Environment, Music, and Dialogue (EMID.Project) is an artistic project that began in January 2020 with children and juveniles in Iran and then continued in Sweden. The project was carried out in the form of creative workshops where children and juveniles got to make their own musical instruments based on recycled materials.
We used debris from the sea and around us to create our own musical instruments. We created musical encounters across cultural and age boundaries. It became a musical intercultural dialogue concerning environmental issues and children and young people's creation, participation, and autonomy where different musical expressions and sounds from different materials and cultures met.
