- After receiving a lot of comments asking what my drift tune settings were I decided to just make a video of it. Also thought I'll show how to get the best out of your drifts.

This helped me alot, I'm scoring half more than I should instead of not reaching the target.

Man this video helped me tremendously. I switched to manual shifting and I kept my car in 3rd gear for shorter and sharper turns and 4th gear for wider and off-road turns. But what made the most difference was using NOS during the middle of a drift and held it until the end of the drift. Thanks man for the vid

@@xandervic1341 I haven’t played the game in 2 years so I can’t remember how to activate NOS but no, it’s something you get as you play the game. It’s shown on your speedometer by the Blue flame 🔥.

3m+ on drift king?? Yeesh I hit 1.8m earlier today and I was actually proud of myself. Looks like this padawan still has much to learn.
I prefer just a normal break it gives you so much more control of how far the car is moving in to the corners but it does make the angles of the car less sharp , but it feels sooooo much smoother going in to the corners
I'm on a brake from work, played the game casually, finished the story, unlocked some trophies, billboards, coins, roaming racers, then finished jumps, speed traps..... left drifts and BMW 350 000 drift for last. finished like 10 of them with my derelict Bel Air. but some of them were hard. watched your video, already had this Mazda in my garage, upgraded it to cards 18, tuned it and switched to manual transmission and kept driving at gear 4. after that, most of the drifts I finished with one try. there were maybe 5 or 7 that were tricky for me cuz I don't like drifting games and drifting all the time like you, I just don't have the patience. there was one drift in Mount Providence that is short but requires 60 000 that I played over and over and finally got it. after that, changed to BMW and finished that 350 000 run in one try. I played like shit cuz it was night time but still got half million points. thanks man

Which difficulty are you on? Easy? Medium? or Hard? I'm good at drifting, but compared to you, you put my skills to shame! Great vid, but it could be better and more detailed, there are more kinds of drifts. I defeated a drift king almost without using a break or a handbreak. I only use breaks on 2 combined corners that go in to 2 different different directions. Example: 180+ left and then 180+ right. Also try using a nitrous in corners! Could we make a more detailed video together? I also wanna know: How do you overstear so continuously long? And btw if you're bored with nfs, try dirt rally it's way more difficult and different.
Can you film your hand in the same time plz? Because i dont know what to do and when.
This live tuning thing was pretty close what i found to be best for me, 1,500,000 points in drifting the block with 399 rx7 with less than 10 hours to the game. :)

In my op having a ridiculously good accel can help you correct mistakes and get good exits in the corners after doing a four wheel drift

why do u take 6x outlaw? Why u prefer the nos Bonus? I never need so much nitro for drifting, think this is a big waste.
In single player it can be a bit of a waste but it is needed more for online multiplayer to stay in front for the points bonus
yeah i understand what u mean, but in my opinion, i get enough nos from the cards. Bonus from Chidori works better for me :)
areNbee i use outlaw for getting speed so that i can start drifting quicker.

What parameters is more important to improve if we want to choose in tuning up? Higher speed of better brake or higher acceleration or none of them?

Thanks! Manual seems to be better at drifting because with automatic sometimes it will shift to a higher gear which effects the cars drift. Like for example the Mazda RX-7 seems to perform better when you stay in 4th gear but if you have automatic on it will sometimes go into 5th gear which will make the car feel heavy in drifts. I did do a test comparing manual and automatic and I seem to pull out a lot higher scores using manual.

Spoilers and splitters will change the cars handling also does stance. The online Drifting is way different than an event. So beware.

Hi friend please help i new in nfs payback. How to drift and which breaks to use. Break reverse or normal break. And when I use the break and how to continue?. Sorry for my bad English.
Myself I find it depends on the corner, I use the normal break (E Break) for tight corners and the reverse break for more longer not so tight corners. Because you're new to the game it is better to experiment using both breaks to get the right feel for it. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the game :)

Just hit the Handbrake when you turn, do not over do it, keep it to the line.

I heard you say you use manual instead of automatic, was it hard to do that starting out? I’m just thinking of the buttons that’s pulled for acceleration, one thumb to control the car, seems like it would be a hassle and not beneficiary.
Well I used manual on the NFS 2015 game so it wasn't that different when starting out on this game. The only problem I have is when you're using Nos and you need to change gear at the same time I have to use my left hand (which I use to steer) to change gear which can prove a bit of a pain in the arse, I should maybe change the buttons for shifting.....

Yes! I have done it both ways and the camber really helps. There is a sweet spot I found for it too.

I cant hold the car sliding sideways .
It is stabil so fast. Good grip for race.... but here. I turn, handbrake, and keep Gas. But just for Short, because it stabiles so fast.
Not like him in Video. In curve it gets grip, and i drive Into the Wall.
Cant drift harter angle, without having that grip that comes and fucks my drift. He is slyding sideways, and i would get grip and Hit the Wall....
