@SmallWorldBigThings If you say so
@@SmallWorldBigThings Because it's a mix of great design and great instrument? Yes the price point do not reflect what it can do. But you can argue it reflects the design. Because the design can cost whatever they want.
@@Softlol Non of these for me... but I suppose much depends on a personal taste :)
Being of Germanic heritage I feel I need this when it comes on down in price or I get a lot higher🙃
The 2030 Agenda groovebox.
Not saying its not expensive for what it is, but to put things in prospective, you can find pianos that cost 10x what this does. I know people that have spent more on cymbals for their drum kit.
Those will last forever and aren’t made of plastic trash
@@xkidmidnightxThese are made of metal as well, and my OG OP-1 has been going strong for well over a decade now.
What a stupid comparison. Really dumb.
@@xkidmidnightxplastic lol. Maybe touch a teenage engineering device before you comment on it 😂
The piano won't be a tiny plastic box that costs 30$ to manufacture.
I am sorry. I admire them but a nice iPad + controller with case is betterer I think.
Not everyone likes tapping a touchscreen though. I love the option of recording on an iPhone or iPad, but it’s also nice to have an all in one device like what teenage engineering is doing. It’s nice to tap some keys
I agree. It’s just too expensive for what it is I think.
iPad and Drambo
is the whole vibe of this channel hacky grouchy takes?
The OP shit is cool, but the pricing is absolutely horrible. You could get a used mpc one and mk2 for half that and have a much better setup going. They definitely have the "apple effect" where people will buy it regardless of how much of a ripoff it is 😂
@5:57 Mewing chad 😂
But seriously, I really consider this demo unique.
I really liked the possibilities of the OP-Z sequencer. The OP-XY looks promising, but at what cost, unfortunately! And honestly, didn’t you also feel, like me, that all the UA-cam videos of the OP-XY mostly showcase mediocre music? I haven’t heard anything yet that makes me want to dive in. This is also a comment that applies to the OP-Z, which, despite its punch-in capabilities, often results in mediocre music, particularly in terms of synthesis quality. Take Cuckoo, for example-his music doesn’t inspire me.
6:11 "It's very IDM"
What the heck is IDM about that?
Insufferable Decadent Malarkey
@@sinduda
The best kind of malarkey!
still worth it in 2025?
You really need to go out if that vid from TE was "out there" to you
And you need to shut your dumb ass up
True tho, has he ever seen a cologne and haha
YOU DONT GET WHAT THE PROBLEM IS! its us. were not normal people bying this stuff. to many options makes us die. let alone if they are for free. please let me pay for just one knob doing everything. speeakimg of wich: does waves have some black friday offers up? 😂
''this guy has been practicing mewing'' 😂😂
He overmewed, looks silly
or practiced being stung by a bee
7:34 Doesn’t run Doom :(
The demo isn’t idm…😂
I think the website geo targeting is off and you are getting the German version. That DAF reference in the video is too euro hipster trash for American eyes.
You can get a MacBook pro with Ableton and logic pro 😂😂
Which do not fit in your pocket.
@ yeah but you can make much wider variety of music... And you can actually see every parameter in detail
@@kond1eyou can do the same with this. Its literally designed to make music. Its not for everyone but some people find this creative process much better than a mouse and screen
@ fair point
