I purchased the YH5000SE separately. Paired with my Woo WA8 tube amp. They pair very nicely. Can't speak on the synergy with the paired amp as the amp isn't available locally.

That’s good to know, I can imagine the warmth of the valves compliments the headphones well!

The best hps I've heard 👌
I only bought the hps as the yh5000 scale very well with higher end gear. I don't think the ha-l7a takes full advantage of what the yh5000 are capable of--it's an all-in-one, after all.

That’s interesting! As I mentioned I find pairing planar magnetically can be tough sometimes- what amp did you have the most success with?

@@InfiniteBaffle I've tried allnic hpa-10000gt, modwright ha300, and crayon cha-1. Allnic was good but not my first choice for pairing, modwright couldn't control the Yamaha's bass well, and crayon was fantastic. Excellent synergy with that.

That’s cool, I’ve never tried any of the allnic stuff, but have heard good things before!

To be fair, of all all-in-ones I've tried so far this one has interested me the most. Minus some handshake issues with my phone but once a song started it was flawless.
I could absolutely live with this amp. Also tried HD800 and MDR-Z1R and both sounded great to me, Susvara was a struggle,
The amp is more interesting than Sennheisers HDV820 or FiiO models to me anyway.
Although Luxman P-750u Mark II was absolutely a night and day step up and taught me that power delivery really matters.

Why you decide not to open the amplifier ???
I mean put pictures at least !!!
I can't see why I will come to this channel for extra information on a product I am thinking about buying... MAKE 5 minutes longer videos WITH LOOK INSIDE and more about the parts inside not just what DAC it has.

Ohh now I saw the rest of the comments... What can I say ?
I did not gave you a comment like this bc I saw that 2 out of 3 were negative. I was thinking that somehow you won't get angry and mad but you will understand that I said truth and truth can help you with getting better... However it is easier to get mad so try not to get mad and give more detailed information on whatever the product you are reviewing. Im not going to press dislike for this tho

I’d never open up the amplifier, I’m more about the sound, and experience, rather than opening up the unit- I wouldn’t even know where to start! Appreciate the feedback though!

Minimum useful information and massive waste of my time, I am sorry but this video is a dislike for me. It's under 10 minutes but already feel like an hour and feel more like a rumbling than an objective analysis.

Sorry you didn’t get what you were hoping for from the video, I appreciate our reviews aren’t very ‘spec heavy’ I like to try and give a more real perspective which I appreciate can be very rambly, it’s the way I prefer my content, do appreciate the feedback though

This is not a review but waste of time, get a review done by someone like iiwi, passion for sound, zeos, wave theory etc. The price seems to be on the higher side and the trend is for affordables.

    • @InfiniteBaffle
      @InfiniteBaffle  Місяць тому

It’s certainly a more ‘casual’ review style, I love the super informative, spec driven nature of reviews like Iiwi’s, but prefer a more ‘real’ style, I think for a lot of people the specs can’t be confusing, but understand what you mean, appreciate the feedback though 👍

@@InfiniteBaffle Do you mean to say people are prepared to spend that amount of $ based on a "casual" review? Looks you are afraid to expose and compare the product with other competitors.

Not afraid, more that I wouldn’t want to mislead- I think I have a good ear for listening to equipment, but I’m certainly by no means the most technical, or knowledgable hi-fi enthusiast out there!
