Hey Graham, I just figured out how to wire the halos to always have them(W/DRL, W/Headlight, W/Parking light) you will need to find the brown and green wire on the drivers side headlight harness, then find the purple and white one too. You first connect the positive wire of your halo to the purple and white, the negative to the black and grey. Which I assume you have already done. You simply need to get a piece of wire( or 2) tap one end to the brown and green, and the other end into the positive wire in your halo. And your halos will come on with drls and headlight. There is unfortunately no known drl wire on the passenger side, so you could just get a longer wire and tap it into the drivers side brown and green wire.
So im currently doing in cad holder for the leds what i know the best fitment provides 125mm leds that are applied for bmw x3 with cutted top since grill is not circle also is not straight but cuted in axis x
It's a custom combo I put together using a GT grille insert and base V6 grille surround. It required some fabrication to make it work, but was well worth it!
Joseph Garcia no, if you want swap you need replace the holder too and the holder is black, he buy just the grill (not the same but similar) gt style you can see the holder is chromed (from v6) Conclusión: buy gt grille style for v6
Hey buddy I too bought a candy red 2013 v6 convertible, this is the first mod I wanna do...let me know if you find any details on the halo grille for '13 v6... I'm in US
Is your car 2014 V6 Mustang? Would it be possible to put down the link where you bought your halos? The American Muscle Website says it don't fit on V6's only GT's. Thank you!
@@christianrodriguez6076 yhea man, no problem! Just make sure you cover the back of the halos completely with hot glue because later water will get inside and some of the LEDs will stop working. Good thing they are not expensive whatsoever! Goodluck on the small project man!
I just found this in the repair Manuel: Violet and white is parking lights, Brown and Green is DRLs, And Black and Gray is Ground. Hopefully that helps!
Hey Graham, I just tried to figure out the wiring on my stang today, it seems like the brown and green wire I was talking about is only found on the drivers side DRL. I am still trying to figure the wiring on the passenger side. However, we could wire both of the halos to that one wire, you just need an extension for the one on the passenger side.
@@urielloya8568 haha 3 years? Well that’s a little bit late. So there are actually DRl wires on both sides, just color coded differently, think you can find some info from diode dynamics. Tapping into both of them is probably your best bet instead of running a long wire across the car. As for me, I went with completely different lights that are rgb and turn signal, so that wiring was a fun mess. Let me know if you need any help :) also don’t buy the cheap eBay halos..

I have a question, why don’t my led strips turn on when I unlock my car? Only when I turn them on manually, is there something I need to do for them to turn on when I hit the unlock button my key?
Hey did you end up finding a set of halos that are reliable and last for long time? I'm looking to get one but have read that some of them burn out or stop working like raxiom
Nice mod. Dang, the only thing that has me cringing a bit is that all of that work is just being held together with some tape. If I were to go through all of that work, especially with these being your second pair on the car, I would personally try to find some way around taping them to the car.
Jon Paul 3m tape works wonders! It’s used for loads of stuff on cars now like badges and emblems and even the decklid. I’ve never had an issue with 3m tape failing. Once it sticks, it’s not going to let go. The reason I had issues with the first set was because of water. They stuck and stayed on the grille just fine!
Jon Paul trust me dude, Graham is right on this one, sunbursting the 3M tape is the best solution so far. I’ve tried hot glue and clear tape, none of which can hold it on for more than a month.
Tt99Caden909 When I said that I would try to find a way around using tape, i didn’t exactly mean using glue as an alternative. I’d fabricate something with scrap metal to hold it in place, if it were me. If you aren’t able to do something like that yourself, most body shops could help you come up with something.
Jon Paul Well, if that is what you are going to do, by no means, do it. I personally like Graham’s way of doing it since it doesn’t hurt the appearance of the car and it does a great job at holding the halos in place. I just personally thought there’s no need to over do things.
Acevedo_ 302 mine are 125 mm and they fit good. I got them from this seller rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F182732397297
Ebay. I'd share the link but it is gone now. Just search around for the size and you'll find some good options! Go for water-proof if you can. It will be worth it. Mine weren't and I had to replace them every so often.

No. Need a gt grille surround. Then any grille will fit
What silicone or type did you use?
Could you put a link to the leds
Where did you get them ??
Where is the grill from?
I just bought a 2013 Mustang V6 how did you get the grille to fit?
If you’re asking about adding the GT insert to the V6 surround, I had to do lots of Dremeling.

Would this work on a 2012 Mustang V6??? But ofcourse with the GT Grille
I do not believe that a 12 GT grille will fit a 12 V6. Research that first. If it does, it will work!
