@wellthatagedwell2716 what if you both recorded your voices individually while also Zoom calling? This way you could have a real time recording of your talk while not having to worry about the connection glitches!
@@AnastasiaPlantlegs good idea, but I do not think that would have helped in this case as it was her wifi that was affected because, (as explained above), there was a storm in her end sl I don’t know how much that would have helped. Unfortunatley as well I have no idea how to edit, and cannot afford an editor so far because I don’t make money from this podcast yet. (I rather have lost plenty of money from all the books I bought for the podcast. Which I have no regret in he, he!). But I am doing this mainly just for fun, and hopefully others learn from it as well. You should be able to hear what she had to say just fine though, even though the video is a wee bit disorted

We don't treat women like second class citizens today and they didn't in the past(not anymore than we do with men anyway lol). We treat men and women differently because men and women are different in terms of preference, ability and needs...and in the past had distinctly different roles due to necessity. Also men have had the same pressures when it comes to beauty ideals as woman have, the ideals are just different(aka for men it's _always_ been to be ripped, unless you're rich af then you should be so fat that you die early :V). It's such a massive cope that men have had it better or easier in the past than women and is *only* slightly correct if you compare the top _1% of men_ to _all women_ and on top of that ignore all the negatives that are exclusive to men, like dying from disease while marching during wars...or dying at the hands of the enemy in wars...or dying at your job due to work hazards...or dying early due to working yourself to death...or dying because you're forced to defend the honor of your family...or dying from an infection due to some random wound while doing all those and/or while out hunting etc, etc. Zzzzz.
I agree with some of your points, but women have definitely been treated as second-class citizens even up to recent history where women didn't have the right to vote, own property, or generally have agency over their own lives, etc. -- even when compared with men in their own social class. Here are just a few other examples from history: In the most pure version of the traditional English common law, rules included the following - • Upon marriage, all property of the married woman became property of her husband, for which the husband had sole authority to manage. • A married woman could not enter into binding contracts except for "necessities", and could not enter into executory contracts (i.e. contracts to be performed in the future). • A husband had a right to physically discipline his wife. • Adultery was a crime and wives were generally the ones most likely to be prosecuted for it.
weirdly adversarial comment… but I get where you’re coming from because of the ubiquity of that analysis of the past that feels kind of anachronistic, because medieval people thought of gender differently. Don’t you dare insult eleanor janega though, or I might have to be one of those “defending honor” against your disparagements…
