1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted
2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik
3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak.
4) You dont want to worship idols - no problem. You can focus on Nirguna Brahman.
5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc. are core Hindu schools.
6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it.
7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure !
8) You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead.
9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest.
10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti tradition . ( bhakti- devotion)
11) You don't like idea of Bhakti ! No problem. Do your Karma. Be a karmayogi.
12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy.
13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - jai ho ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic !
14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship).
15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy
16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan.
17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study !
18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped.
19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism!

20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival.
Don't worry. One more festival is coming! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year.
21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu.

This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!!
There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell -" Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah"- Let the knowledge come to us from every direction.....

In short, there are no legs to stand, no principles, no morals. Anything goes. A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything... This is exactly why there is no such thing as Hindu religion. It's not even a consistent way of life.

Thats cz Hindu scriptures were written by men. They never claimed it as word of God so they had liberty of writing their subjective experiences.When men make religion they got no authority to make rules or restrictions so yes hinduism/sanatan is basically an umbrella term not a religion.Where u can add/remove upgrade according to ur own wish.Good for u.

Are these lines making sense if we consider Chandi as a Sword here

Yes, In that Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji talks about Goddesses Chandi war against Asura's which is part of Sri Dasam Granth Bani. But talking about someone and praising them for their courage and worshipping someone is totally different things. Guru ji not only talks about Goddesses Chandi in Sri Dasam Granth but also other Gods and Goddesses such as Lord Ram and Sri Krishan, so that Sikhs can understand about them in their native Punjabi language. Guru ji named his sword Chandi and said that like how once Chandi protected people and slayed evil, With sword in his hands he also do same thing, protect weak and kill evil.

@Rajdeep Singh The above Line of Bhaguati is from Chandi di Vaar which is again written by Guruji in Dasam Granth and is a devotional composition to Goddess Chandi. So word Bhaguati here is Punjabi distortion of Word Bhagwati which is a sanskrit word meaning Goddess. Chandi di Vaar and Chandi Charitr are both devotional compositions dedicated to Goddess chandi and are written by Guruji in Dasam Granth. Guruji has explicitly mentioned in Chandi Charitr that he is taking this composition from Markandey Puraan and transplanting it in local dialects. While Chandi Charitr is written.in Braj dialect , Chandi di Vaar is written. In Punjabi so that is why word Bhagwati is used in its Punjabi version as Bhagauti..So please read them yourself. I can give you more proofs from Chandi Charitr and Chandi di Vaar that these are compositions on Goddess Chandi
@Rajdeep Singh Another Lines from Dasam Granth "Dasam Katha "Bhagaut" ki bhakha diyo banaye, aur vasna mohe nahi, Dharam yudhh ka chaahe" If Bhagauti means a sword then please tell me what is the meaning of word "bhagaut" in above lines. Also tell meaning of above lines. I can tell you my understanding on it, Word Bhagaut here is the male version of word bhagauti, just as in Hindi it's Bhagwan and Bhagwati,..So here Dasam Katha Bhagaut ki means that Tenth Story of the God (Bhagwan). So word Bhagauti is feminine form of Bhagwaan which is means a Goddess.
@Rajdeep Singh If you consider Bhagauti as a sword then meaning of the lines "Pratham Bhagauti Simar k..." is to do simran of a Sword before remembering Guru Nanak Devji. So that means you need to pray to a metallic non living sword before remembering your Guru. Can you consider a Non Living thing above your Guru ?? Obviously No. So meaning of Bhagauti here is not a Sword but is Goddess.

Dharma is not mazhab. Our civilisation is knowledge based. Guru Nanak was a seaker him self he traveled across the continent to the highest places of learning to seek knowledge about beliefs, culture and scriptures.
According to Guru Nanak, with time something gets outdated in our culture which we should leave it, in every culture there is something to learn we should accept it, this is a timeless philosophy of Guru Nanak.

Puneet ji is a light in dark times. I wish more folk had his courage and knowledge. Wish him a very long and productive life! As an Indo-Canadian, I've watched with growing alarm as sections of Sikhs in Canada have become not just anti-India but virulently anti-Hindu in recent years. One of my Sikh friends who lives in a major Canadian city, stopped going to the gurudwara because he noticed constant hate speech against "Hindus", and my friend didn't want his children exposed to such nonsense. Unfortunately the radical voices are usually louder and angrier, so they seem stronger. However, let's hope and pray that mature, peaceful, intelligent and inspiring voices like Puneet ji are actually more prevalent. Sat Sri Akal & Jai Hind.

It is worse than that, after Guru Gobind Singh created Khalsa, he appointed Banda Singh Bahadur as its commander. Banda was a very able commander, he soon created a huge Khalsa rule in Punjab and Haryana. Mughals played their dirty trick and started spreading disinformation against him, which resulted in breakup of Khalsa and as a result Tat Khalsa was created. Till then Sikhs would worship Hindu Avatars but Tat Khalsa claimed to worship Akal Purukh because they wanted to please Mughals that they also worship a formless monotheistic God like Allah. After Mughals killed Banda, they had no need for Tat Khalsa and killed them too and ordered all Sikhs to be killed in Mughal empire as a result no Sikh was left in Mughal empire, who ever was left was posing as non believing Hindu. After this Marathas invaded Delhi and killed the Mughal emperor Faruksayer and then only could Sikhs come out in open and grow again. But Tat Khalsa was also recreated and they corrupted the Sikhi again and betrayed Marathas and then betrayed Sikh empire and later they again corrupted Sikhi with the help of McAuliffe

Man! , You have such a in-depth knowledge and nobody get this truth without Divine's intervention. Keep it up. World needs you. The core essence of all holy scriptures is absolutely same ,but when we drifts from understanding of holy words then what left, its unholy just to fulfil worldly greed. I don't believe that British done something wrong because they were here to rule ( when we talk about rule , by hook or crook somebody want to Rule only.)It was bad in terms of our people, who just sidelined the sages words and ready to raise the walls in their own houses.

He is so familiar with Sikh history and scripture except for right here where he couldn't be more wrong. Guru Nanak is God, this is written in the Vaars of Bhai Gurdas 'ik akal purkh, duja rababi mardana' "One [Guru Nanak] was the Deathless God Himself, the other was the musician Mardana".
Has Guru Nanak Claimed himself God??? Shows how Abrahm thoughts are crept into your mind...In India deciples can give their Guru status of God that does not necessarily means that Guru was an actual God especially because no spiritual Guru from Bharat ever claimed that he is God or Son of God..
@@omashankar8290 In the Aad Granth it is specified that that what came in duapar as Ram also came as Krishan in treta, now in the Kalyug is known as Nanak, Angad, Amar Das etc. This is not a disciple simply eulogizing a saint with high praise. Rama of Treta, Krishna of Dwapar can never be Nanak of Kaliyuga. In Kaliyuga it's Kalki who takes birth as 24th and last Avatara of Narayana in a house of Vaidika Brahmanas in this Vaivaswata Manvantara not any Gurus of Sikhism. We Hindus have a problem when you people start claiming your first Guru as avatara of same God who took avataras such as Rama, Krishna in previous Yugas. The God who took forms such as Rama and Krishna always upheld and protected Vaidika Dharma unlike your Guru Nanak who not only refuced to undergo the ceremonies described in the Shastras but also along with his 9 successors made many Vaidika Kshatriyas and Brahmanas deviate from their Svadharma as advised by Parabrahma in the form of Sri Krishna in Bhagavad Geetha. We can not respect anyone who don't have any respect for Vedas and Vaidika Dharma. Punjab was, is and will always be sacred land of our great ancestor Vaidika Rishis and Kings no matter how many fraudulent Nastikas try to usurp it from us.

Akal purukh is a concept of purush prakriti from samkhya darshan. Akaal or mahakal means which is beyond time and space. Which is beyond the limitations of body and bundle of nerves. How can Sikhs say that akal purush is a separate concept? In Punjabi purush is called as purakh. Are we so blind to see this? Akal purush means nirgun nirakaar Brahm. Brahm means ever expandinng and whatever is infinitely expanding is not limited by time or kaala. Actually a common man is not interested in reading or learning about any religion, not even their own. They just want to remain sheep to be guided by religio-political leaders so that they don't have to do any work. We the common people are too lazy, selfish and money minded.

Tatt Khalsa was created by the adopted son of Mata Sundri by a person called Ajit Singh. Ajit singh became an Mughal stooge and was forcing Banda Singh Bahadur to bend knee to Mughals. When Banda refused, they defamed him and refused any support to him as a result Banda was captured and killed along with his family. Ajit Singh himself was killed by Mughals when he became too arrogant. Later Tat Khalsa became Singh Sabha and were British stooges, they them engineered the sikh separatism as part of British "Divide and rule" policy.

It is then GURU GOBIND ji became GURU GOBIND SINGH ji. It was by GURU GOBIND SINGH ji who gave us the name Singh and Kaur. That’s the difference of name comes from before 1699 and after. It's very clear that guru nanak insisted nirgun nirakar bhakti of akal purush or Brahm. Akal and Brahm are same. they mean Beyond time. Akaal, mahakaal, Brahm are all same. Guru Gobind Singh needed energy to fight with Mughals so he took strength from ma bhagwati Durga or Chandi like gorkhas of Nepal worship mahakali before fight. Sikhism is a panth not a separate religion.
