What a lovely song, I came to this because of my love of Ry Cooder and his past collaborations with the Pahinui family. That little solo of his reminded me of a discussion I had with an old friend no longer with us. He said “ Ry doesn’t play guitar, he plays the music”, I doubt there’s any finer compliment to be paid to any musician. Bla’s singing can perhaps be placed in that context, his emotion can’t be restrained when he starts to sing.
Bradda Blah talented.... my dad played this song they no make music like this anymore!!!! Wish the culture would be more preserved to much hip hop junk...
The music that you "choose" to listen to, is an option! There's Reggae, Techno, Country, Rap, Blues, Soul, Rock.... and so on! I can guarantee you, hip hop isn't the worse....
