They should’ve all started with the same hair color
It is still around the same shade, though
@Jarrad Kertész
✔ Yes I do. I have to sign autographs and take photos with fans so yes it *matters*
lenhuy I like your profile picture, it’s beautiful! :)
lenhuy not really. It goes from medium blonde to full on platinum.
@@SUGAR_XYLER Sign autographs? Who are you? I've never seen you before.
There are way too many variables in this test. Such as:
-Hair color (before dyeing)
-Application of dye
-Hair history
-Shampoo type
-Water temperature
-etc.
And how often the hair has been washed
aww I remember my research teacher
Shampoo is serious. These guys didn't know they needed non-sulfate shampoo.
Greg.
Right. For all we know the winner just used a sulfate free shampoo and then rest didnt.
"As I'm feeling RN" oh baby girl...
haha
When..

I wanna die so bad
Right now takes the same amount of effort to say
I SEE WE IGNORED MANIC PANIC THEN
TheRandomExplorer manic panic would’ve lost...
manic panic is shit
ugh eh, some of manic panics colors aren’t total failures but their purple most certainly is.
SHIT I just put that on my head lol
Duh. MP is absolute shit.
Would’ve been a more fair test if they all had bleached hair and washed their hair the same amount of times with the same products. Just saying
poliknoy absolutely! I can think of MANY things that would have made this more “fair”
Pretty sure it was supposed to be like “Here’s a bunch of different hair types, let’s see how these work for anyone”
poliknoy I agree a lot
h
Also if they treated the hair with the same products like shampoos and conditioners etc
They have different hair textures and hair histories and colors so it’s not exactly a fair test tbh
Plus look at how bad they applied it, my 11 year old niece is better at it than that
There are many factors coming into play
1. Washing technique
2. Application of dye
3. How long the dye was allowed to sit
4. Type of hair
5. Hair history (like you said)
6. Quality of hair after the bleach
7. And many many more factors...
Okay but that’s not the point
True....but I've used all the 3 brands....I had the same results in terms of lasting
Also the shampoo they are using. So unffair
Special effects is awesome but I wish they had more colors that weren't neon. I like bright orange hair but not eye searing orange ya feel?
mix it with conditioner to dilute it
Yeah mix it with a bit of conditioner and you'll get a gorgeous color :)
I've been in love with orange for a while and non neon. Check out Loreal Hi Lights for dark hair in Copper. No bleach needed, it has a lightening agent in it. The most beautiful orange I've ever found, and I used to work at a Redken Salon!
Conditioner
Mix it with a dap of blue to calm it down
2:44 when moms try to be "edgy" or "cool"
So they use *rn instead of right now* in real life.
Yeah and honestly it does the opposite
Lol
Who the hell says “RN” instead of “right now”. In real life.
Yeah I thought the same thing like wtf?? 😂😂
Alexander Yang “hillion”
Alexander Yang you sound like someone straight out of r/iamverysmart
i miss u well I mean they’re technically correct
Alexander Yang hillion? 😂
wait did she just say “rn” instead of “right now”...
G Flip hah that’s what I said. *cringe*
When?

Woah hold up cringe
@@SoftKitty13 svt!
Just curious, I assume they use different shampoos and conditioners - which might affect how much the dye will hold...so wouldn’t the test be irrelevant?
And also the guys hair was pre-bleached \(-_-)/
Exactly what I thought. Too many variables
3:47
That faded pink hair color actually looks really good on her, I want to try it now
Not a fair test, they all have different hair colours so it will show up different and they all probably wash their hair differently (how thorough and often)
P sure it’s supposed to be like “here’s different people, here’s different hair types”
Can't imagine this is happening! Last winter i was using arctic fox purple rain and for 2 months and at least 2 washes a week with hot water (which helps fading faster) it almost didn't change! Yes, it doesn't stay on my natural hair but on bleached it's like forever!
Now I'm all arctic fox rainbow using purple rain, poseidon, aquamarine, phantom green, cosmic sunshine, sunset orange and a mix of sunset orange and wrath for red and one month later it's still perfect, the colors didn't blend and even the yellow is perfect yellow without any green in it! So, try better next time.
They are testing different brands...
@@itoxicsaskiai3101 the person knows. But u will see purple on bleached hair longer than on just died hair
WEll then they all should use the same hiar dye to show the effects of the different hair types, though that would take longer.
2:45 Oh no did she actually just say “rn”
ewwww
Gross
ewwwwww,,,chee, worse than a dead mouse on the road, ewwwww, cheeeee, she just said RN, grosser than the medical surgery , ewwwwww........like cool down whats the big deal?

4:45 only washed his hair 4 times in over a month? O-O
I was thinking same thing
Sophester Animates ewww
I think he just counted the times he washed his hair with shampoo? Becuz normally men wash their hair in the shower every time with water since they have short hair.
I only wash my hair every three days because I can’t wash my hair everyday, not just because of color reasons but also because my hair becomes too dry if I wash it everyday
LMFAOOOOO i peeped that too and was soooooo weak 🤣🤣
There’s a lot of issues wrong with the test, this is coming from a Professional’s stand point btw, bleached hair is already porous so it doesn’t hold onto color as well since the previously lightened hair’s cuticle is burst open it grabs easily but it doesn’t hold and since he’s at such a high level of blonde, lime crime never really stood a chance tbh
Excactly
Lime crime’s a terrible color line to begin with, the formula itself makes it not stand a chance. Also coming from a professionals standpoint it is just not good. Never once had it stay in anyone’s hair longer than a couple washes
I've had lime crime in my hair for close to a year with no touch ups and washing my hair once a week and it's still going strong
Hey i need some help with a mistake that I make wrt to hair colour. I got an ombre in blonde. I have black hair and I'm Indian. In order to attempt a burgundy hair colour at home I bought a do at home kit which mentioned number 3.16 on it. I did it and now my hair is black again. One can see the burgundy colour in sunlight only. I just wanted to ask you whether the burgundy dye will come off after like a lot of washes or will it just stay and I'll have a black stain on my blonde hair.
Shivani Sangal the scale of hair lightness is from 1-10, 1 being the darkest, 10 being the lightest. 3 means you got a really dark color and with the pigment of your hair, you have to lighten your hair first to get any sort of pigment to show up as anything more than a hue which is what you’re experiencing when you’re out in the sunlight. If it was permanent color, it won’t fade with each wash, it’s going to slightly lighten but it’s going to stain the hair cuticle. My best advice is get a color remover done by a salon professional and have them redo it for you before anymore damage is done
The most flawed experiment ever...they all have different hair types & color, did they wash with the same shampoo/conditioner, cold water, dry shampoo, color sealer? Probably not.
Agreed
Lindsey ChassM thats what I was thinking like, they might as well have used different colors
Literally what I was coming down here to complain about. Also their hair are different shades and health levels. That changes how well the color holds on
That's what I came here to ask what about external factors
Totally. Also, these dyes has different proposals. The Lime Crime's unicorn hair is also almost a pastel color, it would fade in a short time anyway
Special effects is well know by the semi permanent/very long durability of warm colors
*shade: pony*
_ok._
Bro ur name 😂💀
and i oop ikr haha 😂
i worked at a hairdresser and i must say that arctic fox has to be one of the best hair dye brands i've ever seen been used. (edit; i wrote this a while ago... i do not know why :D)
Your profile looks like that of a 13 year old, along with your grammar lol I don’t believe you worked at a “hairdresser”. And trained professionals typically don’t work with brands like arctic fox in a professional salon. They have special, more high quality brands that a lot of times can only be bought by people with a cosmetology license. That’s part of why getting hair professionally done costs so much, their materials are much more expensive than a $10 hot topic dye lol.
@@kikoe6955 i'm 16 xx wouldn't you know who my pfp is?? judging by your banner you watch anime, no? and you're clearly proven wrong because she did :) this hairdresser was a small business. grammar? darling my grammar is fine, i spelt one thing wrong. so i think you mean my english.. you don't have to believe me i don't care, but make sure you know the difference between grammar and english next time.

Nice
I use Arctic Fox Purple Rain all the time, Smells amazing! Like grapes :] I wash my hair in cold water and DON'T use Dandruff or Clarifying shampoos, they strip the colour out.
i use it too and the color has never completely washed out!
Yeah! There is always colour and it lasted for half a year for me, really purple in some parts of my hair.
I think all AF dyes smell like grapes lol
sadly it always washes out during the first wash for me 😫
I left it on for an entire day once before rinsing it to make sure it set in enough, but next time I actually washed my hair it was all gone 😭 I always envy people who get dyes to stay in; my hair won't even hold permanent dye, regardless of whether it is damaged or healthy 💔
(editing to clarify that I don't use anything that strips the color in the shower, my hair is just rude haha. won't even hold a curl or styling product 😰)
@@cinderhellax That is really shitty 😣 sorry your hair is mean to you 😫
It's also so much better because its vegan and cruelty free! So touching up color wont kill your hair.
This isnt fair though because they started in very different places. The bleached hair is dry asf. And the dark purple will last longer.
It is dry, but the cuticles of the hair are also open well to have this type of colour. It's stain and the molecules are big and should get stuck in his open cuticles. The fact it faded that badly after only 2 washes... I would not recommend it. If you need it for a day or too sure. (I'm a hairstylist)
What dye would you recomend for me to have the hair color "the blood of my enemy's"?
Hi any the one the last girl had
Robby hi
Start with a dark red, add Pravana vivids black. The black will make the color darker and grungier, may even keep it from fading quite as fast.
Special effects has been my absolute favorite brand. A lot of my favorite colors are either sold out or way to expensive.
Yes, it would have been much more fair if everyone used the same exact shampoo/conditioner and washed the same amount of times
lavendershampoo and if they had the same hair color
We didn't really get a good picture of the first results
I love Arctic fox, smells great feels great but it's too expensive for something that fades so freaking fast.
Yeah, Arctic Fox is great for people who never wash their hair. Or people who like belonging to social media cults and worshipping a naked emperor.
There are so many mistakes in this video that I so want Brad Mondo to react it
Did she really say "rn" instead of just saying right now
aRrR NnN
WHEN!
Why does that matter?
I’m actually dying bc the man is balding and he’s still bleaching his hair-
Kueen like jojo siwa...
carsonk swimming LMAOOOOO
eh its because having bleached hair hides your bald spots
Be wild with your hair before it's all gone because it will bald away no matter what
I mean my hair is falling out like crazy and I still bleach it
I used Arctic Fox for my hair and I bleached it first. The color has stayed in for months, and I wash my hair a couple times a week. Granted, it has faded a lot, but it will not go away lol, it's a nice sky blue with mint green. I used the color Aquamarine, I will forever be in love with that color ❤
What bleach did you use? Im looking for a good bleach to use with artic fox
I have Electric Paradise :)
I love Arctic Fox hair dye! I’m currently into the color “Purple Rain”
Amy I like that colour
From experience, the arctic fox was the best for me. Manic panic lasted a fraction of Arctic fox.
Arctic fox lasted 2.5-3 for my hairbtw I also used purple rain and bonus, it smells like grape sweetarts😅 my friends would smell my hair😂 it also helps if you start to use color specialized treatment shampoo&conditioner
Manic panic lasted 1 month.
I got vampire red, the amplified manic panic, I dyed my hair back in early January and my hair is still pretty red, about 6 months later. I don't really do anything specific to keep it in, except I end my showers with cold water, my roots are horrible but it's fading only slightly. So I only end up dyi ng me hair 2 or 3 times a year, depending on what's going on.
I stick with manic panic because of it lol
@@teenat7044 its cause reds stick pretty well to hair. With semi permanent dyes some stick way better than others. But I guess it all come down to hair types and the condition of your hair as well. Reds and blues hella stain your hair tho. Blues go gross green tho
@@LoveGir24 I've always been told red fades the fastest? Every time I go to a salon and get it done asking for permanent as possible they say that's not possible, this will last 4 weeks without care (like using the color safe products or washing with cold water, basically using the persevere tips everyone knows)
My salon hair never lasts more than like 3 washes lol. Normal manic panic never lasts more than 8 washes. This volume 40 stuff has lasted at least 70 and is still poppin'
2.5-3 months or washes? I’m think about using arctic fox
With Manic Panic, they have temporary dyes and semi-permanent dyes, so it does depend on which one you used
Who says RN instead of right now??? 2:45

It came up as a youtbe recommendation. I would never look for something like this. I was actually watching cooking videos, lol.
Me everyday
Haha, Nothing interesting is left to watch :P Or I'm not trying hard enough.
Nailed it with the immediate after color shots
There were to many independent variables, the color of hair, the texture, the shampoo and conditioner brand they used, how much dye they used, there should only be 1 independent variable and that should be the dye. This was not a reliable test.
Poor way to show the after
i agree i think they did that to plug their instas lol
It was way too tiny I couldn’t even that shit and i was watching on my iPad
I’m not sure if the guy realized that if you want color like that to last, you have to use special shampoos and conditioners
even so, the dye has to be pretty damn shitty to fade massively after only ONE wash. even if u washed it in hot water with regular shampoo and conditioner, it shouldn't fade that much
Marsy yeah you’re right. I guess we can’t really tell because we don’t know his routine. There are too many inconsistencies that it can be pretty hard to tell anything. That dye did seem pretty crappy though
@@MarsTheBar9 Not entirely true. I have used arctic fox's Poison and had it last 2 months with little fade. My brother used it and it was out of his hair in 2 washes. Hair makes a huge difference. That guy's hair might just not work with purple. They should have used the same dye on more than one person.
Marsy Lime Crime is a tint. It’s not meant to last long and is made for people with lighter hair who want to change their color often
Fun fact: hair that's easy to lift and dye will lose dyes faster than hair that's harder to lift and dye.
Because the cuticles are more opened the dye falls off much easier.
Getting shampoo that doesn't open your cuticles also helps keep the color stick to your hair between washing.
I wanted that soft rose-gold pink and watched several videos on how-to. When I went to purchase the dye I bought the SFX because it had such great reviews. When I mixed it with the conditioner I used VERY LITTLE and my hair is still day-glo pink. It’s honestly really pretty but not what I was looking for.
If you try the same thing I recommend adding the color in 1/2 teaspoon increments until it’s the color you want. Apparently with other colors you need to make the color mixture brighter than what you actually want but with SFX it turns the exact color you see.
The last one is obviously the best. It is so vibrant and holds up so much better~
Velvetcious Lolypoppy True
Velvetcious Lolypoppy But it really wasn’t a fair test.
@@dvkstudios7707 how ? They tested them all the same, do you mean it was on different hair types ?
Velvetcious Lolypoppy It’s my opinion but I felt like they should’ve used the same type of products and have the same amount of washes. And also, yes, part of it is also hair type. :)
@@dvkstudios7707 Oh I see, yeah it makes sense, well I agree with you now
Using shampoo when you shower will cause it to fade. To get it to last, avoid using shampoo. Use small amounts, or only shampoo every so often. I use Dare hair dye and it gives very good results and long wear time, it's only $20
Rumana Asif is conditioner okay to use?
@@hellobangsie4342 Yep. Using a conditioner for coloured hair is ideal, but any conditioner should be fine
Or you can mix some dye into tour conditioner.
Yep. Mixing conditioner and dye together can lighten up the dye a little tho. Depends how much you use
yeah just never shampoo your head.. sounds gross
“I honestly didn’t think I would be that into it as I’m feeling rn” I cringed so HARD😬😬😬😬😬😬
"It's been about a month now"
*4 washes
I'm dying hahaha
Yeah? Whats wrong with that
they didn’t use cold water and shampoo made for dye that’s most likely why it washed out so fastly
Gotta use sulfate free shampoo to make the color last a bit longer or else the color will strip away if using a regular shampoo
Some people cant because sulfate causes damage to your hair
Nini N. Yeah I also like to put a bit of dye in my conditioner too so whenever a wash it I can add some pigment back.
Oreo The Food Motivated Cat There’s a kind of conditioner called colorditioner that you can buy to match your hair color and it helps to keep the color lasting for much longer. I recommend it if you want to try it.
Lime crime is a TINT. Not dye. It’s not made to last super long
It’s a shit tint, it fades unevenly, which I know from experience and not just this video. Also, it does bill some of there dyes as actual dye, not just a tint
I love the last product its gives u an ombre look overtime
Lol why did she say rn instead of just saying right now?
Pure laziness. 😂
SalemGrimm i know it’s so annoying when people say abbreviations in real life and not on the internet
i did my hair with splat dye... the purple one... i dyed it over a year ago... its STILL there... some patches of pink, but still purple with some massive regrowth lol
i've dyed my hair w/ arctic fox twice since may, and my hair is still a vibrant purple colour. i only use sulfate-free shampoo, and i only have amazing experience and wear with them!
thank you beauty insider this helped me pick my new dye :)
I just used the unicorn hair dye to dye may hair and it I’ve washed it 3 times and it hasn’t faded at all. I dyed it over naturally red hair.
Wait does he wash his hair once a week? I can’t go over two days without washing my hair before it looks like a hot mess
My hair becomes greesy at 3rd day so i wash my hair with water. Than again it's greasy i wash with water. So only once a week i wash with shampoo. But i wanna try twice a week to wash with shampoo.
I have dry hair and I wash once a week. It depends on your hair type.
Because you're washing your hair so much
I was my hair at most twice a week but I have wavy thick hair so its perfectly fine
Jesus I thought it was gross to go two days without washing. 😂 I was mine every single night
Short and on point. Just love these kind of videos 👍✨
I used the same shade of Arctic Fox as in the video, and loved it! The color was very nice, and held nicely for ~3 or 4 weeks. It also washed out completely of my unbleached brown hair, so after a month and a half I had my natural hair color back! I would definitely recommend for anyone dying their hair for the first time :)
something I learned after coloring my hair:
* everyone's hair is different. what might stick for someone may not work for someone else. even with the same hair texture.
Lmao here we go
70% of comments are : This wasn't a fair test. It wouldn't been more accurate if they did x, y, and z.
30% of comments : wtf she said rn instead right now
Don't you just love it when the video goes straight to the point
I used Arctic Fox Purple Rain. It works great. Very purple and bright.
Sadly, Special Effects is gone now. I'm heartbroken, nothing I've tried has come anywhere close.
The guy is balding and still bleached his hair. Say good buy to the rest of his hair soon
Good buy!
...Good buy...
He's male Jojo siwa
Good buy 😂😂😂😂😂
Special effects is SO underrated now I thought it was dead and gone. Sfx used to be the top OG of go to colorful hairdyes before arctic fox came around..
I dye my hair pretty often and have done 6 or 7 colors using different products at least once including special effects, manic panic, and arctic fox. Once I tried arctic fox *four years ago* I never used anything else. It is great on my natural brown hair and stays very well. It also comes off of clothes, walls, skin, my dog *oops* and my bedding pretty easily
Limecrime is garbage lol, I’ve heard amazing things about special effects so it makes sense that it’s the winner, but personally I prefer manic panic, arctic fox (which I’m still new to), or punky colour (also new), the color is really good but doesn’t last too long, which allows me to change it up more often
"As im feeling RN"
oh honey
I used to use Special Effects in the 90s, and that stuff lasted forever. I loved it! I wish I had known about mixing it with conditioner to get lighter tones at the time, though.
Special Effects is the best dye I’ve ever used and I’ve used several brands and colors over many years. You used to be able to get Special Effects in Hot Topics only back in the day and that’s where I fell in love with it but now I can only find it online.
should’ve used manic panic
Manic panic is awful
Yeees, I love manic panic
Cerridwen Brown it is literally the worst! My hair color would be gone in 3 days when I was using that crap. I love Pravana.
@@comixdiscomix depends ! Last year I used manic panic's rockabilly blue and after 4 months my hair was still blue (more of a turquoise , but still v pigmented.) It was so hard to get it of my hair

I'm at 5 months going on 30/35 washes for Splat's Midnight Amethyst. It cost me 8.99 a bottle and I needed 2 bottles for my hair. The color has stayed wonderfully and is only now really starting to fade out at just under 6 months. I super highly recommend this hair dye!!
I have used the Arctic Fox....it stays for months and months...even on unbleached hair! If you want just a few weeks don't use it, if you want it to last deffo go for it. Best one on the market and smells amazing.
Too bad Special Effects went out of business, that was my hair color favorite brand.
I like the smell of Arctic fox and the fact that’s is vegan/healthy for hair. But as hair dye it’s pretty meh unless you are bleached a really light color. But then again any color hair is hard for dark haired people.
one n only argan oil hair color is also very good!! i used it before entering high school and it didn’t wash out until the next February. given, i cant wash my hair every day and i used color safe shampoo for the first two or so months, but it did last a very long time. my hair was also extremely long and not bleached and when i cut it, it finally came out all the way :) i still use it when i dye my bangs, mixed with other dyes!! it’s great!!
As someone who dyes their hair regularly, it just depends on how long you want the color to last. Special effects is the longest lasting, arctic fox is good for a medium lasting, and manic panic for a very temporary color. I'm lazy so I love the special effects the most, it stays for a really long time. But keep in mind if it's short lasting like manic panic then it bleeds a lot onto pillow sheets, clothes, etc.
Oh ok, pass me all three. I WANT TO DYE MY HAIR NOW ;0;
Did u guys noticed that the guy took less showers than the girls ( this was a year ago & totally forgot 😭 don’t come for me because dumb asf 😗)
not necessarily. Maybe he just doesn't wash his hair every time he showers.
I take two baths a day and wash my hair once a week. Dry shampoo is great. People do wash their bodies and skip the hair.
positivezoelaverne yep
Christina Fitzgerald wtf two bathes a day WILL make your skin extremely dry
There's no point to bathe before you fall asleep cus u will in the evening
however if u bathe in the morning there's also no point

Currently I have the Arctic fox purple rain in my hair. I love it
Very Cool because I just started to try different colors and I was completely curious about how this was done. It looks really easy and effective. I will be heading right over to the Splat Rainbow! Thank You. 😃🌼
Sometimes it's not the hair dye that makes a difference.

I WOULD DEFINITELY recommend the artic Fox one because I’ve used it on my hair with me mom and I’ve always loved dying my hair since then
You should've bleached all of their hair
Everyone's hair holds color differently. My hair holds red like no one's business. Haven't dyed it in 4 months and they only way you can tell us the out growth. It has faded very little. My friend? Same dye, same color, fades in a week.
I love Special Effects! Been using their Atomic Pink for 6 years now
I’ve tried all of these brands’ pinks and Special Effects is still the best longevity-wise. I like the Lime Crime shade best tho.
I think those girls looked amazing with the dyes . I liked both the looks tho u.u
There's a guy there too
@@Faeborn but I am talking about only girls xD , the guy looks just fine with the dye
What if the winner one was not temporary color ? Seems like something permanent. Bc it has barely faded.
Fashion colors are never permanent, only semi permanent and temporary.
yes, but they can straight up stain your hair until its pretty much permanent
it's not it's a semi/demi. Special effects is literally insane, especially deep purple. I had a friend I used it on and it never came out. Just turned neon pink. Tried bleaching it multiple times and nada.
Yep. Certain Special Effects colours are pretty much permanent stains. The red/pink/purple colours the most. I used Pimpin Purple and two years later it's bright pink and still there when new colours I put over top have washed out XD I love it!
I had Arctic Fox in my hair for 4 weeks and it was vibrant like the 3rd persons hair. It is how you wash your hair and take care of it. I was my hair every other day in cold water and color safe shampoo/conditioner.
Honestly Arctic Fox is my favorite cheap dye but it is best with bleach blonde hair and did come out of my roots and they were yellow blonde. I have it in my hair for over 46 washes
2020 be like: sure I’ll do it because no will see me because of Covid 19
2021 be like: ok well Covid 19 is still going so I’m gonna dye my hair again for now.
One week later

Does it work on black hair for anyone who has tried it??
A girl on UA-cam has tried the LimeCrime hair dyes and she has jet black hair, the dye gave her hair a tint but it was more visible outdoors
Yeah it tints and stays for a long time but doesn’t dye
Black hair needs to be bleached in order to get vivid bright colours to show
If your hair is jet black no. If it has a hue of brown undertone it will tint it.
Mahi Patel Using red or brown would work, but i would just bleach it if i were you.
thanks for showing us a great close up pic of the result
i use that exact shade of arctic fox n honestly it lasted fairly long. the first run i did it took forever to fade, and most recently i used permanent dark purple dye with arctic fox over it once it started to turn brown, and its still purple after like 2-3 months. you have to have rly light hair for best results and avoid sulfate hair products which takes the color out. if you bleached your hair prior you wont need to wash it as much since itll be drier which obviously helps the dye stay in
i have naturally oily hair though, if you dont you should use hair treatments and avoid heat like hairdryers or straighteners (if you bleach it). sulfate also makes your hair drier n wont help in recovery
