I was already a huge Scottie fan and this makes me like him even more. He’s still showing the ultimate respect to the officers involved and somehow explaining his innocence without throwing anyone under the bus. Absolutely no pun intended out of respect to the family. Absolute masterclass on how to handle a horrible situation.

Very true. The video footage will show if this cop went out of his training for the slightest second and will most likely lose his job. They are people just like us and situational training is so important. A lot of law enforcement are oblivious and a major change in training, pay, and several other factors need to be put in place.

Exactly. Trial by news reports updated every 10 minutes, and comments. It is absolutely no way to make an assessment. Does everything have to be decided in 15 minutes, or should we have trials on the spot, in the rain, surrounded by cameras, with 12 bystanders pulled out of the crowd who can’t hear and didn’t personally see anything? This is why - if there’s a trial - you have sworn testimony, in a controlled setting, under rules of evidence, with counsel representing both sides, etc, etc. And thank goodness for that.

To me, it sounds like, that he tried to get out of traffic and do what he wanted to do because he is a Golfer, “the number 1 in the World” He didn’t listen to the “Police Officer” because he thought it was an “Security Guard ( You are nobody attitude, Do you know who I am”. Scottie mentioned he thought he was a Security Guard because of the yellow jacket he had on. So he gave the guard less respect and tried to do what he wanted to do because who he is. Power and Control. He was a little cocky to me on the press conference. Witnesses seem like they on Scotties Side because He Is “The Worlds Number 1 Golfer” , “ The Number 1 Golfer in the World” As he can do any wrong. The Policer should have had on his body camera.

I don't care if the police officer was a jerk. But when those flash lights going off on the top of the vehicles, they are the cops not the securities. You need to comply with them no matter what. You're dumb as shit, dude. Thought all the media folks at this press conference did a great job of asking questions that hovered around the situation but didn't directly go into the actual incident with Scottie and the cops. And Scottie was very professional in addressing everything to the best of his ability, given that he's now embroiled in legal trouble for what may amount to miscommunication.

Oh Scottie, Oh Scottie, give me a break. People are arrested everyday, accused of crimes of a more serious nature with less resources than Scottie Scheffler, and with bigger concerns than making a tee time, and go through a trial prior to being released. I'm sure Scottie Scheffler will survive, innocent or not, yet to be determined by law.

arrogance with ignorance is always a recipe for disaster. FYI- other golfers complained to pga they had to walk to the course . The pga uses signs on the pro’s cars to avoid traffic jams and get to the course, not because they are entitled, because they have sponsor requirements and practice before teeming off.

Big fan of Scotty but people lets be real, he lost his shit because he put his tee time above the law, drove through a crime scene and injured a police officer and deliberately disobeyed direction from the police who were investigating a fatality, he lost his shit and acted like a fool, they should have kept him in jail for one night to learn a lesson here, instead he is getting praised for his behavior and his golf performance, professional athletes think the whole world revolves around them and they get preferential treatment that we the public do not get. Its concerning how what he did is being brushed off, somebody lost their life that morning. He is lucky he didnt cause another fatality. Hope the golf Gods seek retribution on him this weekend.
