I’ve always loved Makarova as a superlative dancer, where her wit flashed through her characters from time to time. And I’ve also enjoyed the documentaries she’s participated in, as well as those she’s done by herself, bc her intelligence and artistry, along with her personal style, make everything she does noteworthy and an event. She’s hilariously honest, obviously!

She is a graceful, divine, angelic lady of oh-so many talents... And that's kind of what ballet does to you... If you can do ballet, you can literally do anything... Any other form in the world--be it acting or other, more basic sports... are easier than falling off a log. And notice... she didn't need a script here, at least not someone else to write one for her. She seems so captivating, so enchanting... The kind of lady you just really want to know, you desperately need someone like this in your life... Makarova can do it all, and did... Damn her, she still does...

After you pass your teenage years, your accent won’t change too much. And thank God, because her beautiful Russian accent is lovely to hear. How sweet and funny she is here; I’d never seen this clip of Ms. Makarova before! 😄

Accent reduction is a thing. And it's a choice. I never wanted it myself, although I have friends who craved it.

@hellokitty - I think if you look into *who* she thanked, you'll understand *why* she thanked them.
