I moved to SC about 10 years ago, but lived south of Jacksonville for 30+ years. This year is bring back memories of 2004 with the back to back to back hurricanes. We didn't have any damage, but all the stress of watching the storms develop, guessing where they would hit, how much damage & using my school as a shelter for not only our county, but for LEO'S families from South Florida. Prayers for everyone impacted by Milton🙏🙏🙏
Now that I’m living eight hours north of Corpus Christi, TX; I love saying goodbye to the 90° temperatures in October, sitting outside early morning with a blanket, cup of coffee, and birdwatching. Then taking a walk to admire the neighborhood’s autumn colored leaves. 🍁 Numbers 1, 2, 3

We have a tradition every first weekend in October… attending Bates Nut Farm for their antique and craft show and picking up our pumpkins along with going into the general store to buy some nuts and treats. We have been going for the last 37 years.

My favorite thing to do in fall is to take rides to see the beautiful fall colors and stop at pumpkin patches. I live in south east Minnesota along the Mississippi river. Its beautiful time of year. I really enjoy watching your youtube. 1,2,3. God watch over your family and keep you safe.

Fall is truly a time of change, my Falls have changed through the years, I have at times in my life sewn Halloween costumes, but now it is gathering candy for the trick or treaters. I love your stitching. Your style and mine are very similar. Fall to me is a time to slow down. Outside work is done and winter work like firewood hasn’t started. I like to sit on my front porch in the cool weather and sip my coffee or hot cider and enjoy the peacefulness. 3

My son lives in Tampa. He was evacuated yesterday. Instead of getting a hotel he drove with his wife, 2 dogs, and cat to stay at my daughters house in North Carolina. I'm glad both my kids are safe. I how you stay safe too. Have you seen the new Plum Street? It's called Real Comfort and it has the biggest house ever. I fell in love and ordered it. I haven't received it yet but I think it will be a new start a soon as it arrives. I love going on fall hikes with my dog to see the changing leaves. Even though my kids are older, I still go to the Pumpkin patch. Also, I love decorating for the holidays, and autumn is the start of that for me. 1, 2, 3

When the kids were little, I loved going to farms for pumpkin picking (or apple) and I ran a Halloween party at our church (that was a lot of work but so worth it). Now that the kids are all older (we only have two left at home) I love going disc golfing in the fall because we are out in the crisp air and get to see all the fall colors. 1, 3

I love your stitching boxes! When you showed the Halloween box before, I loved that little tin box and I just had to find it. I found one but it's smaller and it arrived this weekend. But I still love. You are such an influence on my purchases as I've said before but it's all good. Hoping you and your family will be safe and I'm praying you. i know we have a lot of stitchers in Florida. Stay safe. My sister and I do a big garden. I enjoy going to the orchard and then canning and freezing the harvest. Our tomatoes didn't do very well, so I bought 20 lbs at a local market. I have put up 11 pints of tomatoes and I made applesauce. Some for eating and some for freezing. We also freeze our peppers. I bought some pie pumpkins. I like to cook and puree them so that I can have fresh pumpkin bread in the Winter. I love the crisp air and falling leaves. 3

My favorite thing to do in the Fall 🍁🌾 is to yet all warm and cozy making 🍲 soup, bread and all the things that smell of pumpkin pie spice , apple cider, etc. However, I no longer eat sugar, flour, etc., haven't for 6 years now . Still i love that coziness.
