I have switched to vantage almost entirely. With practice and experimentation I have achieved almost identical results with vray and vantage. There are however some limitations in vantage at the moment but the quality cannot be differentiated. Render time is absolutely unbelievable. vantage takes a minute and vray almost 30 mins for the same scene. even at medium settings you still see a ten times difference in render time. So for me vantage is the clear winner and I wish it resides inside of the modelling software like vray or if they have to make it a separate software then should be standalone with all light and material controls like lumion or twinmotion. This way, there will be no reason to use anything other than vantage. For me at least, Vantage is a life saver.
@VizAcademyUK please keep using it. The render time is insane and quality is almost the same. there are workarounds to vantage limitations but it's totally worth it. This is the future.
@@aleguerra87 Yeah I did try d5 as well. The quality is amazing and boy is it fast! I felt that it has a lot of potential but probably since I am not familiar with it as much as I am with vray, I couldn't achieve the results I was looking for in terms of quality. Vantage belongs to the same universe (vray universe) so I quickly learnt it and within a few months if not weeks, I achieved results very close to vray. Nobody could tell if I was not using vray anymore the images look almost exactly the same sometimes even better because the realtime responsiveness of vantage makes tweaking easier.
Have you ever experienced crashes with Corona 12 using IR? As soon as I use it, 3ds max becomes very unstable and provoques crashes with whatever, moving objects, edit materials, undo actions, etc, it doesnt even matter if im not using it.
@@VizAcademyUK No its not, I have 128 gb, the scenes are very simple, also I have Displacement turned off, I have already submited alot of tickets to Chaos but no response, v12 has a lot of issues
@@RTstudioArchviz In that case there is a chance that some specific elements in your scene are causing that, sometimes it can be a bad proxy, unusual material, or something as simple as faulty texture. If it happens in all of your scenes I would start from cleaning all traces of corona from PC. Reinstalling Vray, and Corona in that order. If that wont help I would go +1 and tested different max version. In some rare cases crashes like that can happen due to bad sectors on ram.
Can I ask a question? ? When rendering, I often encounter large floor-to-ceiling windows. The light near the windows will be very strong and exposed. How can I solve this problem? I also encounter long apartments, and it is difficult for light to enter, causing the middle part of the room to be very dark, and it is difficult to balance the brightness of the room. . Can you make a video to explain it together? ? Thank you
Corona seems to advocate that the CPU is faster and better, most would disagree if you just look at Epic's development. It seems that the development in Vantage is a directive from chaos. But correct me if I am wrong.
@@VizAcademyUK that is a bit strange, have you open unrel 5.5 yet? .becasue I find the UI very easy and dynamic to navigate, remember that you also have vfx, archviz, and much more tools to play with. is not just a real time rendering engine you can just click, drag and render. is very advanced, if you want a vantage or d5 similarities. Twinmotion is getting stupid GOOD for archviz, but i hear you unreal 4 UI was horrible.....
While very strong competitors around it continue to make constant tangible updates, it is inconceivable that the chaos team develops this software at turtle speed.
@ritimdizayn Nothing is perfect yet, unfortunately.. There is not yet a single rendering program that you can rely on completely without compromises.. time.. money.. effort... the issue is purely commercial.
@ibdesign8207 yes, I don't know if you enter the vantage forums, but they have something called development according to a vote. I look at the forums a lot, they promised some issues 4 years ago, the year 2024 is still among our plans :D
Good content... very realistic about the good and bad things about vantage.
Thanks for the tutorial 😍🥰
This is a good tutorial which I looking for. Thank you so much, Mike!!!
Glad to hear that!

It indeed is great and It convinced me a little bit

Hey what you think about D5 Render, have testing for some time and the live sync with max are interesting.

@@aleguerra87 Hi we made a video on it, pretty good but wont make me switch yet.
39:45 you can save the config and load later in the new livelink without problems
send this video to chaos group and say "Look how you are truly chaos this is "

Hey this might be due to low amount of ram, if your scene is too complex or you are using too dense displacement it might crash.

I prefer unreal engine but vintage still in the works..
Unreal surely has loots to offer, but I just cant get over how backwards the UI and rules in it are.

@@mae2309 I played with UE5 ui, not the 5.5 I think I will have to revisit it then. Cheers :)
chaos cosmos does not exist in live connection
I noticed that much, but I swear I saw it earlier!
No problem, you guys are great for corona.
after all of that uninstall vantage 😂😂 .. Disappointing

3ds max sometimes act like bullshit things, not reason for why and what.... just disaster
