I've been teaching myself to do digital art with a tablet and a pencil for a couple of months - I usually would draw with a mouse on like online art boards, and it was ok, but I wanted to be able to advance and use more modern tools. I'm having so much fun watching tons of technique videos to just understand how artists think in the digital space and I've now completed 3 practice pieces and this tutorial is one that I keep coming back to over and over again just to study how you create your lines and shapes, how you fill, and how you do the fades and stuff. Thanks for this tutorial because it really does show step - by- step (pretty much) how to create a very nice piece. I am currently doing a different style of coloring and shading - using only 5-6 shades of skin, plus 1-3 tones for highlight and shade. I'm layering the colors - not blending them, but blending is something I'll really start to focus on next. I think what I'm doing now is helping to train my hands and eyes - the smoothness of the lines, the connections, and the tapers are a challenge for me at the moment, but I know the more I do the better I will get. I'm challenging myself to do at least 10-15 digital portraits. If anyone wants me to do one of the ten for them for free (as practice - quality not guaranteed) - leave me a comment!

You can tap two fingers on the screen to undo too and tap three fingers on the screen to redo btw. Hold down both options to do multiple undo/redos
