Micah was still a physical specimen that could defend reasonably well from fullback on the top level. Walker might be on another level in terms of being a complete player but Mica's still a perfectly good guy to get insight from for that question, and more comparable to Walker than, lets say, Carra.
Walker is just too quick and too and strong and he’s actually very tall for a fallback. I’m a city fan and I’m telling you even the likes of mbappe gets pocketed when they play Walker and that’s no disrespect to mbappe because Walker is insane. Micah is a funny dude, really great energy in and outta the studio AND he is great when it comes to football analysis just as he was great at playing his role on Man City. some of the best people to work with are the ones who lead with humor anytime it is appropriate but still know when to switch it when its time to produce the goods. Great guy from a professional stand point frfr ( I obviously do not know him personally so I cant really say ish about that but I am sure he is a good dude from that aspect as well.)
I remember how explosive prime Richards was. Sad how players like him often struggle with muscle injuries (him, Bale, etc). Crazy how Walker could maintain that style deep into his thirties.
When did Maguire win a Premier League? And also he won the POTM in the Premier League a few months back, just one bad season doesn't define him, he's a solid defender.@@Solidn3m
I really love this sort of stuff, I stopped playing and watching football 15 odd years ago but Micah, Thierry, Keane Carragher etc have totally reignited my love for the sport. Seeing these things broken down by legends is amazing.
yesterday Micah in my opinion was just sopt on in every word he said ,, even Henry when they were talking about something said '' i have nothing to add cause Micah analyse that so well ''
Always loved Micah! Very grateful to see Henry taking him very, very serious on this one. He may have been an extraordinary defender if he didn't get injured so bad.

I know Big Meeks is always the fun guy and is not a MAN C legend but guys, at some point he was a professional soccer player, he burst onto the scene for a reason
Micah is right, simply put, angle your body 90 degree-ish in relation to the attacker, always with line in front of you so that the only space the attacker has is that narrow strip along the line and never allow him to cut inside by standing flat footed in front of him, or even worse, slightly angled with the line behind you as you just gave him free passage.
THIS is what pundits should do more often - give us civilians the expert breakdown on the game. Too often it's cliches, platitudes and "man in pub" analysis
This all and well but world class IF will mess with you and love to come up against player like Micah. They know when to drop off, come to stand still, faint a direction, burst and change up on you, chop and change direction. Mbappe/Dembélé are specialist at it, Coman is one level below them. Hazard who was not as fast was specialist at it too, it was sad to see all those Real subs and Hazard is on the bench, it's frustrating his body can't do what his mind is wired to do anymore. It would still be the same outcome though, City pressing with 5 players up top and Real not getting out their own final 3rd and play out from the back. Masterclass tactics from Pep
Jesus Christ, all the ‘respect’ going to Richards…this is the first defending lesson you get after starting football school at 9 years old. It’s incredibly basic. Micah Richard’s showing he’s not just there for comedy value what great knowledge he has plus how well he explained it. 👍🏻
This is why they’re without contest the best pundit group in the game rn. Literally the equivalent to the TNT inside team for the NBA
Not on the same level. They are starting right but nothing is at the same level of inside the nba. Will never be another Sir Charles Barkley
I find TNT funnier but what I love about this crew is how they can switch from being funny to being serious like this clip
