My first smart watch was an inexpensive generic model. I was able to download a favorite picture of my daughter onto it. Can I do it on Wear OS?
Hey Tony, that's a good question. Yes, you can do it, but with some models it is not that easy. Galaxy Watch can do this in a very easy way.

@@TechMishka I will be getting my Xiaomi Watch S2 soon too.. It just takes quite a few days to get the package shipped all the way from China to Denmark, but hopefulle by the end of this month I'll have it :-)

This is a great idea for a video! I loved it! sadly I think there aren't enough really fully free watch faces that are good (I'm excluding the Facer here I know)
BTW, my favorite, also freemium, is "Marine Digital 2" But I'm a digital watch sucker ;-)

The inspiration to start researching for watch faces was triggered by facer. I often have facer freezing (especially on Pixel) and this is very annoying.
But I have to admit that you are very right to say that it's hard to find good and free watch faces. It was quite a shock to notice that now even with Huawe's watches free watchfaces are harder and harder to get...
@@TechMishka A friend of mine got a Samsung watch 5 last week, and now he can't stop creating some watch faces on Watchmaker, I didn't like their platform compared to Facer, but might be worth a try if you want to create your own (using others cost money there too)

Hello, i know its quite late, but I have a question. I really like "pixel minimal face" but people say it got sold to someone and now it's a scam. The premium version is for 1,25$ per year, it sounds like a scam but this is the most perfect face I could find for my watch. Should I buy it?
There are some similar alternatives. I am not aware of its current state and whether it is a scam or not 🤔

It's the To watch Pro 3 if I remember correctly.
I finally received my Xiaomi Watch S2... The watch looks/feels really good on the wrist, setup/connection was a bit Buffy as the watch currently is only a "Chinese" model, so when signing into the app one has to remember to set the region to China, otherwise the watch will not connect to the app, and therefore will not be usable... The watch charges really quick, and seems pretty easy to use as well...
I just need to figure out how to download 3rd party app to get my favourite watch faces (if it even works) and also updating the watch software was VERY slow.
So now all I have to do is see whether its battery lasts as long as promised, and whether the built in functions actually do work as promised 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@@TechMishka Yes I noticed that Xiaomi had made public that the "global" version was on it's way, but so far it has not been made available in Europe, only the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro is available in the "global" version now, and now also "rumours" that there is a release of a Xiaomi Watch S2 Pro coming up sometime in 2023, but no actul news on the Watch S2 Global version :( ( the talk was that the Watch S2 should be available in a global version along witht the Xiaomi 13 series )
I don't get how people still use or recommend facer in 2023. It is a battery hog and buggy as hell. Tried it again after watching this video just for fun and it locked my out of my quick icons menu and slowed down my watch 5 pro. Almost thought it bricked my watch because it was unresponsive for 5 mins shortly after. Luckily I was able to force reboot it after opening the samsung pay shortcut for some reason.
It also has a bunch of devs that have stolen free watch faces and charge people money for it. Facer devs do nothing about complaints.

Agree, the sensor of my galaxy watch 4 classic 46mm light up and turn on all time after I install facer watch faces, uninstall it the light turn off. Annoying bug to drain battery.

Damn, just as I was set on GTR 4, it being "the best watch of 2022 so far", now it's not even in the top 5. Back to square one I guess.
