Excellent video incredibly useful and very easy to follow!! I've always wondered how the heck these systems were set up so you're doing me quite the service! Thanks Ronnie!
Hey!! I just started watching you yesterday bc I had gotten my first bearded dragon which I named Charzar bc I love Pókemon and he is just climbing all over me LOL
Thank you for these videos. Very helpful. I will be building one of these in the next few weeks. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is automatic feeding. I need a system that takes care of itself for 3-4 days at a time, since I often travel for work. I see this system working with larger pellet/cube type food. I have been keeping mice for several years in hamster cages, and feeding them chicken feed (small pellets). I improvised a bird feeder style food dispenser using a water bottle with small holes drilled near the bottom for the mice to pull out food. I usually also screw a larger plastic lid to the bottom for stability. Problem is, eventually the mice expand the small holes so they can crawl inside, and dig out all of the food overnight (filling the bottom of the cage and making a mess). Any suggestions? Or does setup that you use only work with the larger cube type food (which is a lot more expensive then chicken feed pellets)?
Did you use our kit? I've never had an issue with the valves that we sell. I do know there are some cheap and faulty valves sold on Amazon. You're not the first to have issues with them if so.
The clips are made for 1/2 inch hardware cloth. BUT, you can cut out a section of the 1/4 inch to make room for the clip. Just the middle wire where the clip needs to go. That;s how we do it on mice racks where we prefer 1/4 inch cloth.
I have an automatic waterer but my issue is that the bottom levels flood or are very wet by day 3. Is this the actual nipples or???? I've replaced them a few times and the same, the bottom nipples leak. Is it due to the gravity when they drink it just pours out? Whereas the top isn't as gravity driven? I'm so sick if it I'm about sell the whole rack that was $500 and build one that'll fit regular old rabbit water bottles.
Ive Been using these same water valves and my rats are having such a hard time getting water from them I had them drinking from water bottles it's been a week & still ain't getting the hint on how to drink from them. water definitely comes out of each one I test it myself like u did in this video I'm not sure what to do here? I have the water valves from reptile basics. Do you know if there's ones out there that makes it easier for the water to come out ?
No you just need to run your tubing down your rows and then split add a T at every tub. Once one row is done, run the line down one side and repeat. Hope this makes sense. >-< it's 4:30 in the mornin and I've yet to sleep so I apologize if that all was confusing.

Can you do a video on how to make the racks with lighting for the hatchlings bearded dragons ? Or where I can get one ?
Can you use the clear aquarium tubing and the blue connector pieces?
Very nice ! I tried on rat, it works well. But mice bar was too heavy.
Not sure why. We have over 40 mouse colonies using this exact same system.

Really? Did you adjust the inner spring? Small mice cannot push the bar and I gave up. But thanks I will try again!
Did you use our kit?

I just built a rack using 1/4" hardware cloth. Are there any clips that I can use because the ones you show here are too big.

It is probably caused by cheap poorly made water valves. Try our kit available here:

@@ColdBloodCreations yea, amazon for $9 for 30
WoW! Yeah, I am betting that THAT is the problem. Good quality valves are worth the extra money for them not to leak and drown your rats.
Cool 😎
Informative
Is there any chance I can order 18 of the brass teets and 18 of the clips please
E-mail us at coldbloodcreations@yahoo.com
The presure its on the bucket you don't need to be care full at how the tubes are , the gravity will work don't worry :)

In many years I have never seen a rodent that could not figure this out.
Remove all other water options and they will get it.
What's the valve called that gives them the water
what you called to the quickdisconnect fitting>?
Can I order the rat rack and bucket set??
Shoot us an e-mail at coldbloodcreations@yahoo.com for details.
What are the pieces called that they drink from?
How would you do water for multiple rows in a rack? My mouse rack is 4 bins across by 7 bins down. Would I do four buckets?

How do you feed them
Do ya have to feed em too?
Just kidding. We put it on the top of the screen.
When will this be restocked
Today. We just got them on the site.
Then water licker clips suck
I use fender washers to hold the water licker
Lol to hard, I use a rc body reamer tool to make my hole for the water quick disconnect.
