I really like this series. David Peterson is always calm and clear in explaining, even if the videos are of course way too short to cover all depths of the technique. Here in particular I like the remark about when to apply the pak sao: when your opponent is committed. This is quite a crucial concept, but gives a beginner like me a sense of what is going on when you see Peterson move in a lightning speed :-) Please keep up the interesting work!
+bl33kselderij I agree. The concise approach, and simply-descriptive language make this great information. I'm enjoying both David's, and Morten's vids.
This really helped me to clarify the intent and purpose of pak sau. Sifu Peterson's understanding of Cantonese also helps solidify the concepts behind each motion.
this is great information..everything is true.. we train the same way ..it is just an exercise...two things that done really sit well with me and i see this with a lot of wsl lineages and other lineages is that you guys aren't using broken rhythm which helps build more sensitivity and doesnt make it so mechanical and the other is bobbing up and down which in my opinion takes you off balance and telegraphs your movement..hope that can be and valuable information to you and keep up the training and videos! :D
Really nice video's indeed! Is there a future series that break down the forms? Talk about the intent of each part of them? How they apply to our drills, fighting, life, etc? You guys are great!

I met WSL in 1986 at his school on Nathan in HK. He was gracious and welcoming.
