With seven strings and a 27” baritone scale, the LTD Deluxe SN-1007HT Baritone allows for serious extended range tuning. This guitar is ready to explore the depths of modern metal while bringing the heat with a sandblasted Fire Blast finish on its swamp ash body. It offers a bolt-on five-piece thin u-shaped roasted maple/purple heart neck. Its Macassar ebony fingerboard is crafted with a compound radius for maximum speed and comfort, and includes 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and is scalloped from frets 17-24. Components on the SN-1007HT Baritone include a 48mm black bone nut, a matte black pickguard, dome control knobs, LTD locking tuners, and a Hipshot hardtail bridge with string thru body. The SN-10007HT Baritone includes a set of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker active pickups (ceramic in the bridge and alnico in the neck), with push-pull control to select voicings and black nickel covers to match this guitar’s outstanding aesthetics. Each pickup offers two voices. With the ceramic bridge pickup, Voice 1 is the ultimate high-output ceramic humbucker bridge pickup tone… crisp, searing crunch, tight bass with no mud, and a growl. Voice 2 delivers modern passive attack performance that has superbly organic distortion characteristics with outstanding dynamics and response. The alnico neck pickup’s Voice 1 is Fishman’s modern active high-output tone, offering the ideal active alnico sound: full, round, and boosted, but with unprecedented articulation and dynamics. Voice 2 gives you the crisp, clean and fluid neck humbucker tone you’ve always wanted.

I truly don't understand why every single superstrat needs to have the volume knob so close to the bridge pickup. It's a fundamental design flaw that gets in the way of the picking hand.

I'm glad someone else has pointed this out. I'll never understand it. I bought a charvel super strat type guitar and I literally had to take it to my tech and have him just get rid of the tone knob and put the volume knob where the tone knob is so its far away from my strumming hand. Every single time I would start to get in a rhythm while playing, my hand would always hit the volume knob and mess things up. The way I have the guitar now is absolutely perfect. Every time a new guitar comes out that is one of the first things I look for now lol...whether or not the volume knob is too close to the bridge pickup.

I know right lol! My son has a Squire Bullet. Whenever I would jam on it...I would notice that the volume was getting lower. Then I realized my hand was turning it down when playing lol.

I like the volume knob there. Allows for easy volume adjustments and swells if you're into that.

It’s so you can ride the volume knob dynamically for a “violin” tone. I wouldn’t want it anywhere else. Everyone doesn’t need to pick wildly, many of us want control.

No need for scalloped frets...otherwise, looks and sounds amazing!
