We know of at least two in the assault class to be the AGM42 and also the Ribeyrolles M1918 was unlocked. Seems we will get more weapons than we thought!
The trailer showed Vickers K (support), Selbstlader 1906 (Recon) and the aforementioned Ag M/42 (Assault). You can see the Ribeyrolles here, which is medic I guess?
Will we be finally able to change our tankcrew/pilots? I cant stand those ridicoulus squeals anymore when a tank or plane gets killed. Sure for some its fine but i would personally prefer a male pilot/tanker instead of a female one because for me its kinda immersion breaking when i shoot down a plane and fly by to a high pitched squeal and i dont really liked the forced diversity. Just make a male/female switch and everyones pleased.
Ideally, we’re getting a plane-centric compliment to Panzerstorm in the near future. Fjell’s air-raid scramble just ain’t enough to get those upgrades going.
The TTD feeling is further exacerbated by the fact that taking hits barelly gives any feedback to the player. There's no big "oomph" sound of bullets hitting or a soldier "oof" while taking damage for the most part and the damage taken direction marker is so tiny you'll barelly even realise you are being shot at. At least that's what I feel.
The spread of the Ju-88 bomber doesn't really fix the problem because you can fly pretty high and dive in an angle to concentrate the bombs to a certain area. This is pretty easy to do if you get Dive Brakes specialization. Anyways, the real problem was that German Bombers should be in par with the British Bombers if you wanted a balance. It takes 3 British Bombers to match the bombing capacity of a Ju-88. If a British soldier can carry an MG42 then a British Pilot should be able to fly a JU-88 (or something similar).
Hitting checkpoints in a transport vehicles is quite usefull. You can kill people by driving over them, which is a good features because as the driver you dont have ways to kill someone while driving alone. I also dont think everybody knows you can do this

Cause the US isn't in the war yet we're starting with the beginning of the war and the US didn't join till later. The assets are there so don't worry Sherman's and US uniforms are shown in the new War Story, DICE will implement them eventually probably later next year.

DICE is acting like they have never designed a functioning Battlefield game and they are starting from scratch. Just make the assignments permanent and give us skins that are earned through actually gameplay and not stupid made up currency. They need to just be happy we are even buying their games after how the last couple games have been handle, stop trying to nickle and dime us.
I know it's controversial, but I loved BF4s battlepacks, you got them from leveling up and every 100 kills with a weapon, you unlocked knives, skins, dog tags and even stuff to customize your profile with if that's what you wanted. There was like 50-100 weapon skins, granted they were the same camos but different variations they still seemed 100x better than this bs. There was a lot of vehicle customization, you could get thermal, night vision and double zoom for your tanks, incendiary rounds, 50. cal machine guns, different tanks shells and all that shit. I don't get why no battlefield has tried to replicate what BF4 did ever since then even though it's arguably the most fans favorite system.

You serious? You mean that shitty 'predator' one or the blue camo you get? Yeah you can also get the gold one through gameplay but guess what you need to put the assignments on which nobody does, instead of BF4 where all the hundreds of assignments are on at default and the challenges are actually fucking fun and well thought out like get 5 kills on firestorm tower to get the gol magnum or get 5 headshots with the unica 6 to get the deagle. Now the challenges are just "deal 960 damage as the axis" which is the stupidest most dumbed down assignments you could possibly think of.

Yeap. I constantly see people avoiding playing the medic class, but its super useful for reviving and attacking. Well placed smoke grenades (both hand and rifle grenades) can be used to shut down MGs and snipers at range and allow your teammates to rush forward. This is a must in the breakthrough mode and also really useful on conquest.

Love you Jack, but tbh not everyone mains the scout/recon class like you tend to lean toward and the entirety of battlefield games shouldn't be geared towards players like that (as they usually seem to be now). Since it is World War 2, and an early battle at that, German Blitzkrieg was a lot more effective and a lot more prevalent. In my opinion, there should be more than 7 tanks per team, but be restricted to what tanks you could choose from like in BF1 on some maps. The focus NEEDS to be geared more towards vehicles in this one since the other battlefields were quite lacking bc 90% of bitchy snipers complained about getting killed. This is world war fucking 2, one of the only conflicts in history to employ tanks and aircraft in such large numbers in their battles. To not focus on them would make for 1) lackluster gameplay and 2) be a dishonor
Recon and sniper rifles have been merged in battlefield for a couple years! That’s not botching, it’s just a fact. The rifles aren’t over powered at all. Only 2 bolt action rifles are head shot kill rifles. The rest of them take 2 head shots for the kill.
One thing that bothers me with people saying that its tides of war when we will see the m1 garand and it had to follow a time line but then we have the stg 44 which was not made until late 43 and 1944 log after the Americans already entered the war.

Honestly I downloaded BF4 yesterday and played for about an hour and the tank map coming out now in BF5 is basically what Golmund is in BF4. So honestly I don't know why people are hating on BF5 when these people are actually getting what they want. I also would like some vehicle maps too, but I can love the maps we already have and have fun playing them. I personally get more kills and live longer in BF5 than I ever did in BF4 where you constantly get sniped in the back and shot from someone you'll never be able to see because everyone is just spawning everywhere.
I think people remember BF3 and BF4 differently than they actually were. Yeah they were a lot of fun, but they could be really fucking frustrating to play too because there's no real skill in staying alive. You just randomly get shot all the time and have no control over it.
The maps in BF5 do a great job of providing cover and at least give you a chance at staying alive.

Bombers should feel the effects of their payload with reduced maneuverability and speed to make getting bombs on target the challenge it should be.
Why is it that instead of reducing the damage or fire rate of a weapon they just go to the damn recoil? To me, it's a less effective way of addressing an issue of a too good weapon. People can master the recoil and still go on a tear with it.

Some elements such as the transport is for something like a Milsim (military simulation) where people get together making a group that is based on a military all the way down to the very weapons you use like US made weapons etc.

IMO little things like making the most effective use out of handling and deciding the path of a vehicle can potentially come in handy and change how people effectively use a vehicle which can make all the difference in a game, especially for those relying on someone to properly transport them to an adequate destination. Minimize getting stuck on rocks and getting hit by a rocket.

What happens when you poop out a new title every year. Battlefield used to be so immersive and having a variety of ways to play the game base on your play style, just a massive decline in content and playability since hardline. Hope they come back eventually.

There is a tank shooting range. But you can only choose between a Churchill and a Flakpanzer and the tank targets are just paper cutouts and with the flak panzer the planes that spawn for the spitfire spawn and fly circuits around you

I am mainly an infantry player, but I appreciate there being more armor centered maps. I feel like BFV has done pretty good at making everything interesting to play. I'm excited to hop in some tanks and lob giant ass hunks of lead across the map :)

DICE has that developer thing where they make something perfect once then forget how to make it again.. BF4 had a practice range and it's perfect IMO, you can access your full kits for both teams, every vehicle in the game, you have moving targets at various ranges to shoot at, all the battle pickup weapons, enemy vehicles to shoot at. All on a dedicated map, why can't they just do that again?

They said that the bombers would take more damage to AAs and another planes... but i think dice likes ju88 players going 100/0 and demolishing any plane with the passengers HMGs upgrade. Nice²
Right now bombers don't take any AA damage directly from behind, because of a bug. That'll be fixed in the patch. They also increase the flak damage a bit against the bombers. Those two things make AA much stronger against bombers.

Medics shouldn't have a rifle... with revives and infinite health and smokes, the only thing to balance the class is reduce the guns' effective ranges. People who complain about medics only having SMGs either played the class once and didn't understand how to effectively fight in range and died trying to outgun an STG or an LMG or main Assault and expected similar results when trying to play a medic.

And its not fun to just play with your mates rez and revive them while staying behind and only have the stan for low Mid range. Medic in Battlefield 4 and 3 wasnt a problem too with almost insta res and the Assult rifle on Bf3/4.

Yea i do, but only if done right. I love distinguishing myself from others and a skin can do that for me, especially if you can earn it by completing challenges or simply playing the game a lot. It gives you a sense of accomplishment and customization is always great for expessing yourself.

BUT and I hope this will raise some attention to this; people dislike almost everything about bf5 and the stuff that is added, however people never mention something good or just accept somethings. for example the vehicle checkpoint game, if it is in the game and you don't get forced to do the checkpoints than does it matter that is is something new. and for example the tank skins that change the tanks, people put out so much hate on it in the release trailer and not you'll hear people complaining about it not changing. to sum it up people are constantly so negative about almost everything from both sides off a topic, I hope this changes. sorry for the ramble but I thing people should accept things first and stop being almost only negative about everything in this game!

Whilst they were in the pre game menu, I saw that the total assault weapon count is now 11 and medic is 9. We know of at least two in the assault class to be the AGM42 and also the Ribeyrolles M1918 was unlocked. Seems we will get more weapons than we thought!

Will we be finally able to change our tankcrew/pilots? I cant stand those ridicoulus squeals anymore when a tank or plane gets killed. Sure for some its fine but i would personally prefer a male pilot/tanker instead of a female one because for me its kinda immersion breaking when i shoot down a plane and fly by to a high pitched squeal and i dont really liked the forced diversity. Just make a male/female switch and everyones pleased.
Ideally, we’re getting a plane-centric compliment to Panzerstorm in the near future. Fjell’s air-raid scramble just ain’t enough to get those upgrades going.

I've been a Battlefield fan for the last 10 years and all I got is this lousy dog tag.
The TTD feeling is further exacerbated by the fact that taking hits barelly gives any feedback to the player. There's no big "oomph" sound of bullets hitting or a soldier "oof" while taking damage for the most part and the damage taken direction marker is so tiny you'll barelly even realise you are being shot at. At least that's what I feel.

The spread of the Ju-88 bomber doesn't really fix the problem because you can fly pretty high and dive in an angle to concentrate the bombs to a certain area. This is pretty easy to do if you get Dive Brakes specialization. Anyways, the real problem was that German Bombers should be in par with the British Bombers if you wanted a balance. It takes 3 British Bombers to match the bombing capacity of a Ju-88. If a British soldier can carry an MG42 then a British Pilot should be able to fly a JU-88 (or something similar).

Hitting checkpoints in a transport vehicles is quite usefull. You can kill people by driving over them, which is a good features because as the driver you dont have ways to kill someone while driving alone. I also dont think everybody knows you can do this

Cause the US isn't in the war yet we're starting with the beginning of the war and the US didn't join till later. The assets are there so don't worry Sherman's and US uniforms are shown in the new War Story, DICE will implement them eventually probably later next year.
