"Silent solitude" this song will forever be a masterpiece, one if not the most beautiful ending song ever in all of anime history, also i'm happy that someone else also noticed that the 3rd ending had some hidden meanings
I love how in the third season Ainz really seemed to have lost all his humanity and compassion, while in the fourth season they return to show us his good side by showing us how he treats the inhabitants of his kingdom peacefully
@@saumyamishra7216 I've read all the Light novels except for the latest one, is the massacre you talking about going to take place during the movie that's planned? I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about but it's been so long lmao
I'm really surprised not many people talk about this ending. I really love the outro and the meaning how each panel shows something sinister is brewing and consuming everything.
Honestly I really hope Maruyama Returns to his original plan and gives overlord 20 or slightly more volumes He can take as many breaks as he wants I just want more overlord
That would be awesome as long as the quality is good haha, all good things come to end so I wouldn’t want more Overlord content but it’s bad. Also I think I heard that he was burnout from writing the story, his health comes first so I wouldn’t want him to force himself to continue doing something that doesn’t bring him joy.
Ainz was the inspiration for my favourite D&D character. I absolutely fell in love with the concept of an undead being who is unable to feel emotions like empathy or sympathy but still has a fundamental understanding of what those emotions are “supposed” to feel like and how you’re “supposed” to act in certain situations. I love the idea of an undead being who while still capable of understanding the difference between right and wrong, is unable to actually feel any of the emotions that come with those sentiments.
I LOVE THAT SONG TOO Or at least, at the time, I loved it non-stop, along with the ending of goblin slayer! I would have liked to find people who would have liked those endings as much as I do.
The verdict of the story in general, you should never feel any empathy for humans in this story because everyone will either be dead, cattle or some sort of slave, humanity is just doomed in this universe.
That’s an interesting way to see it, although maybe we might be surprised and we’ll see Ainz actually get challenged by actual Yggdrasil players and potentially lose/die.
My biggest issue with overlord is that the author depicts ainz as a complete and helpless idiot who is way out of his league. This type of trope is fine in the beginning of a series. But when the story is in double digits in volumes there should be some character development. In latest light novel I have been very hard time forcing myself to keep reading. I had such high hopes for the final part.
Hm yeah that isn’t a part of Ainz’s character that I like, I haven’t read the latest light novel but I totally understand where you’re coming from. I also need to refresh myself on what has happened in the LNs past the anime, it’s been two years haha
There is character development as he constantly reviews and studies all the reports and books that he recieves. He just has impostor syndrome, so he himself thinks he's way out of his league.
Because that's the reality. People dont just adjust to ruling a whole nation, and actually understand what that entails. Part of the tension in the story intact comes from that, wondering if they will ever figure that out.

I really hope you do a similar video for season 4’s ED, No Man’s Dawn.

Yeah same here haha, if Ainz was just a completely cruel and unfair ruler, I don’t think the show would work lmao

This song just hits different on all calibers
Very good analysis of the ed!!!. Could you do more overlord content?
Thank you! Also it’s probably in the works 👀
In my opinion, Overlord is basically what Marvel universe would be if Doctor Doom was the main character
Totally! Finally someone else that can see Doom's potential!
I need to read Fantastic Four comics at some point lol

I think ainz will dominate the world and will be the end boss in the end then there will be players who will try to defeat him
I’ve heard that theory here and there, I think that would be a cool direction to take the story 👀
