Hi Sorin, I wanted to share a tip that works well for us. In our business, we take photos of the device from different angles with a good camera or smartphone right in front of the customer, pointing out even the smallest details. At the counter, we also have a security camera with audio that records and stores footage for 30 days. This way, if a customer later claims they weren’t aware of an issue, we can show them the recording where the condition of the device was reviewed, and they acknowledged it. Hope this helps!
Customer called me early morning. She said her PC is not turning on. I asked if its plug in to the wall socket. She said "Oh. I need to plug it in?". hehehe Good times. :D
Customer called. Total emergency, the fate of the world in question. The PC is needed for an important and urgent job but "crashed". After logging in remotely it turns out that it's just a dead keyboard. Since I know the guy has a wireless keyboard/mouse combo, I ask: "Have you checked the batteries?" I hear him rummaging in the background then: "No, I replaced them and it's still not working." Then I ask: "Are the batteries in the right way around?" He rummages again and says: "Yes they are!" - "Is everything plugged in correctly?" - "Yes!" So I grab a spare keyboard and drive over (wouldn't want the world to end, right?). I arrive on the scene, and just to be sure, I turn his old keyboard over and open the battery compartment. The guy (who has been peeking over my shoulder the whole time) comments: "Oh, there's batteries in there as well? Go figure!" Evidently, when we spoke on the phone, he had replaced the batteries in the mouse and not the keyboard.
Thanks to you I have greatly improved my level of repair, every day before going to my workshop I watch your videos 1 or 2 times to be sure of my repairs, thank you again, may life give you health forever
Unless a small piece of bad welding was hitting the tire or a spark had melt the tire. Everything is possible in life unless you can prove it wrong. Your hypothesis is 100% incorrect.
Another thing i forgot to mention, is that Sorin is an example of a very very good engineer with absolute terrible business skills. He doesnt know how to run a business properly and thats why he probably went to UA-cam to earn some money on his failed repairs. Some tips : He should always charge money for any diagnostic, fix or no fix. Yes, you can give a short service warranty of 1 month after repair. But then you need to seal some screws with a sticker : void warranty if broken”. I follow sorin for years on his youtube channel and i have my own repair business over 15years. I know what im talking about
You're not too old. I thought you said you just turned 50... I turned 70 this year and I'm still doing repairs as a hobby. you have a long way to go yet!
I have a GoPro mounted above my desk, when the customer drops it off i film it both sides and screen. With sent in parcels i open it on cam. Since then, things like "you caused this damage" has went to 0 🤣
Hello🤝 great repair👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏 I see you are a bit tired and you miss your home in your hometown, I know what it's like, I was abroad for 17 years, I missed it a lot, but when I came back it was nice only for a moment, it's not the same anymore, I lost something over all these years.. .. Regards and I wish you and your family all the best👋👋👋👋👋👋
I used to work as an escalation manager for a very large telecom company. I covered the internet/TV/home phone escalations. Most of the people I spoke with were reasonable but about 10% were anything but. I used to absolutely LOVE it when I would get one of these selfish, entitled people ask me "Have you ever heard about the customer always being right?" to which I would give my standard response: "I have an I outright dismiss it. I too am a customer and I promise you there have been MANY times I have been wrong". Most times I would get 10 seconds of stunned silence before they asked "Are you serious?" but occasionally they'd just start screaming, or even better, hang up as if that was going to hurt my feelings. lol Unfortunately most people have never heard the whole saying and they just cherry pick the parts that work for them. The full saying is: The customer is always right in matters of taste.
@9:45 your analyser shows date of battery manufacture as 2018. At that point you are flogging a dead horse as the battery will be pretty much toast just due to age as over 5 years is useless. The firmware often shows as good condition as a lot of laptop batteries get relatively few cycles because a lot are used with the charger plugged in for most of their life. The onboard firmware equates number of cycles with health. I know you went further and saw the cells dropping rapidly, but just wanted to share that if you see a battery >5 years old, it's just had it as regards to supplying any useful power and move on as time is money. Love your videos, keep up the great work and the stellar dodgy stuff :)
I agree. I have a Dell Latitude just come in, randomly hibernating while in use. Two of the cells have swollen, yet the BIOS still says "Battery Health: Fair"! It is 67% worn and half dead!
from my experience when you unplug the battery from a laptop and reattach it in order to turn the device back on u need t plug it in first dont ask me why this is maybe a sort of protection however once you've plug it in and started the device only after then can you turn on and turn off the device without it being plugged in not sure if this is the case with all laptops
33:26 - Professor used to tell us "You think you can go country side and raise animals? You need to use your brain there too, if you give wrong grass to animal, it can die. Start to use your brain."
I have a saying with my business - "No good deed goes unpunished". Cynical I know, but often you try to do well by people, go the extra mile as a courtesy and it backfires.
Look at end of marking code number. If it is odd number = this is P-channel mosfet. If it is even number = this is N-channel mosfet. In this video faulty mosfet (6435) last number was 5 = P-channel mosfet.
Why palmrest needed to be changed? Looks fine to me. A tiny bit worn maybe but that's normal. Customer should have left the laptop alone. If it ain't broke don't fix it ;-)
My laptop had a weird issue, after shutting it down it would reboot by itself (a symptom of a dying coil) and while gaming the laptop stopped working at all. I went to repair shop he removed a vram coil, the two mosfets connected to the coil and a total of 12 caps and, didn't bother replacing them.Obviously the gpu stopped working, the rgp on the keyboard had a weird pattern and the CMOS battery stopped working. I didn't bother going back to him so he doesn't miss something else. But that shows that sometimes the repair shops are lazy and can screw things up! At least if the customer is wrong it's from ignorance but if the repair shops are wrong it's from greed and laziness.

06:40 "just to be sure that the custom has a fully experience with technicians" 😭😭 I cried 🤣
I always use the garage senario. If you go in for a new exhaust you cant come back a month later and say you have a flat tyre and it must be related 😅
If you give a warranty after repair this is a different scenario.
😂

and that means it's the original battery came from the laptop

Good repair, i see one of the fans placed the wrong side
How is the internal resistance high on the cells with only 150 cycles on the battery, It needs a new battery or not?
Very Nice! 😎
33:28 Yeah, it’s time to live a little !
16:58 at the corner of Sorin's camera is blown fuse?
coming from batery plus 3 pin port
A hard one. Not a eazy pitza
The customer is always wrong you're there to put them right.
To quote House MD everybody lies
28:20 2 wires sticking out of the battery connector.
Thats a black marker
black color mark , not wires . but good catch .

sometimes customer says, can you check my laptop? no problem on my laptop, just no power only
How do you identify channel p mosfet
If it is acting as a switch on the positive rail then it's channel P. If it is acting as a switch on the GND then it's channel N
@@Sergiu_K didnt know its that simple
