I had a 40th Anniversary Bullitt and a 2009 Shelby GT500. But this car video, like most current videos, puts music and narration all over what I what to hear - the engine. Yes, you hear it in this vid, but not nearly as much as you should. Let us hear it burburble the way it will at stoplights. Let us hear it's mid-range. Let us hear it! And stop the choppy editing. The longest continuous shots are of the road coming at us - great, but would rather see the car at full song, not the pavement. Rather see the car t h e s a m e w a y ! I guess this is a promo for kids who grew up playing video games, were quite good at them, and now have nano-second reflexes (good) and attention spans (not so good).
Love my Bullitt!! I’ve owned numerous 911 and M3 cars over the years but none of them captured attention and numerous “very cool car” comments like the 2019 Bullitt. It’s really a special car. Best part is you’ll hardly see one around which makes them even more attention grabbing! Its beautiful and timeless lines, unique and awesome exhaust notes, and no badges on the car only magnify the attention this car gets. It’s been unbelievable. I was not prepared for this. However, I got the Bullitt for me and enjoy how young it makes me feel, taking me back to my younger years staring at those 60s/70s muscle cars. The emotional engagement with driving my Bullitt and all the wonderful feelings it gets out of you is something else. It puts smiles on people’s faces without the stigma and judgemental comments from others compared to my previous cars. The Bullitt is not a pretentious car and simply is a “very cool car” as many strangers have told me. Nothing like the Bullitt out there! I feel blessed owning and driving this special machine.
Love my Bullitt. First Mustang too! Whether driving fast or just cruising around town; more giggles per gallon than anything I've driven. People balk at the price, but you can't drive a bankbook and last time I checked there are no hearses with luggage racks, so enjoy life while you're here. You just never know... great video!
The thing about the American V-8 is that you can hate and look down upon it all you want, that is until you get inside one and experience it. They’re just plain fun.
I think you never drove something better, that's all. Yeah sure your ears bleed because of the loudness of the thing, but it's all show and no go. Typically american if you ask meh
Tim Frolov Hard to believe people with your mindset still exist considering how easy it is to see comparisons among cars. Are you European? Is it just arrogance? Anyways, I think you’ve never been inside an American V-8 like this. As for my personal experiences, I grew up with a dad for had an affinity for Porsche and Benz, so I’m familiar with Germany’s way of doing things. American cars are far more fun. Considering the track times test even standard Mustang GT and Camaro SS put up, keeping up or beating many higher priced sports sedans/coupes from Europe, it’s pretty clear that American cars can turn. At the higher trim levels, these cars start catching up to, or besting, true high end European sports cars on the track, while still being tens of thousands of dollars cheaper.
Plenty of go. My 19 Bullitt has magnaride suspension with a ford racing upgrade. M9602M springs, sways, flash for the computer. Extremely fast on the corners. Flat, o body roll, but full travel. Have a H pipe where the front resonator was. The car is loud, and fast. Perfect!
@@timfrolov7891 curious on your stance now that the ZR1 is a thing. As a vehicle dynamics engineer that works with many European and American cars I can confidently say your comment is pretty misinformed.
I had to turn off the fan because I was getting chills. I have been to Ireland and I can tell you one thing, the roads are beautiful. Still would like to visit the island itself.
@NitroLPR9 For some of the shots I am not sure if the sound was modified and pulled in from other sections of the video but for this engine you really want to keep the revs higher. Some of the sections where he is coming around a hairpin the RPMs are way too low for a good exit launch. Probably 2500-3500+ would be ideal although you can break traction really quick if the tires aren't warm. Even if they are warmed up its still sometimes iffy. Fun car. If you really want an engine you can wring out, this is the first one I have ever driven where I got surprised when I hit the redline. It goes, and goes, and goes and never feels like its pushing itself too hard until suddenly it cuts you off. Quite shocking when it happened but you learn to pay more attention to it.
Must be an epic feeling to drive that historic road/track, and to do it in American muscle. Very nice. Car sounds great. Would do long tubes and leave the stock exhaust. I love an in-block cammed motor, but I do love the 4 valve/4 cam sound exhaust.
Wow what a car and what a sound from the exhaust and with a speed of about 160 mph and to top it off it's right hand drive and looks so nice I want one
Looks great and sounds great. What a shame some complete and utter idiot decided that the clip needed some whiny music and snapping of fingers in the background.

Awesome video. I would love to be able to do similar videos but in america we have these things called speed limits. LOL guess I just need to speed up the video LOL!
So help me out here. In the British Isles everyone drives on the right side of the car. But what about the shifter. Does it remain with the traditional H or in this case double H pattern with first being forward and on the left? It seems almost unnatural to upshift 2 to 3 and downshift 3 to 2. If that is the case, then shifting a manual trans. in Britain would be the hardest part of driving a car there( if you're not from there of course).

These cars are now sports coupes and stand scrutiny against European and Japanese cars of a similar type in all areas except fuel economy and luxury/material quality (in the cabin especially).
