I honestly love Lyric as a villain. Screw what everyone else thinks, I liked him and I wish he would be used more.
He could have been a great villain, honestly, his whole thing was just executed poorly.
Me personally Lyric had potential he was just executed poorly.

As bad as the game is, I like how the final boss was designed. It gives each player in the team a role in the final boss (they each have to go through their own section to get a crystal), which, to me, is symbolic of how each member of the team is important.
That's what I think I like best in the final battle as well. Yeah, the games bad, but it's fun to me. That's what matters to me

Except that the "speed sections" would have to be removed.
I will say I found Sonic 06 alot more enjoyable but I think Sonic 06 was the worse game and this game was better.

I´ll be honest: I can barely make heads or tails of this fight. It tries to be God of War, but it is just a mess.

This Final Battle is epic.
I know that I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this but I think that Rise of Lyric deserves a PS4/PS5,Xbox One/Series X,Nintendo Switch and PC port.
If it became a remake i bet the fight will change into something epic.
I agree. This is one of those big games that needs good graphics and a good resolution/performance.
I would love to see this, but with the graphics of that late version of Sonic Synergy (or was it already called Boom?), but even better. (Or maybe the same on Switch. But the Switch version would probably still have updated graphical effects, so maybe on par with it, considering how MK8DX looks and that it's a 2014 game, so it should be totally possible)

Great in concept, but terrible in execution. I couldn't play too far through the game on my friends Wii U since the controls were really confusing.

Still have no idea people hate on this game, as well as the BRB, at least BRB had been punished, but people just wont shut up, despite the game is a meh, 'bad' and 'broken'are strong words... they dont even know how to clarify 'meh' and 'broken'
Sonic Boom was horrible. But At least they made the fight scenes EPIC!!

Come on why so much hate to the game i personally like it (because in my humble opinion the cartoon saved the game) it has a good story, Lyric has his reasons of being evil, Sonic, Tails, Amy and Knuckles are looking good (except because of that much of sports tape but still look kinda cool) the story the backgrounds are so beatiful and Lyric's Desing is on fire and actually has good character writing (unlike Infinite) and it's more easy to understand than 06, and the music well sound more a movie tha for a videogame (but still it ain't got any rock band in the game but still good music) i wish this game is not that much hated because i'd like a Sonic boom 2 Lyric's revenge.

@@Sonicblurgamer BUT there are the crystals, which are CHAOS Crystals.
Plus Shadow still uses his moves from the mainline games, so that confirms that the concept of "Chaos Energy" is still present in Boom.
I'm gonna use them on my fan animation and they'll be pretty much the Chaos Emeralds from Sonic Superstars, but with different powers. (the Superstars part is just a possible concept, but I will use them to give Sonic two new Super Forms)

Many important team members leaving the company. What would you do? Give me a break dude. See it from the bright side this game does not crash, It`s not nearly as obvious glitchy as 06 you only find glitches via experimentations but even so there are more people who goes through less glitches in boom than in 06. That is of course you`re lying.

Heres how to make the game great.
GIVE THE CHARACTERS THEIR FUCKING ORIGINAL MODERN DESIGNS! Which means no Wacky Leg Day. LEGIT THEY ALL HAVE LONG LEGS!
Keep the bandages for that look for that timeline game whatever. I never played it sooo.
Remove the fucking glitches and shit.
ADD A SECOND FORM FOR THAT FINAL BOSS!
Get Crush 40 for a Super Sonic Beat Down
Don't add the Chaos Emeralds or else it will turn into a REAL modern Sonic game.
