Project Zomboid is an open-world isometric survival horror video game in development by British and Canadian independent developer The Indie Stone. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested world where the player is challenged to survive for as long as possible before inevitably dying.
'Til Death Us Do Part was a story included in Project Zomboid as its own game mode. It served as the tutorial to introduce new players to the basic concepts of Project Zomboid, like base fortification, scavenging, and fending off hostile undead and survivors.
In 2013, 'Til Death Us Do Part was removed from the game, along with NPC survivors, with the release of version RC 2.9, due to NPCs being far too buggy. The Indie Stone did not abandon the story and have stated they still have big plans for NPCs and the story of Bob and Kate. - Ігри

With basements, I'm seriously curious about the elevator shaft in the secret military base... could we pry the doors open, use a rope and go down there? Considering the basements can go down to over 30 floors... I'm hyped. Especially with more looooore!
It is all fun and game until you found the Illuminati ritual in the basement
oh yeah wtf i never even noticed that elevator there. i mean there's no second story to the building so that's clearly foreshadowing by the devs.
I'm pretty sure they explicitly said that specific locations will have unique and static underground locations. I believe they mentioned the military base as an example.

Loved the video! But one thing I love about the new depth buffer, which will allow the game to be more 3D, they haven’t shown any gameplay but they said the buffer with allow the player to sit in all four directions
I cant wait to have npcs for the game, they would change the game forever but for good. When i first drove to the military blockade i was very disappointed that there was nobody but only zombies. I thought there were soldiers guarding there, cause i already was there before it got overrun. I hope that there really will be military guarding the blockade, and i mean the entire fence which goes from the river to the end of the map in the southeast. At least as long as its officially not overrun. As far as i know there even will be real npc stories you can follow and they really do their own thing.
Yeah, and that's one of my negative criticisms for the game. We have mods that allow human NPCs, so why can't we have official human NPCs? I mean, the current update is like "We have added more end game padding without it feeling necesearry". Especially without human NPCs. Because what the fuck should I do with all of the food, water, building material, crafting components, medical supplies and other stuff once I'm all set?
@@balazscsotai8354 True. Well i think the npcs are very complex and thats the reason why they are not in the game, yet. I really hope that it doesnt take ages until they finally are implented. One annoying thing about them could be that npcs will eat and drink up all your supplies lol :D There should be an option on how much food and water they need. It really would be cool anyway to have npcs walking or even driving arround the map and you know that there is something going on. I just wonder how they manage this cause the cells always have to be loaded first from yourself until something "can" go on. In my opinion the game engine is very outdated, at least i feel so.
@@balazscsotai8354 the current roadmap is Build 42: Crafting and Balance, Build 43: NPC Stage 1, Build 44: Intermediate Update, Build 45: NPC Stage 2, Build 46: Intermediate Update, Build 47: NPC Stage 3, Build 48: Polish. There is probably more Builds to come after 48 but we are less than 10~ Builds from the game being finished if I had to guess.

I'm pretty sure, their plan is to devote all their focus into ai once the foundations are built

hope they don’t overdue it. this just makes everything even more complicated, on top of the hard to learn at the start mechanics. i’m 500 hours in and have lasted months now, and i’ve learned it’s complexity’s perfect.
farming taking real time equivalent to grow just means 99% of players won't live to even see their crops lol

Lettuce, spinach and turnips i remember being 30 days.
Most other vegetables i can see it being a huge shore, as they range from 40 to 120 until harvest time.
The game is not hard, the game is is too simple as is, it desperately needs more content.
@@dad9789 i agree, it may be simple once you have 500 hours. but the basics mechanics are hard to pick up on. what’s needed isn’t all this BS. they need better late game content.
Whenever I think of Build 42 I always question myself "I wonder if Military Research Lab will also have basement"

one thing i really want to see is advanced weapons that require parts from multiple skills, encouraging groups to cooperate.
like, you COULD make a crossbow entirely out of steel, but there are many parts that don't need to be strong and steel would just make it heavier and handle worse. you'd need to get your woodworking friend to fletch you a stock to reduce weight, stuff like that.
I imagine that's exactly how some things will work.

Since they're making crafted weapon's durability split into parts: I think they might add bayonets to guns??? As they could have the bayonet durability separate from the gun's durability.

I really want them to fix desync on multiplayer more than anything else
I'm happy to hear that the new update will have a massive performance improvement, that and the new height and depth limit for the maps along with the map being "infinite" if you reach the limits of the in-game map
now it would make sense if they released it between july 1-9 🙏

Modders will really enjoy making mods for build 42, so my pc can burn into ashes.
I'm pretty sure that when the animal update is released, there would be a mod that adds NPC and it also works in multiplayer since the current limitations of the NPC mods is it doesn't have a way to send the actual coordinates, storage and attributes to other players so when the update gets releases, the modders will trick the system that it has an animal called a human while utilizing the method on how the animals walk in the map and interact and you got a recipe for an actual AI NPC in zomboid
The developers are purposely handicapping the animals AI to make sure modders can't make impressive humanoid AI's out of them. It would probably be embarrassing when modders could make way better humanoid mods in 10x the time the actual developers can.
That a good update but what if can allow add voice from TV?
I wish there was a mode where there are limited amount of zombies and a counter so we could extinguish all of them or maybe an antidote and save them.

I have this game for almost 3 years now and I still play it for hours. I think this game is way underrated.
I wish we can have NPC's and Friendly AI neighbors. I didn't like the AI mod it causes error.

You should you won't regret it. Once you know how to play it, next thing you know you're burning hours of hours playing this game :) also dl mods the right one's and you'll for sure have fun.
I just wish they add the ability to grow peanuts, make peanut oil, and use the peanut oil in diesel engines.
I want a pet that will follow you and hunt for food /items in your down time , i want the sit lay down thing to be base game and no need for mod but i suppose this is a start haha 😂

Granted much zomboid first week watch lot videos people bases unstoppable wonder or 2nd story building making 2 story safe wonder how people gonna find ways make basement safe and 2story

i think they have to reduce the base loot because its so hard to start crafting stuff or having animals when you just have a lot of food and tools everywhere
loot doesn't respawn so this wouldn't be a problem for long-term games
guess I'll just wait another -few- years or so for npcs
I just want to play this game stable cause my pc is a good rig but after playing the game like 1 hour it drops to 30-40fps. :-|
