Sikhism was influenced by the Bhakti movement and Vaishnava Hinduism. However, Sikhism was not simply an extension of the Bhakti movement. Sikhism developed while the region was being ruled by the Mughal Empire. Two of the Sikh gurus - Guru Arjan and Guru Tegh Bahadur, after they refused to convert to Islam, were tortured and executed by the Mughal rulers. The Islamic era persecution of Sikhs triggered the founding of the Khalsa, as an order for freedom of conscience and religion. The final living Guru, Guru Gobind Singh established the Khalsa order (meaning 'The Pure'), soldier-saints. The Khalsa upholds the highest Sikh virtues of commitment, dedication and a social conscious.

Gurugobind Singh called himself an idol breaker and who annihilated idol worshippers in a letter to Aurangzeb. This is recorded in zafarnama in dasam granth😂

You read zafarnama, very much part of dasam granth where GGS has wrote letter to aurangzeb giving clarifications that GGS has annihilated idol worshippers and he broke idols. The sword having image holds no importance.

On that same zafarnama guru govind singh Maharaj is praising beauty of Aurangzeb. If u don't understand that's your loss. The word used in it was boot shikast not but shikan which is translated as one who doesn't believe in murti worship. Also don't forget that was a diplomatic letter in which the guru was trying to get Aurangzeb in a guilt trap. Unknowingly you are saying guru made beadbi bcoz desecration of others belief is not permissible in sikhi

These people are blind, they know nothing of Gurus wisdom just want to prove that Guru was a part of Sanatan Dharm. This is a good video but it's still not wholistic. He did not address many things:
1. Some of the argument by the "Sikhs are not hindu" crowd were not addressed along with some quotes from the Sikh holy scripture.
2. He glossed over the Sikh "riots" very fast. He did not stop to ask if they should even be called "riots" if government elected politicians are directly involved in the violence and voter IDs are used to identify people to kill. The scale and brutality of the violence compared to what was happening in Punjab. The generally apathy and the justifications given in its defence.
3. It seems he completely absolves the rest of India and the central government for the extremism in Sikhism today. The fact is when you commit such atrocities and don't give justice, or even address, what happened in 84, then obviously people will... not like you, and the people who will talk about it are going to be extremists. Unlike the majority, which is everywhere and sets the narrative, minorities feel excluded, especially something like that happens. That has created more extremists than any one leader. He does not address the need for addressing this issue properly from the Indian side!
I like Pathania, but he seems a little biased and accusatory in his approach. People should really look for solutions if they want to stop the divide, otherwise this will continue to go the way it is going.
Bhai in 1984 that is called RIOTS because Hindus were also killed in Punjab... Trains and Buses were stoped and people were asked to show their ID's and check which one is hindu... So people were killed both sides and that's why it's a RIOT... not a genocide as most of the people want you to believe...

Government (Indian government) was directly involved through politicians and some police officers in the killing of innocent people using their voter IDs to find where they live, across India, especially in the capital. That's not a RIOT in any way, that planned killing!!
