I feel more grief for Steve Cash than I have for some of the people I have known IRL. He really affected me. His level of creativity verged on genius, and his music vids were so very enjoyable. He made Sylvester into a personality that felt as real as any person that we know. If he had remained, and lived to be 110, I would have never gotten tired of his videos.. In fact, I could watch Steve and Sylvester and gang until the end of time!

It's _really_ been well over a decade since I started watching the talking kitty videos. Heck, Steve was one of THE comedy OGs on UA-cam for me, along with the likes of RWJ.
Three years since we lost Steve, two from Sylvester. Gibson, Shelby...
Life really doesn't stop for a second until it's over, and it waits for absolutely no one.
Makes me all the more grateful for the videos Steve made.

@@make_riveragod3270 there's no way to ever know, I'm afraid. But I do know he was a sufferer of bipolar and I think he probably hit a low at one of the worst times to have gotten hit by one too 💔 being shut in during a low is never good.
@@make_riveragod3270 He was manic bipolar he said on a post on Facebook he was in a really bad manic low and that's why he has not been making videos. But his depression became so overwhelming he just couldn't take it anymore. He lost his battle with depression. Sometimes it becomes so much and takes over your whole life. He has mentioned before that it has become so much he can't even do videos and just can't do anything because depression has such a hold on him. His wife said he was in pain. He just couldn't take it anymore.
Imagine living a life where your feelings are up and down. For a time you feel so good and amazing and it goes away within a second when you've been feeling so great for weeks or months then depression takes over again and you feel so low and you can't even get out of bed. How all of us manics feel is "when I feel good I know it won't last forever"

It breaks my heart to hear steve killed himself and he wasnt able to get the help he needed. He has been such an excellent human being with helping everyone put through joy and laughter and now hes gone. I've been watching him since I was about 8 and have watched every video hours of the release.

Oh my god. I can’t stop crying. In 5th grade I was insanely obsessed with this series, I would go as far as taking a bath with a laptop just watching the videos over and over because I just couldn’t stop laughing. I also begged my dad to adopt a black cat, and we did. We went to a shelter and found a cat and I named him slyvester.
When I heard about the news, I was with my cousin. I don’t remember how I heard it but I remember being so in shock. I cried in my cousins arms and couldn’t stop crying. The news was so devastating to me.
I come back every once in a while to relive the memories and cherish how much he made my childhood.
Rest in paradise Steve. You are missed dearly.

3 months later he is gone, but he will never ever be forgotten. We may have lost a legend but his legacy lives on in the 69 talking kitty vids he made. REST IN PEACE STEVE. WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!
Also all the different covers he did, his "4 Steve's series", his band "Pause for the Cause", and all the songs he personally wrote, sang, recorded to video and uploaded. He was exceptionally talented in so many areas. I know it probably would not have changed the ultimate outcome...bipolar depression is overwhelming...but I wonder if he realized just how much his many, many fans cherished and adored him? As I have stated in the comments of another of his videos, i did not know him personally, but his passing has affected me deeply. My heart goes out to his wife and children, his family and friends, and of course...his pets. We as fans have lost a truly special, talented, unique "friend" as well. Rest easy Steve...you will be sorely missed by all who loved and adored you. Flaggle Claggle buddy...
