In the Warriors Orochi series aka the super team up between the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors characters, Sun Wukong is portrayed as a villain and Sanzang becomes a female!
I wonder if there has ever been a book, play or film where Sun Wukong and Hanuman met. In the theme song to Monkey, it's mentioned that the place they're heading to is in India. What if once they got there, they met Hanuman and he and Sun Wukong teamed up? I think that would be an interesting story.

Does anyone know where to actually watch the unedited version of the 1986 show with subtitles? Unfortunately the official CCTV youtube channel only have the shortened version.
I feel like there's some influence of Hanuman on Superman, similar to characters like the Monkey King and Goku. Some traits, like super strength and the ability to fly, are yes pretty generic superpowers, so those might just be coincidental. But what really makes me wonder is Superman opening his shirt to reveal the "S" symbol on his chest. It feels like it could be inspired by the imagery of Hanuman revealing Lord Ram and Sita in his chest. Even the hand positioning looks similar.
