Had the rare opportunity to see her take off in the Netherlands last month and I was truly blown away by this majestic beauty!! A once in a life time experience!!
Still amazes me that the Antonov even though it’s the 124 can still get off the ground such a cool plane and so big and super heavy glad I could see it live great video Kevin always happy to see a plane like this at LAX such a cool looking plane to wish I could’ve been at LAX to see it in person with you
Well they said 3 pm pst. Was early arrival as well. What an amazing catch for AVL. What a great couple of weeks of plane spotting. ❤️LAX plane spotting. 😊
After today's Vandenberg Launch (5/28/24) I think it was ESA's EarthCare sattellite coming from Belgium, stopping at LAX for customs, otw to VSFB. But I'm not sure.
We have one in Toronto Ontario sitting for one and a half years on the tarmac at Toronto international airport. Apparently it’s not allowed to leave Toronto. Confiscated?
Saw one of these for the first time a couple months ago, it sat at the end of the runway for at least a minute before spoiling up. Similar thing here, I guess that’s common?
@@charliechristmas5147 no, aircraft plant is in Kyiv Ukraine. AN225 was built in Kyiv and was completely destroyed by russian rocket near Kyiv Mykolaiv holds the line in the war against Russia
This was not the larger Antonov-AN which I believe was destroyed in the current Ukraine war. That plane was more impressive in size and power. Had six engines.
I've seen one take of from a military base in Singapore that at least had a decent load on board; it took the whole runway to get off the ground. That one was clearly empty, nothing exciting there...yawn!!!

Her departure looked absolutely amazing, what a roar! Just perfect Kevin! Thanks for capturing her both days!
That was amazing to see Antonov taking off from LAX today Kevin ❤️❤️

Stunning departure! Thanks for coming out to catch this for us to all enjoy!
Great to see it live!
Wow. What a short take off for such a heavy plane. Amazing.
Loved every second! First time viewing the AN for me and I think it’s spectacular. TY
Antonov AN-124 & Airbus A380! 😍😍😍 That was an awesome sight! Wish i could see them in person...
is right!!! She's a beauty ♥Antonov♥
Awesome to seeing the Antonov AN-124 takeoff at LAX Kevin. Hopefully we will see you again soon. ❤
That’s was awesome. I haven’t seen this plane in a long time. It is huge but to take off a smooth landing was smooth. Hello, Captain. Thanks, Kevin .
Younger Sister Back Again!
AVL delivers
Impressive! I never even knew there was a smaller version. Good to know!
Just landed at Kernnedy space center Florida 10 39 Eastern
I was there Kevin! It was awesome
Awesome take off!!
Amazing shots! I love all you content and a big fan ❤
Captain Dmytro Antonov would be proud!!
Wow, what an amazing aircraft!
Imagine being in the cockpit of that plane
Thanks Kevin good job 👏👏👏😎😎✈️😍
How cool is that!? That was awesome!
Beautiful!
Damn. What thrust!
Thanks Kevin!
Awesome Shot
Check out that amazing DHL plane!!! As a DHL employee I am always excited when I see them
Wow! Love that sound! ♥
Oh no! Kevin said "are you ready?"
Thank you very much!🙂👍
Great shots
I saw this at LAX once.
It was parked next to a 747.
Let me tell you, it makes a 747 look like a Cessna.
Kevin, i love your smail!
Great job Mr AVL
WOW !
Just watched it land on flight radar 24 at the NASA Shuttle Landing Facility in Florida!
Definitely the one SpaceX hired then
@@mistertagnan I hadn't thought of that. I assumed since it's Ukranian that it was military related
Man, I wish I knew about this beforehand or I would have gone to LAX to see it. You can see SOFI stadium in the background when it starts its takeoff.
Awesome plane, wonder what they were hauling. Quick turnaround
SpaceX hired an An124 to ferry some MVac nozzle extensions to Florida, maybe those?
Seems this specific aircraft did land at the shuttle landing facility, so it’s most definitely the MVac nozzles

Amazing video!!
Great Soviet airplane 👍❤️
Ukrainian - Antonov design bureau is in Kyīv
@@olgapenina2218 When Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union ..... ??? yes ?? ... no ... ?? I don't know ... tell me pls.
@@eduardoreyes4958 what ‘union’, dear? And - do you need a new keyboard, how long have your ‘?’ key been stuck, sweetie?

So glad not all of them are destroyed
she is a big girl...........BEAUTIFUL BIG GIRL !!!!!!
*Be brave like Mykolaiv" slogan written on the cabin
Mykolaiv it is a city in Ukraine
Is that not the city where these aircraft are built ?
I know the AN225 was destroyed in Ukraine

A spectacular aircraft, for sure! Any idea why it was in LA?
The Soviet Masters of Engineering The ANTONOV!!
I wonder where it's headed and what the cargo is.
Probably MVac engine nozzles for SpaceX. They hired an An124 for an urgent ferry mission out to Florida
Or not? Might be a different one. I’m not sure
Picking up pallets of cash for Volodymir from the Veep, what else?
@@mistertagnan I ask because flightradar24 would not provide any info.
In looking into it a bit more, seems it was definitely the An-124 SpaceX chartered
Espectacular
Why are people so amazed. You can see this plane in Ontario ALL the time.
The Soviets weren't playing when it came to Size ❤
is this your first time seeing the an-124 at LAX?
What route did it fly?
Flew to NASA’s shuttle landing facility to bring SpaceX some MVac engine nozzle extensions
40 second take off roll-it must have been well below MTOW.
How on earth did something that big take off so fast?
Where's the spectacular?? That was just a routine take-off!!!!
45 seconds rotate...wonder what cargo weight was
Why was it here at LAX??!!
Where were they going?
Florida, landed at the Shuttle Landing Facility - most likely was shipping MVac engine nozzles for SpaceX
Is this Aircraft a new one?
Only about 20 of them left in private hands
It's Evil Twin is stuck at YYZ.
She left LAX for Florida and then POS where she is currently parked
How much is the US paying to keep her flying about
I thought that plane had 3 engines on each side.
Looks like s Russian C-5.
About 40 seconds from roll to nose lift
That looks like a boat
WOW 4TH
I tought it had been destroid by the Russian!!??
This was not the larger Antonov-AN which I believe was destroyed in the current Ukraine war. That plane was more impressive in size and power. Had six engines.
C-5A is better imo.
And no one asked what is this plane doing here?
I've seen one take of from a military base in Singapore that at least had a decent load on board; it took the whole runway to get off the ground. That one was clearly empty, nothing exciting there...yawn!!!
Did Zelinsky fled ukraine?
Wonder what they were carring in that plane to Ukraine?🤔
Russians and Ukras built a phenomenal plane
Are there not sanctions in place to stop Russia from flying these 0lanes ?
This was UR-82007, it belongs to Antonov Airlines, an UKRAINIAN Airline (as you could see from the Ukrainian Colours on its Livery).
How can a Russian plane take off from US Soil, it should be impounded / sanctioned
🇺🇦💪
I thought there was only one Antonov and that was bombed in Ukraine...
