Want to thank you for the advice - found your video clip after some really bad blistering on my heels; have done two day hikes since without any issues 👍

The box knot tip for uphill is brilliant. Thanks!

Good tip. If you make another "surgeon's knot" with the final bow loops you end up with a turquiose turtle knot or shoeman's knot. It is more secure, rarely comes loose and yet is easy to untie just like a regular double slipknot.

I worked standing on hard (concrete) surfaces for years and found that just wearing better shoes really helped. Including better tying techniques could help too. Thanks!

Walk on that concrete barefoot and most of your feet will be blister-proof.

Thanks for the tips! I can't believe you finished off with tying a granny knot instead of a much stronger loop knot... 😧

This is great for hiking boots, but I have this problem in ankle-level trail shoes as well. Ideas?

You finished it with granny knot at the end. You can tell that by the two rings that tend to line up vertically instead of horizontally. That'll come off anytime. Correct way is left over right then right over left, or the other way around.

The best thing to wear 2 layers of wool socks one thin and the other thick and that’s will do the trick,
