@@gregorylouiscolemanits fantastic. I added a K&N cold air intake for a cool look and a few extra HP’s. You’ll be at the gas station quite frequently as it has a relatively small tank and currently I’m getting 11 miles per gallon.

Love the review. I just picked up my 2024 Mustang GT Premieum w/ Performance pack Nite Pony package. I chose the 6 speed manual and couldn't be more happy with it.
I chose black. The color with the Nite Pony package looks amazing. I purchased black lug nuts and tinted the windows 5% to finish off the look. @@CarsWithSteve
What is the Performance pack, and Nite pony package? Does Ford sell Carbon fiber rims for the gt or Dark horse. This would make a big difference on performance.
@@avocado9763 Nite Pony Package is where all of the emblems, headlight bezels and rims are blacked out also. They sell carbon fiber rims but they are an additional $8,500.00.

The new S650 is awesome in so many ways!!! I am glad that you got the Performance package!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing new 2024 Mustang!!! It is a beautiful machine!!!! Cheers Brother‼️👍👊💪🇺🇸
So true Gordy. I've had a bunch of people telling me they're liking the new look as well. I figured it would just take time to grow on people. The Performance Pack is the way to go in this car! Toss in Active Valve and Magneride and 👌
From Australia. Great video. Ordered a GT yesterday. Our imported GTs come with the performance pack, but I’ve opted for th3 Magna-ride as well. Some of our country roads are woeful. I’ll keep your vid for reference.
I’m getting very close to placing an order on a GT premium so I can get it just how I want it. My only question is whether I should get the Recaros. I LOVE the looks of them. I don’t care much about power/heat/cool. I honestly will rarely track the car but it’s not my daily driver either. I’ll prob put 500ish miles a month on it and if I go on a long road trip, I’ll just take my work truck. My concern is that I’m 6’2” 225lbs. Do you think these seats will be comfortable for someone my size? Also, great review. Prob the best I’ve seen.
Thanks! So for reference I'm 6'0 and weigh 190lbs so we aren't too far off from each other size wise. I find the Recaros really comfortable and there's still headspace so you should be ok there. If you don't care about the power or ventilated seats then it doesn't sound like there's anything stopping you from going for it
Great video Steve. One piece of feedback I have is that you should start off the video showing an overall view of the car and maybe go around it to show off the different angles. I think you zoomed into specific elements a little too quickly.
I'm going to be honest.. I have a friend who has the Recaro's and they are nice but I love my Base electric cloth seats. I do they are so soft and comfortable for a stock seat.. My buddy with the recaro's even said it.. He was in my passenger seat and was like wow these are the Base seats?? N I'm like yup...
Like and subbed my friend. I was on the fence between the mustang and the charger. One big pro on the charger is the leg room since it's a sedan. This past week though, I test drove the standard mustang gt which I really liked. But just yesterday, I drove the premium and man I got to tell you. The options on the premium versus the standard are big. The options on the premium vs the charger are even bigger and at almost the same price. The features on the mustang, especially the premium are worth every penny. Definitely getting this instead of a charger. Great video brother. Really enjoyed it.
Thanks JJ, appreciate that support! Tough choice between the two of them and I like the Charger for that same reason. Premium Mustang is such a huge difference. Do you know about build you're going for in your new ride?
Going for the performance pack for sure. Going with the vapor blue with the night pony option. I'm still playing with the numbers and options but definitely following some of your advise, to include the active exhaust. I was wondering though. I would love to add a spoiler but I don't want the cost to over exceed my budget. Could you add some of the other options later and would you go back to your auto dealer to get those installed? Again, on a budget but I would love to get some of those other options on a later date. @@CarsWithSteve
Sounds like it'll be a good build, and great call on the active exhaust too. You can definitely add an aftermarket spoiler, you can have the dealership install it, go DIY or have a performance shop do it for you instead
After watching your video. Makes me can’t wait for spring when I’ll bring out my 2019 GT Vert. I shake my head in disbelief on how expensive they have become. Mine is pretty well loaded and had a MSRP of $53,200 US. New price would be 9k more.
$9k for a 5 year newer model, extra tech and more HP isn't too bad but I've had a ton of existing owners say the same thing about loving their S550 too much to give it up. Have you done anything aftermarket to your GT or is it stock?
It's really rare to come across a base GT, honestly your best bet is to factory order. Might take 3-4 months but you'll at least get exactly what you're after!
Is this car very low to the ground and difficult to get in and out of? I'm on crutches for 3 more weeks after knee surgery and can't go try it for myself at the moment. Currently driving a Golf R which I like, but feel like a change. Thanks in advance! Really good video!!
Sucks about the knee! The Mustang and Golf R would be pretty close for the ground clearance. If you can get into the Golf no problem right now, you'll be able to get in the Mustang.. you'll just notice you fall back into the seat of the Mustang a bit more. Think you'd go for the GT or EcoBoost?
@@CarsWithSteve Thanks, and I appreciate the reply! I'm glad to hear they're pretty close for ground clearance. I get it that it's a racing seat, but its not like you gonna be racing or on the track all the time. For the price of a car these days, you should get all the creature comforts available.
Thanks and I agree with you 100% on the Recaros. There's no reason why the tech can't be developed as part of the seat - beset of both worlds would be amazing. C'est la vie
@@CarsWithSteve would need the performance package, 401A package, active exhaust and preferably regular seats. I enjoy the heated and cooled seats in my charger

I like that definition! Road trips in the Mustang are a blast, those runs must have been a great time. Lol if there's no video or photo proof about the speed.. it didn't happen. Cheers
You got it.. can't remote start the 6 speed so remote rev isn't available. Saw someone in a forum a few years ago post about how he installed a remote starter in his manual.. and then remote started it forgetting that he left it in gear instead of neutral 🤣
If I could afford a GT, I'd go for the Recaro's. Full manual control is OK. Power assist adds weight. So does the heated and cooled seats feature. Weight is not a performance car's friend.
Daily driver or summer car would have to be the standard seats for me unless I'm building a track car. Like you said.. the weight saved would definitely make it worth it!
Is it possible to get the MagneRide on the base GT? I don't remember that being an option on the 300 which sucks if that's true because there is no cheap full performance option.
@CarsWithSteve certain criteria has to be met or it won't start ie parking brake on and in neutral. Nice video. Got me thirsting for that GT or Dark Horse
Have you actually driven one of these on a track? Drift brake, performance tires, brembo brakes, k-brace, heavy duty springs, upsized rear sway and additional tuning are generally things car modders go for when they're looking for improved performance outside of superchargers, ECU tunes and cooling
@@CarsWithSteve Steve you did a great presentation. I have been a ford guy for 40 yrs. This basically a 2015 mustang gt. The same engine with tweaks here and there and 20 horse power every year is added. Grey plastic interior. And price increases. This car is not a $70,000 dollar car. I'd buy it for $45000. No I haven't driven it.
If you can find one on Turo to have fun for the day it's worth it! Didn't want that message to come off snotty.. The HP/torque was lowered for the 2022 model but the HP did shoot up 30 hp from 2023 to 2024. The historical pricing isn't too far off when you look at the lower trims, a similar 2023 would be about $2,800 CAD ($2,200 USD approx) in comparison. For the newer tech and bump in performance it's not too bad at all
There's a fuller screen option but it won't take up the full thing. Don't think I've come across a car from any manufacturer where the gauges are digital and actually takes up the full screen
It's the way the light hits the car. Metallic paint does that.. looks one color if you're looking at it a certain way and then comes close to blacking out at night and with different lighting
Ford has made options very pricey. Options that used to be standard. This is now too expensive for the quality and performance. It's over inflated horsepower numbers and options leave it dry. Way too pricey for the performance package, which should have magnetic ride, Recaros , oil coolers, transmission coolers, differential coolers , and active exhaust standard. The 1le did for high 40s.The Mustang doesn't even offer that for a loaded 62k GT....and a Darkhorse Handling package costs just as much as a 2021 GT500. Imagine a glorified Mustang GT for 72k+ with no supercharger and DCT. Ford has found some suckers. Just throw the word (track ) in the title, put some of the stickiest tires available, and pay for some wins. That's the Ford way! I'm looking at M2's, Supras and Nissan Zs. The fit and finish is a lot better on those cars. Before you say, it's good on the Mustang - look at the headlight gap. If that doesn't scare you, go to the rear of the car and look at the rear bumper -cover seam. The one that goes from the rear lights to the tire... and tell me about the ripples you see in the bumper. And if that's not enough, then look at the panel gaps, and the world's cheapest battery cover. It's a joke when it comes to quality. It's not "Job 1".
Don't think I've ever judged a car by how attractive the battery cover was before. But curious... which features are optional now that were standard in last years model? Prices have gone up for sure but Ford sold over 50,000 in the US last year alone so I don't know if those buyers would agree the value isn't there vs what's on the market. A fully loaded Dark Horse is $4k cheaper then the starting price of the '21 GT500 but if buyers had a time machine they might go back and pick one up. Those cars definitely have their lovers and haters as well
Pretty much fully loaded GT. Could save $15kish by going for a 300a with Perf Pack and Active Valve.. but damn.. picking up a 2010 GT500 for 25k is wild. How long ago did you pick it up?
@@CarsWithSteve picked it up about a year ago, I must admit that was a great price. Hence why I couldn't pass it up. The vehicle was extremely clean although mileage was on the higher side but was meticulously maintained and runs like a top. To be fair though, it seems like all cars nowadays are very expensive.
Used prices have come down a bit but new is still pretty high.. especially when you pair it with interest rates right now. Almost time to take the 500 out for the season!
Comparing a s197 to a s650 😂 , obviously there going to be a big difference in price , ones about 15 years old and was worth 70k back then , now ones at 70k cause of inflation lol
@@CarsWithSteve - Yes, that's what vehicle describes, but you're talking about a car. Right? It's a Mustang GT, not a van or truck. A wing allows air over and under it, a spoiler does not. Being a professional I would imagine you would know the difference. But, seeing that response I can see you're not a professional.
Premium is the way to go for sure. I've heard from a few people in AU or EU where their minimum is 95 octane and goes to 100.. can only imagine how good that drive would feel
@CarsWithSteve Maybe it's the younger generation, I was a kid when the fb debuted, and when began it's meteoric rise in '88 . But I really liked the "throwback gauges " the '60's gauges from '05 to '23. Sorry if I came across as the old bitty "GET OFF MY LAWN " type. 🤣🤣🤣

If you need further info regarding high speed cruising, you’ll need to check with my son! 😁 Merry Christmas 🎄 & Happy motoring 🤠
I like that definition! Road trips in the Mustang are a blast, those runs must have been a great time. Lol if there's no video or photo proof about the speed.. it didn't happen. Cheers
Great video!
Thank you!
So with a 6-speed manual you can't do the automatic rev only with the 10-speed automatic right
You got it.. can't remote start the 6 speed so remote rev isn't available. Saw someone in a forum a few years ago post about how he installed a remote starter in his manual.. and then remote started it forgetting that he left it in gear instead of neutral 🤣
Great review as always!
Thank you!
Unfortunately not.. only available in the EcoBoost Premium with HPP 200a/201a and GT Premium 400a/401a for the 2024 model
I was all in on buying one, but the sunglasses holder being overhead instead of by the knee is a deal breaker.
Go for the convertible
the dash ipods, staying with the trash MT82 trans and and staying with hard plastics in the interior kept me from getting one.
How do you think the bronze package would look on a yellow splash gt premium convertible ?
The colors wouldn't contrast too much but it would be a different look for sure
@@CarsWithSteve thanks Steve for fast reply , your videos are very informative !!!
anytime! Looking at picking one of these up soon?
Thanks!
Appreciate that David!
I understand why they dont make these remote start with a manual but its a dam shame. Although i do have remote start on my manual GT 😊
Aftermarket is always a good option for sure.. but it's unfortunate the MT doesn't have remote rev because of it!
@CarsWithSteve certain criteria has to be met or it won't start ie parking brake on and in neutral. Nice video. Got me thirsting for that GT or Dark Horse
That's brilliant and exactly what I'd hope for remote start.. What kit did you go with?
What was the color of the car again?
Full build is in the description but this one was the Dark Matter Grey Metallic
Is this gray or black?
This one is carbonized grey! Full build is in the description
I guess ford forgot what performance pack is supposed provide. PERFORMANCE!
For the newer tech and bump in performance it's not too bad at all
@@CarsWithSteve thanks for the tip. The more I look at the Dark Horse the more I want one. Thanks for the info.
Wow the digital gauge is not even a full screen!
There's a fuller screen option but it won't take up the full thing. Don't think I've come across a car from any manufacturer where the gauges are digital and actually takes up the full screen
Why is the car black?
It's the way the light hits the car. Metallic paint does that.. looks one color if you're looking at it a certain way and then comes close to blacking out at night and with different lighting
Love mine, I always have the biggest shit eating grin driving it 😂
Nice color choice! What's the full build you decided to go with?
@@CarsWithSteve 6spd GT Premium with performance package, bronze appearance package, B&O sound, active exhaust, manual recaro seats, no magneride unfortunately
Great choice on the build you went for! Any plans on taking it to the track?
DASH SUX should have enclosed at least !
Could have been worse but the new one has been growing on people I know who own the new S650 and were unsure at first
Ford has made options very pricey.
Those cars definitely have their lovers and haters as well
Bro that is not the music you have ever listened to. 😂 it’s Phil Collin’s or poison
If I could play the music I listen to and not get a copyright strike I would in a second haha
70k for a GT? No thanks. Totally happy with my loaded 2010 GT500 I picked up for 25K
This guy showed all that, but didn’t show what the car look like by showing a full view of the car.
The car was feeling a bit camera-shy
That's not a spoiler, its a wing. And "vehicle?" I think I can identify it as a car.
You know that "vehicle" is a noun that describes cars, trucks or SUVs right.. as for wing vs spoiler... i.imgflip.com/39g8b4.png
They are awesome but at that price who cares afford them.
Go for a GT 300a with Performance Pack... Some last gen ones can be found for a pretty good deal right now too
If you can't afford premium gas, you certainly can't afford the car. period.
Premium is the way to go for sure. I've heard from a few people in AU or EU where their minimum is 95 octane and goes to 100.. can only imagine how good that drive would feel
$60,000 for a Mustang? Not happening.
Sales numbers have slowed because of higher interest rates yet they're still selling..
Don’t get the performance pack and you’ll be fine , just got my gt premium for 49500
For the life of me,I can not understand the infatuation with F.B. cluster mode....effing BORING 🤯
It's a preference in style. I'm sure people look at some things you like and wonder why lol
Haha not a get off my lawn comment at all .. but you have me there with the 60's cluster. I love the 1967 Shelby GT 500 so having a layout like that would be amazing
70k for a fully loaded GT is unethical, to say the least.
300a GT is a good option for people on a budget.. But when you look at the power to price ratio, the value is there
@@CarsWithSteve True
Time Stamp: 16:40 Playing video games in your car.. This is just stupid. I was beeping at someone playing playing with their Ipads in traffic just a little while ago lol.. To me it's the same as watching people text and look at their phones while driving...... Terrible.. I get how people below 35 might like this crap.. But it's not for older people at all and they are the ones with the money.
It's only when you're stopped. Any games/videos won't work if the car is not in park
here in america, the cars made here are mostly ugly as hell, and i dont care how fast these automatic sports cars are their ugly, my 2012 cream lotus evora silver rims, 6 speed manual engine in back.. its beautiful and women flock to it like flies to shit.... keep those automatic cars and go as fast as u want...
The Lotus is definitely a well put together car and the design is fantastic. You're right about it being an eye catcher too, especially because they're a rare find in North America. Has your '12 given you any issues since you've owned it?
Nice Spec. I would get the Rev-Match Tremec 6 Speed Manual Transmission, and MagneRide is a Must. Just Uploaded 4 Videos: which were at different stages of the Mountains.. Still Editing for more 10 minute or so Videos.
I will finish the Payments on my 2022 Roush Mustang it even has the Same Intercooled Limited Slip Torsen Rear Differential from the GT500 👨🏻👍🏻🏎️🏁🚩🌲⛰️🏞️ Cool review
Great recommendations! I haven't had a chance to open up a car with MagneRide but I've heard great things about it on the track. Just watched a few of your vids, keep up the good work 👌
@CarsWithSteve Thanks, still uploading and editing. Stay tuned for the next week or so. I try not to prolong videos, and in the 360VR interactive footage. It starts at low resolution and to actually make it 4k got to settings to all my videos in 360VR. On the Description it shows instructions for 4k.
1. Go to Quality
2. Advanced Display
3. 2160S
For 4K.
Thanks for visiting my channel
I've shot quite a bit of 360 VR content as well.. not as much recently though. I always thought it was weird that it defaults to such low quality for those 360 vids
@@CarsWithSteve I know having to tell everyone to go to Settings ⚙️ to Quality, and then Advanced Display to 2160S for the 4k Resolution. 👦👍🏎🏁🚩⛰️
Great video man! I definitely want one of these
Thanks! What build do you think you'd go for in yours?
@@CarsWithSteveDefinitely the Oxford white, performance pack and the bronze package.
